The Cress on Oak Creek Prix Fixe Dinner menu has been paused through April 2020. During this time, the Cress All-Menu will be available from 11:30am- 9:00pm. For Reservations starting May, 2020, Prix Fixe Dinner is served every night from 5:00pm - 9:00pm.

Really great entres with unique deserts..Every dish was wonderful..equal to many 2 star experiences i have had..staff was friendly and efficient albeit not as knowledegeable on the history of the property..great setting!
decent wine list with a few rarities (Vega, SQN, and even a HA fortification)

Was not advised about a pre-set menu when reserved. The menu did not offer a variety that we cared for & it was exceptionally expensive for what we ordered.
They also serve “French style” and forgot to bring us courses in between and rushed us through the meal.
I’m disappointed because we heard great things about it...

Food was excellent. Only grip I have is with your two person tables are so wobbly that we had to ask for something placed under them. Even our neighboring table was very wobbly. It was to the point I felt we couldn’t eat.

We have been here many times and always enjoy the food and experience. This past experience was slightly different though, the first two courses were rushed and even overlapped at times. Then the main course took 30-40 mins to show up after the frist two courses, which is very uncharacteristic of this restaurant. The sad part is we think this waiter was probably one of the best we have had from a knowledge point but just did not execute or something went wrong in the kitchen.

Generally a positive experience; however, we could hear men in the kitchen (I guess it was the kitchen) having a political discussion.... loud enough we heard every word. Totally inappropriate.

Pricey but totally worth it! Service was a little too attentive, but the recommendations were great. You get a great experience for your money. The chef is very inventive in his options and does some amazing combinations of flavors and textures incredible for the eyes as well as the palette.

We waited over an hour for our food and when it arrived it was incorrect and overcooked. It seems we were forgotten about. A bartender greeted us and said our server would be right with us, but when he returned with drinks said he would be taking care of us. All was well for a while, our appetizer came quickly and the bartender said our food would be out shortly, but it was at least 45 minutes between the appetizers and entrees. When our food came my steak was very overcooked (sitting under a heat lamp probably) And my husband’s food was lacking one of the main ingredients. In their defense, the manager did come over to us and refired and comped our entrees. However, when you’re paying that much, I expect better service and food. We wanted to order dessert, but there was such a lag in service after dinner, we skipped it.

We were so excited to sit by Oak Creek and dine like shown in all the photos. We arrived and the valets and front desk staff were very pleasant. Our table was not ready (had reservations) so we waited for 15 minutes. We were seated outside but, not close to the creek. The view was OK, but you could hear the water which was pleasant. No other patrons were seated by the creek either and the restaurant was not full. Our server was very nice, but over-loaded. With no bus staff to help her all of our dirty dishes were never cleared. The warm bread and champagne was delicious. The onion soup was only OK. The Sedona trout was very over-fried and small. The hamburger was decent, but the fries were soggy and not edible. The celery salad was mediocre and lacked seasoning. I guess my expectations were too high after reading the reviews. Maybe it was an off day for the chef? Sedona has a lot of great restaurants, so in my opinion Cress needs to step-up their game.

Cheyenne was a sweet, friendly, helpful server who could not have done a better job making our experience more memorable! From our wine selection, appetizer to entree, she was so helpful in making our selections! Always love dining here and will be back!

The view of the creek is gorgeous and the service was amazing. We had the duck spring rolls and hailbut fish. Everything was well presented and came out in perfect timing. Highly recommend for a romantic dinner!

Overall I was extremely disappointed. Food took so long to come out ... waitress forgot some of our order... I wasn’t given a spoon with soup.. this stuff happens but not when you are paying over 200 hundred dollars. Had a really bad feeling paying that much.

Food was amazing but small portions, definitely not for big eaters unless you get a few appetizers. I went for creek side seating, which they didn’t have this time of year so that was the only disappointing part. Not exaggerating, the food was so impressive. So many flavors. I got the bison tortellini and l’ouef dessert.

We were seated outside on the heated deck. It was scenic and comfortable. The service was exceptional. Our waiter was helpful and fun giving us a great experience. The food was excellent but maybe a little overpriced.

We had a bit of trouble finding the restaurant — warning— Siri (Apple Maps) thinks it’s at the hotel next door; that doesn’t sound too problematic, but in truth it isn’t easy to get from one to the other, with construction and the roundabouts in that area of Sedona. Google Maps did get us there eventually!
The restaurant was really nice, and everything was very well done. Service attentive without being intrusive. Pricey, but we thought the experience and the food were worth it.

We had to wait about 25 minutes between being seated and meeting our waiter. We had to wait about 20 minutes between courses. Our waiter ended up giving us a 'discount' for the inconvenience. Something was obviously going on the night we were there.

While the setting was beautiful and the service was very attentive, the food itself was not bad, just not very special. Both dinner service and breakfast were disappointing- the food was slow to arrive and not very hot.

For the prices we paid for prix fixe dinner and single glasses of wine, it was overpriced. The main part of each course was cooked perfectly but the dishes accompaniments were odd seemed not cohesive and did not add to the dish. Wines by the bottle and glass were VERY overpriced
The halibut was delicious as was the filet. The foi gras was perfectly cooked but the rest of the dish overwhelmed it.
In better weather, the setting would have been amazing

The chefs should be commended. The food was hot and very good. The service was poor. Lack of menu knowledge and inattentive. The caliber of the food deserved much better service. The music was more appropriate for a nursing home. The music should be upgraded to match the good food and setting. They are really missing the mark on what could have been a much better experience.

We had a very lovely Valentine’s Day dinner with a préfixe menu. All of the courses were very artfully, creatively and tastefully presented. Service was attentive without being overbearing. The only discordant note was an extra large Valentine’s Day dessert that seemed out of sync with the elegance of the rest of the meal. Definitely not inexpensive certainly worth it.
