We had an amazing experience at the Creek. It was a perfect place for celebrating our anniversary. Our sever Colton was very friendly and accommodating. Everything was perfect!
If you're so lucky to get a creekside table, you'll agree with me; it was absolutely beautiful! We just stopped through for my girlfriend's 30th birthday. The ambiance was phenomenal, food perfect, staff courteous and friendly. Well worth the price.
The setting--a few feet away from Oak Creek--was incomparable. The food was very good, however not as creative as I would expect a fine dining place to be. In addition, my arctic char was overcooked. That said, the vegetables were very flavorful and fresh. The dessert and cocktail menus, however, were very creative. I highly recommend the mescal margarita and the espresso martini. (The latter was not on the menu, but was made perfectly by the mixologist}. Service was competent but lacking at times, e.g. water glasses were unfilled at times, I had to request a second beverage, and my dessert beverage was delivered after my dessert was served. This is not acceptable at a fine dining restaurant.
Over priced, food was bland , servings small, could not understand the waiter and had to go out for pizza later that night after a $300 meal. Never again. Avoid at all costs.
Would recommend this spot to everyone. Beautifully executed culinary experience!
Poor quality and teeny tiny portion. Food was not prepared right and very bland. First off when we walked in no one greeted us we were standing next to the bar and didn’t see where we needed to check in. The bar employees ignored us. Then we saw to go down the stairs and a waiter comes running from around a corner and almost plowed into us once we were seated the waitress never came back to get us another drink. The appetizer was one bite, while it did taste good it was so punie. We both ordere the filet medium and it came out rare. It was so mushy we both knew it was really rare. We didn’t want it recooked. A restaurant of this caliber should know how to cook a steak properly. The lobster ravioli , I think it was that was so doughy and I didn’t even get a bite of lobster. We just left and didn’t eat. I wasn’t going to pay $200 for one bite appetizer and a bad steak. Disappointing!!
From the moment you step outside and hear the water running to the chefs cookies at the end of the meal, it was wonderful. Sitting by the river/ stream was such a change from the hot dry weather in Sedona. It is a fixed price meal and be aware, the portions are decent size. My husband thought they would be small so he ordered 4 courses and ended up bringing food home( which was fabulous the next day).
The filet mignon was nothing I ever tasted. It melted in your mouth like butter!! Asparagus and burratta was awesome and filling. Service was spot on. May go back again before we leave Sedona!! Hopefully!!
An incredible and memorable experience!
Expensive. Must order three courses. Main entree is a small portion, but tasty.
Was very dissatisfied with the service as well as the food. Although I will say that the ambiance was quite nice.
I can see why it is rated one of the top spots for the ambience, unfortunately I would not say the same for the food or the service.
Don’t bother as not worth it...service was Applebee’s level and ended with forgetting to order dessert and packing it up...great location and food pretty good but doesn’t justify price...go elsewhere
The atmosphere was excellent with the sound of the creek in the background. The food in general was very good, however the stand out feature was the setting. An enjoyable evening.
After many years of traveling to and dining in Sedona, we finally decided to try Cress on Oak Creek. We loved the seating next to Oak Creek and knew the tab would be on par with a NYC dinner. The setting was phenomenal, the prix fixe meal was outstanding. The put-off was the $10 charge added to the bill for parking. Wha...? There is a circuitous way to get to the restaurant without having to pay for parking (via Sinagua and the Amara) but I suppose you wouldn't then be seen driving up to the valet in your Bentley.
Service and food was absolutely amazing. Set on the banks of Oak Cree, the setting is incredibly romantic and intimate even though it is outside. We went there on the last night of our vacation in Sedona and it was a perfect wrap to a perfect trip. Would absolutely go again next time we travel there.
Cress offers the very best of the Sedona experience with the ambiance of Oak Creek coupled with attentive service and exceptionally creative cuisine. A most relaxing environment removed from the hustle of Uptown Sedona and the tasting offers unique combinations which are beyond savory. Makes a visit to Sedona complete with a lasting memory.
Food was incredible. Service a little uneven. Crazy expensive for the food you get, although it was delicious.
Even though damp weather, our dinner was lovely. Appetizers and amuse Bouche were amazing. Our staff could not have been nicer, professional and prepared. Unfortunately halibut was dry (over cooked?). Desserts were pretty and tasty.
Dinner at Cress was amazing. Everything from the moment you walk in is for the comfort and experience of the customer. The food was beautiful, delicious, and so flavorful. The service is on point. There's no rushing. The wait staff have great suggestions for the meal but are not pushy. I'm so glad to have had this dinning experience. When you come bring your appetite but believe me you'll leave full.
