Crescent Lodge Restaurant
The service was amazing. Food was very good. Nice romantic setting.
What a perfect spot for a nice dinner in the Poconos. Price was extremely reasonable for high end food. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. They even called my daughter on an antique phone she was playing with which made her night. I'd highly recommend and will revisit our next trip to the Poconos.
We took a chance at a place off the beaten path where we had never been before. We came in with a very large group, and the staff was very service-oriented and welcoming. Ours is a group with discerning palettes, and everyone really enjoyed their dishes. We had the duck, prime rib, chicken cordon bleu, pasta bolognese, and others, and all were tasty, well prepared, and well presented. The service was also great; the waitresses were on point. The ambiance was calming, with a piano player in the background, complete with quaint Poconos decor (do not read 'outdated' - seems like they've taken pains to keep things traditional, but somehow also updated). Overall, we were very impressed with this sweet, low-key place and will be back!
What appears to be a quaint, family style restaurant is a hidden culinary delight. We had a party of 9 and everyone raved about their meals. The service was on point from start to finish. The photos online of the interior don't do it justice. While it certainly takes on the charm of a country inn, it's warm and inviting.
The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. We would definitely recommend.
Great everything! Give it a try for yourself!! We thoroughly enjoyed it all.
The food was well prepared, all fresh vegetables and large portions. Perfectly cooked prime rib. Homemade desserts. The server was friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere. Moderately priced. It is Christmas time and it is nicely decorated for the Holidays.
Chef Justin is always consistent with ever meal! Always perfect!
Beautiful restaurant with excellent staff. Appetizers were delicious. However, two of the entrees- the grilled pork chop and rib eye steak were over cooked and not flavorful, the veal chop special and salmon were delicious. The desserts were average. We’ll definitely go back as ambience and staff were wonderful.
This was our first visit to this venue. The food was excellent though a little pricey. Service was timely and gracious. We will go again.
The decor is old and the carpets look dirty. The service was slow and on a Saturday night they were out of chicken. The food was awful and we couldn't even eat some of it. Waitress gave us the wrong bill and was rude when we told her. Overall it was awful and I would never go back.
Food was very good and the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing!
We enjoyed our dinner at crescent lodge.
Adding entertainment would be enjoyable.
My husband and I had a belated Valentines Day on Friday night. I had the Gnocchi with short rib ragu which was great. My husband had penne pasta with pesto and shrimp. He loved it. Our appetizer were also good. We shared gelato for dessert. The service was excellent. We would definitely return.
We arrived early to our reservation and waited a bit before even greeted. Then we had to wait again several minutes before being seated. Now I can understand if the place was busy, but it was dead. Long story short, the server was slow and very forgetful. The table next to use had to use our cheese because she kept forgetting to bring a side of cheese out to them. The menu is small, and way overpriced for the food you end up with!!! I would of had a better meal at any chain restaurant and saved myself the troubles!! Wouldn’t go back if you paid me too!! The decor is also, from 1967 when the place opened and the rug looked so dirty. Just overall, not worth anyone’s time. I was a top corporate server trainer for a multimillion dollar company. So trust me, I know service and the food industry. This place was overall, horrible. Then to top it off, I go to pay with a $100.00 bill and the place doesn’t have change!!!! Stay away!!!!!!!
Visited on Valentine's Day and was disappointed in many ways. This was our first time back since the restaurant was re-opened. No linen tablecloths, no pianist, no ambiance. The music was not pleasant. The service was very slow, however, our waiter apologized as did the hostess.
About the food; the pasta Bolognese was not what I expected. I asked our waiter if the sauce was ground beef as I am intolerant of pork, lamb, and veal. He assured me it was beef. Apparently the meat had lamb in it and it resembled sausage. Chef's are free to be innovative with their recipes but the menu should state that so the customers are aware before they order. Having said this, my husband loved his duck and I actually thought my homemade pasta was wonderful, just not the sauce. The hostess did remove my dinner from our bill. I would have ordered something different if I had known.
Despite all, we will try it again. Sometimes holidays are a good judge of a restaurant.
It's kind of in the middle of nowhere but we enjoyed the food and service very much.
This restaurant must have changed chefs again. When we visited last year (during the week) the food was great and the place was busy - we needed the reservation. This time (again during the week) the food was average to below average and very overpriced for what you received. Also, the place was nearly empty - two other patrons besides our party of four - so the reservation wasn't needed. The waiter was OK but when asked for suggestions he indicated "whatever". In the future we will certainly be looking elsewhere to spend our money.
Food was excellent and a good value. Place was recommended by friends and we are glad we went. Would absolutely go back.
