Totally met our expectations for a special meal. The service was fantastic. Waitress truly knew the menu. The food was outstanding. We sat inside and the noise level became pretty loud. The seating outside, if temps permit looks awesome.
Perfect in every way.
This was truly a bright spot of our time in Sedona. First class dining in a beautiful atmosphere, with rushing rapids a short distance from our table. The wine list was excellent and the wait staff was knowledgable of the many available options. Food was well prepared, with an excellent combination of locally and distantly sourced ingredients. Not sure when I will be back in Sedona, but I highly recommend this wonderful dining experience.
Service was very good, but the food was quite disappointing for the price. Looked beautiful but some of the dishes were quite bland - lacking in flavor complexity. Plus they charged us $8 for a cappuccino!!
No outdoor seating. Lobster was undercooked. Food was good but not great for expected price point.
Cress is a delightful and delicious restaurant in the beautiful L'Auberge de Sedona resort. Service, ambiance, and food exceeded our expectations.
Celebrited my boyfriend's birthday here and it was perfect.
We had an absolutely wonderful evening! The location is beautiful, food/cocktails and service outstanding, wonderful ambiance. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we'll be returning as soon as we can!
Presentation and service wonderful. Food terrific and inventive. the between course"tastes" offered were a highlight
Michael is probably the best waiter we’ve ever met. That was our consensus at the end of the night
Wonderful experience. Great food, great service, beautiful room
The setting is very nice. The wait staff were excellent. The food was disappointing, especially at that price. It was $315 for 2 to get the 3 course meal with a couple of glasses of wine and the tip. we would have been okay with the price if it was an exceptional meal, but it was mediocre. Note that self parking is not available. You must use valet Also, when we got there my wife wanted to take a look around (wanted to look at the outside area by the creek) as we were early for our reservation and we were told that if we we didn't stay at the table we might lose the nice table we had so it's better just to stay.
We had a window table & great view of the rushing creek water. Even with the pounding rain, we enjoyed the great service, attention & helpful hints we received from our delightful & charming server. I've enjoyed dining here before but it was the first time for my guest and she was extremely impressed with the entire evening.
Compliments to the Chef for the fish special of the evening. It was outstanding.
If you are looking for a romantic dinner in Sedona with incredible food- Cress it TOPS! Try Chef's three course tasting menu to wake up your tastebuds. I absolutely devoured the duck confit rolls. Other tasty bites include prosciutto wrapped escargot, butter poached maine lobster, roasted lamb loin, and finished off with a zest of cress. Ask for Michael- probably the best Somm and server I have ever had in my life. He can read you the menu and I swear, you will salivate. Just a beautiful experience in a romantic dimly lit atmosphere where you can have a conversation and sip wonderful vino!
My wife and I would absolutely recommend Cress to anyone. Michael our server was as good as it gets. The food was outstanding and the ambience just wonderful. Great wine list but more importantly we were guided through the alternatives and picked a wonderful wine to pair with our dinners. It does not get much better than this!
We had a very lovely dinner. My steak was very salty, but otherwise delicious. We had a wonderful time and the service was great. The full team had us feeling cared for.
Great service and food experience
Totally wonderful. Great variety. Was snowed in and the staff made the best of it in every way.
Hands down one of the best meals we have ever experienced!
Place is amazing across the board. Food and ambiance and second to none.
Great restaurant - - - food, service and ambiance exceptional.
I was not overly impressed which is unfortunate as I was really looking forward to a good dining experience. Most of the starter options were "cold" and flavorless. The main options were limited and the 2 dishes we ordered came with a weird potato mash (more akin to puree). The deserts were way too sweet and rich and again - no warm options, which would have been nice on a snowy day like the day we dined there. We left utterly uninspired and reluctant to come back.
Having dined at Cress before, we were expecting a leisurely evening. However, we felt that our waiter was trying to push things along as it was Valentine's weekend. Our waiter was difficult to understand due to the noise level in the restaurant that evening. No doubt we will dine there again, but in the summertime when we can eat outside. And, we will ask to have Colby serve us.
Tasty and cozy. Worth every penny.
Drinks, apps and dessert were great. Vegetarian mains option could have been better
Service was slow-ish though the staff was understanding and warm.
We din get much of a view, though possibly was the weather
Gorgeous spot and amazing food. Absolutely no complaints there.
The service was a bit slow with it taking 1 hour after entrees to get dessert and the check.
Once the check came, our server could not figure out how to use an Amex gift card (exact same as any Amex card) and it got worse when 2 cards were needed to cover the tab. It’s 2019 and people split checks and use gift cards all the time.
We were in from Denver on a Valentine's get away... the staff were excellent and made the experience perfect - one of our best nights out to date!
Amazing birthday experience. The cod was succulent. My filet was near perfection. A smidge disappointed there was some gristle in it. Otherwise a perfect evening!!! Thank you!!
We ate at L'Auberge for the first time on our recent visit to Sedona for Valentine's Dinner. First off, I made the reservation for our dinner months in advance and requested a window table, when we got there they wanted to sit us next to a back wall....finally gave us a large booth that had a fair view of the dining room...not very impressed. Menu was the typical overpriced pre fixe menu for Valentines which is ok if the food is delicious...it was not. It tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Only bright spot was the service which was very good. I would probably give this restaurant another chance on a regular night just to see if the food lives up to its reputation. Would definitely NOT go when a pre fixe menu.
Price point too high for the value. Food was excellent, very small portions. My ordered entree was reported out when my server returned. Noise level a bit high.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. Colby, our server, was incredibly knowledgeable and charming. The food was spectacular. I have dined all over the world and have never had cuisine this daring and delicious. We will be back again soon!
Food was exceptional, server extremely attentive, but we had to wait about 20 minutes to be acknowledged after getting our table. It was cold outside so we were all indoors that evening and the noise level eventually got really uncomfortable.
Food has gone downhill in recent years. One dish was excellent....the rest average at best.
The service was « too » much good but especially fast. Just time to order an aperitive and the first waiter brings the starter. No time to eat the preaperitive course.
At the beginning water service in each time we drunk and disappears 30 minutes later.
The main waiter was vert professional and assisted us until the end of menu.
Excellent! We will be back!
Service and food were both great. Unusual offerings included rabbit which was great.
While staying at L'Auberge de Sedona, we dined at Cress. We enjoyed outstanding cocktails, food and wine as well as excellent service. The three-course tasting menu was attractive, and the courses we sampled were creative, visually appealing and delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. Our server Micheal displayed a thorough knowledge of the entire menu. We look forward to returning to Cress for an outdoor lunch in the spring.
The restaurant setting is beautiful and gives all the appearances of a very exquisite dining experience. Unfortunately very early bread were served. The rolls seemed to be something from a Costco store. Cold, dry, and a little stale. First impressions are important and so I could be overly critical but from that point forward every course seemed fair to bland. I had the lamb loin which was good but the accompanying ragout was not to my liking at all. The extensive wine list was much over priced. To spend nearly $400 for two was too much for such a medium quality dinner. I would not recommend.
