Crêperie Chez Suzette Inc
Food was adequate...so many better meals in Montreal. The crepe was served lukewarm with the bechamel congealed and the cheese hardened...very little flavor. My daughter enjoyed her dessert crepes.
Server was rude and made the whole experience unpleasant.
Server was rude, but food was pretty good. Crepes are bland and fondue is super great!
The dessert crepes were better than the savory ones.
We waited 50mins for our food to come, we followed up with our server after 25mins and she said is coming, we followed up another 10mins after, she told us some mistake from the kitchen. Other tables seated down later than us have already ate, paid and left and we are still waiting. We were about to walk out. Server said she will ask the manager to do something for us because of the long wait but at the end there was nothing. If you are in Old Montreal, there are more restaurans choices and I will not recommend this restaurant with the price they are charging and low quality of service.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The cheese fondue was amazing and the crepes were great. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were very affordable, as they offered them near cost.
Crepes were large and tasty. Cute atmosphere, though a bit cramped. No restroom on first level, a real problem for people with mobility limitations. Server was competent but a bit distracted.
Fondue had a weird texture & wine taste was over bearing. Service was extremely slow. Took 15 min for the waiter to come greet us and bring us water. Drinks were mediocre.
Quaint, cute little place. two floors, we had a little table by the windows. Make a reservation during peak times and weekends. Food was hot and very tasty. Enjoy some local craft beer. The french onion soup was delicious. Would like to go back for the fondue.
The food and ambiance were good. We had the fondue for two and included cheese fondue, meat fondue and chocolate fondue. The portions were quite large, except for the chocolate, which we were scraping from the bowl (it was also just that good). The sauces for the meat fondue were ok; we've had better. The broth for the meat fondue was amazing! Bold and flavorful. All of the ingredients (veggies, meat, bread, fruit) were top quality. The service left a lot to be desired. We were rarely checked on between courses for refills of water etc. We eventually got up and refilled our own glasses from the server station. We waited around for about 15 minutes after finishing the meat before our server came to check on us and clear our plates for the next course. Overall it's good food at a great price ($79 CAD for two- three course fondue meals) but be prepared for inattentive service.
Service was slow
Great lobster bisque and seafood crepe! Limited but exceptional value wine list. We would definitely go again!
We had a great lunch here this week. The crepe menu is large with lots of sweet and savory choices. Both of our crepe lunches were very tasty. I enjoyed the whole lunch but would have preferred the top floor as there seems to be more room between tables. We were upstairs and seated at a smaller table that was quite tight. It was fine but I think I would have preferred a bit more space around me for the cost of the lunch. This is not an inexpensive place but the table atmosphere could have been a bit more upscale for the price. The food is amazing. I certainly would visit again when in the area. I also loved my cappuccino.
Very slow service. The sauces for the fondue where all mayo based except one - mayo with ketchup , mayo with dill etc. Amount of food was good but not real taste - the broth did not have any spices.
We enjoyed the savory crêpes, and even moreso the sweet ones. The crêpe suzette was delicious and we look forward to trying the fondues on our next visit.
Excellent food and service! Would definitely return!
Delicious food on all fronts! We had 4 guests, all ordering different items, and all were very tasty. Fresh ingredients, both seafood and chicken dishes had moist meat inside, bechamel sauces weren’t overly rich. Staff was very friendly. It was a full restaurant so service was a little slow but not painfully so by any means. Perhaps also just a more European attitude towards meals - meant to take your time, not rush from one course to the next!
Wonderful evening. The crepes were all so tender. Seafood, apple and brie and of course suzette. We'll be back!
Food was really great. Servers were very friendly and happy. Went 2 days in a row. So many options of savoury or sweet dessert crepes.
Many other options too. Would definitely go back on my next trip to old Montreal.
The resto could use a makeove. I found it somewhat outdated.
The Hostess was most gracious.
The waiter seemed impatient when
paying our bill (tapping his fingers) as though it was taking up his time.
Good crêpes well presented and courteous service
We are visiting Montreal & had a great experience. Atmosphere was great & food was exceptional. We all shared cheese & meat fondue. Also had a chicken crepe which was very tasty. Would recommend this restaurant & if we should come back to Montreal, will be at the top of our list to return
Great crepes of all types - the egg, bacon, mushroom, and cheese is outstanding. Also, they are featuring hot spiced cider drinks - YUM! Service is always a little tricky here, so be patient but the food is worth it and really good prices.
Nous avons bien aimé sauf que le staff parlait tres fort avec les gens de la cuisine
The room was extremely hot and the food was mediocre at best. I had heard great things but was very disappointed with the overall experience especially with the high price tag. The frozen lobster in my crepe was barely defrosted and my wife’s crepe with raw spinach that should have been wilted or sautéed. The service was ok, but there were no recommendations or explanations of the menu offered. I wouldn’t recommend and definitely won’t return.
Amazing waitstaff and great food !
Crepes were great!!
Outstanding service and food. Very nice experience for a family dinner.
TBH a bit disappointing -
bruschetta was rubbery - lobster bisque although very tasty had obviously been microwaved because of the hot and cold sections - stirring and it made the bisque luke warm. Because we were hungry and wanted to get to the fireworks we just went with what we had.
Main course didn’t really fair much better. Chicken supreme was less than supreme - chicken was not fresh - looked like something out of a packet - mushrooms seemed to come out of a can and the sauce was bland with not much flavor.
After 2 mediocre course we didn’t even want to try desert.
Shame as we had high expectations which came up very short. If you enjoy fresh food that doesn’t seem like its been processed then either set expectations low or try somewhere else.
The food and service were excellent! We were visiting from the US and we felt that we experienced a very authentic local food.
Crepe Suzette is a wonderful place for quick, tasty and convenient snack or meal. The service is fast and always friendly. Note that it is a bustling spot on St. Paul street in Old Montreal...so not a "quiet" spot...but is is truly fun! The food is spot on as well! Classic crepes for dessert or a meal...or both! It is a must go to place in Old Montreal!
Had such a sweet waiter, Martin. We had a lovely meal. I had the ratatouille crepe and added scrambled egg. My boyfriend had the western crepe. We shared a Nutella crepe with strawberry! Was delish! The place is actually very big and has two upstairs levels—the upper level is also where the bathroom is. They had soy milk for coffee as well! Always a plus!
We went back 3 times during our 4 day visit. The fruit was fresh, the bacon was delicious, the crepes were yum, the hot Chocolate was amazing. The food and service was very fast, we were in and out in 30 minutes to get on with our day. A lot of seating upstairs but definitely book as they filled up fast and it was off peak season over Christmas week. Many families with kids here they all looked happy.
We filled our need for crêpes in Montreal here. They have an excellent assortment of crêpes to choose from and while the crêpes were fairly ordinary, the French onion soup was a highlight. If you are looking for easy dining along the rue Saint-Paul then this will suffice.
Excellent pour la fondue. Qualité/prix excellent et le vin est abordable
Delicious crepes, friendly service, great location. With 3 separate dining spaces on 2 floors you still have the feel of a small and intimate venue.
I will go back and recommend it for a casual brunch.
Great food, homey n cozy.
You must go! Excellent fondue and the best French onion soup! We enjoyed it so much we dined there twice.
Always great crepes and escargot. Nothing fancy but a solid French meal. Crepes Suzette are heavenly!
We come here every time we visit Montreal We love Martins dry sense of humor.
Always a favorite