Wonderful restaurant, get a table along the stream. Service was perfect, food was amazing. A great romantic place for an anniversary or date. So wonderful the experience that a guy could even propose to his girlfriend there. The cost of the meal would for us be a a once a year treat, but for the experience and food it was worth the price.
Excellent meal for my husband and I. Amazing pork belly and honey glazed game hen. Great wine suggestion from waitress. Cicadas loudly sounded off while we enjoyed cocktails first. Awesome ambience. Best meal I have ever had there!!
We were expecting to sit outside. However due to a storm warning, the restaurant was not serving dinner on the patio. Without the ambiance of the creek, we found the experience to be lacking. Food was delicious and inventive but portions were small. Service by all employees and attention to detail were excellent. Overall, we felt our dinner was overpriced and without the seating by creek, nothing spectacular.
Everything was AMAZING!!! One of the most beautiful, best served places I've ever been too! Worth every penny!!
I went alone as a celebration to myself. What a spectacular venue, with outstanding food and service. Loved Joel. He was kind and super attentive.
Had to eat inside because of weather. That cut down on the experience of sitting by the creek. Still very nice
What an outstanding restaurant. This was the best meal I’ve had in years. The service, the ambience, the attention to detail was impeccable. I look forward to going again next time I’m in the area.
Very poor welcome, bad service, discussing bref , poor service, good food though
Not a good value for money
Service was dreadful!! The setting is absolutely amazing, but an overall disappointing experience.
Perfect spot for our babymoon getaway! Delicious 3 course meal with fun hors d'oeuvres between courses. Definitely an experience we'll always remember!
Went for our anniversary, and couldn't be more pleased from the time we drove up till they got our car. Service was fantastic and food was even better! Staff was very accommodating to us!
Disappointing. Only time we have eaten there. Not likely to go back.
Place was packed so we assumed a good choice. We generally don’t not write scathing reviews; it could have been an off night and we thought they were very understaffed.
Service was slow. Water after 30 minutes. Order taken at 45 minutes. Food arrived 1:15 later. Reservation n at 8:15. David Bergin served at 9:50pm.
Food was not good. Chef offered two complimentary appetizers, both very odd and cold. Salads were overwhelmed with sauce. Very heavy. Main course of scallops cold. Three scallops for $33.
Desert was lemon meringue of some kind. Inedible. Waitress comped desert. Bread came with desert.
Manager Lisa and chef talked to us. Very nice and concerned. $375 later and upon seeing check, final slap was $9.75 for valet.
Worst value we’ve experienced at a restaurant in 20 years. Again, maybe an off night. Waitress was nice nice, just overworked given lack of support.
Well prepared, creative cuisine brought to the table by attentive staff - what more could we ask for? Perhaps a gorgeous table sitting alongside a creek, where the sound of the rushing water doesn't prevent quiet conversation... well, we had it that too. From start to finish, L'Auberge is dining at its finest. End of story.
very tasty and artistic meals
and decor was cozy
The service at the bar was the worst that we ever experienced since we have been coming to L’auberge for the 7 years.
Other than that, the dining experience was fantastic. The waiter was super friendly and very helpful.
This restaurant is extraordinary. The chef is very talented and we have eaten in many fine restaurants. We had a special evening that we will never forget.
Amazing place!!! Waiter Joel was the best waiter I’ve probably ever encountered. Very knowledgeable with the food and wine
We very much enjoyed sitting by the creek and dining on five star dinners at Cress. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was spot on. Very attentive when we wanted something but very respectful when we were quietly talking and enjoying our dinner.
We had dined here years ago and thought we would revisit for a birthday celebration. Times have changed and not for the better, extremely overpriced for very average cuisine. Very disappointing!
This placed was recommended by a client of mine. While the creek was beautiful and relaxing, the mosquitoes were horrible. I got bit multiple times and it was extremely uncomfortable. Also, while there, a Skunk was running around right in front of us on the rocks which was scary. Lots of flies and bugs which I think is normal due to the running water.
Food was served in very small portions. I ordered the Halibut which sounded great but it was very dry and no flavor whatsoever. The Lamb chops was really good and tender. The server was very pleasant and courteous. Overall experience wasn't good and it was very pricey for the amount and quality of food you get. Sorry! I wish I could have given them a better review but I'm being honest and stating the facts.
This is our 4th time to Cress and there is not a more beautiful setting for a romantic dinner. Unfortunately, unlike our past experiences there, the food was disappointing. We even had to return the rolls which were hard as rocks and inedible - that has never happened before as we pretty much love anything bread! We had several other wondeful meals in Sedona and saved Cress for last. The cost was almost double every other meal we had and clearly not worth it.
Awesome location & food, a bit pricey for what you get.. over $300 for dinner for 2..