I had high hopes for dinner at Crescent Lodge, but it did not meet those hopes. The food was good, but given there were very few people in there for dinner, our service was very poor. Also, the menu did not reflect accurately the food we ordered - for instance three of us ordered the filet medallions, which stated we would receive two 4 oz filets each, but only one filet that MAYBE was 5 or 6 oz. Our other entree, pan seared scallops, didn't even come with any sides which was odd too. All in all, the food we received was good, but we were disappointed overall.
We took my parents here and we all really enjoyed our meals. We will definitely return.
New Chef is amazing wish him well Needs to get the word out that such an extraordinary person in in the kitchen
The food, service, and ambiance was/is 5 stars, and above. Their prices are reasonable, and the portions huge Everything is made to order and additional requests, or changes, are "too much trouble or unavailable." Their Holiday decorations add a great deal to the warmth and friendliness of the entire staff. Excellent bar tender, as well. We all will definitely return.
Gourmet on the long valley road. Wow, we were floored! Duck, ahi tuna, steaks like butter, all in a scene reminiscent of the restaurant in “White Christmas”. Quaint & retro meet gourmet in The Poconos!
Thank you for the wonderful review. We appreciate the awesome comments.
Restaurant was nice, could use a little update but over all comfortable. The wait staff was great, very attentive. Diner was fantastic especially the mashed potatoes. I know that sounds a little strange but they were fantastic. Can’t wait to go back.
First timer. I brought my wife to Crescent Loge and Crescent Lodge Restaurant for her birthday.
We absolutely loved both. The restaurant was quiet, the service we had was excellent, food great, and having a pianist playing old standards just made for a perfect evening. When we arrived back home we began discussing when we will returning for another fabulous weekend and fine dining. Thank you.
We have dined here often for several years and are glad to find them now on Open Table. The menu is solid and sufficiently diverse for most diners to find good options - plus there are always specials - and the prices are quite reasonable. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We only have one issue - the wine list is limited and pretty much out of date, and the wines by the glass are even more limited. Fortunately, they allow BYO with a reasonable corkage fee, but be prepared for a listed wine not to be available if you go that route.
My wife and I decided to make a reservation here for our 16 year Annivesary. We were not disappointed. The host was super friendly and our waiter was awesome as well. For a Friday evening, it was not busy at all. We ordered our drinks and appetizer. For the appetizer we had the clams with Green Sauce (which was delicious and tender). My wife had the Lamb Chops (very good and melted in your mouth), and I ordered the Cajun Seafood (Shrimp, Lobster). The only complaint we had is that we were so full, we didn't leave room for dessert. The price is good, the atmosphere was good and the service was good. We will definitely visit again.
Poor leadership reflects itself in every negative customer experience. Sat down to a table set with dirty silverware 15 minutes to get two glasses of wine in dirty wine glasses. Wilted romaine on two Caesar salads. A very long hair in the Kobe beef bolognese. Luke warm entrees. Absentee server and manager. This is not fine dining in its current state but has the potential to be stellar...with good leadership.
We had a wonderful dinner and we loved our server, Evie. She was so sweet and hospitable.
Dining at the Crescent Lodge Restaurant is a treat. We had dined here several times before and it never failed to impress. This time was no exception. The food is absolutely delicious. We were three couples and we all loved it, both nights. The ambience is cozy and inviting. Our server was excellent. From the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts, all were top notch. I recommend very highly the Crescent Lodge Restaurant. We stayed at the Crescent Lodge Inn also, which is charming and comfortable.
Unfortunately, the power was out when we stayed at Crescent Inn. The management fed all the guests a steak dinner, with french fries of mashed potato and salad, all on the house. The steak was very good and was well appreciated by all of the guests. Very nice gesture. Hope to return for a regular meal service .
We had no idea what to expect of this restaurant after making a reservation given we are from NYC/NJ metropolitan area and have the luxury of having access to many amazing food options nearby to home. We were impressed by the menu, the service, the food and the talented pianist! The ambiance reminded us all of our grandmothers house so we immediately felt at home. The menu has good options for sea and land lovers and is reasonably priced. The drinks and wine were great too. A real gem of a place I hear that has been doing awesome things for 60plus years! Keep going! We had a great dinner and a really nice time. Thank you- we will be back!
Our experience at Crescent Lodge was wonderful; the food was delicious, the decor was very cozy with low lighting for setting a prefect dinner mood. The live pianist was a nice touch as well. We'll definitely be back to try some of the other dinner plates out!
Great staff attention to detail was beautiful. The evening was perfect and well organized.
