Enjoyed the cocktails and the salads and the Etoufee entrees. All very good. Marcia, our waitperson, was great! Thanks. Owner came over to welcome us too!
Tasty food with good service.
The chicken, corn muffins, marmalade shrimp and Etouffee were all amazing. Excellent service and very pleasant staff who explained what we did not know about the New Orleans cuisine. Reasonable prices and great discounts at happy hour. Beignets were divine. Next time we try the Creola entree.
food very good
food arrived in timely manner
staff very attentive taking away used dishes, filling water, filling coffee
Very good restaurant. Food was excellent. Modern decor. Service was very good; wait staff is conscientious. Would definitely recommend.
I love this place!!! Staff were very helpful. We were seated right away. Service was amazing! The food was very delightful and tasty and the value is worth it . The interior is very modern and fresh looking! We will definitely come back again!
Once again - excellent! Creola is a gem. The Mardi Gras menu is a fantastic value.
We had the catfish entrée again. Best place to eat this dish which is so crispy and not greasy. The Shrimp Bourbon Street is my favorite appetizer; real jumbo shrimp fried to perfection. The Seafood Gumbo second course was excellent as part of the four-course $35 Mardi Gras menu which included a wonderful Pecan Pie for dessert. We had a beautiful table by the window with a white table cloth. Carlos is a great waiter. Aurelio, who buses tables and refilled my water as needed, keeps this place going. The only quibble is the noise, affected by the hard wall surfaces and concrete floor, but caused by loud, screaming diners who are inconsiderate of others who want to have a conversation at normal volumes. Overall, this is a spectacular place to enjoy New Orleans cuisine on the Peninsula. Highly recommended!
Outstanding spot for a quick authentic trip for a taste of NOLA! Their Jazzy Lunch was a great value. The shrimp etouffee was spot on. The service level was perfect. Came for a business lunch, I hope to return soon for another occasion.
This is still one of my very favorite restaurants ever!!!
I brought some friends in to celebrate a “milestone” birthday, and they’re still raving about it!
Everybody loved the salad with pecans, mandarin oranges and poppy seed dressing, and everyone loved the cornbread, and the bread pudding (they make the best bread pudding ever!). We all adored our entrees (for me, it was the exceptionally-tasty wasabi-encrusted portobello mushroom).
Couple the great food with great service, a lovely ambience, easy freeway access, and lots of parking, and you have a five-star winner!
It's always great. Always have the Sunday Chicken! So good. Service is friendly and attentive.
A delicious taste of New Orleans that won’t break the budget. Great service too!
One of our go-to places for excellent Cajun food. Love the Shrimp Creola and the Etouffee. They do an excellent job with the filet too. Love the Bernaise sauce, a real treat.
I ordered a martini and it came in a very small glass and even the glass was half full. I felt
the drink was a total rip-off. I ordered tacos off the appetizer menu. I wish the waiter would have told me they are very, very small. I would have ordered something more substantial.
The soup I ordered, same thing; came in a small cup and the cup was less than half full.
Needless to say, I was still hungry when I left.
Since I moved to San Carlos, I take my friends from South Bay to CreoLa every chance I get. They want to keep coming back, so I've taken them to both dinner and to brunch. We LOVE it!!
The food was tasty. The kids meals are expensive however. Also, we probably better stop making 8:45pm reservations, because lately, we haven't received the same service. Example--no vanilla scented lemonade available, two complimentary muffins for three people were brought out, and the waiter went away so fast after delivering our food, I had to ask another waiter (minutes later) for ketchup for the expensive kids meal.
Great food and good service. I would highly recommend Creola!
We have been dining at Creola since it started many years ago. The food has been consistently very good, with moderate prices, especially at lunch. I have often brought business friends to Creola and have eaten there with other friends. Some of the servers have been there for a long time also, and know who I am when I come in.
All of the food was exceptionally good and cooked perfectly. Service was on point. Would definitely go again.
Great service, great food, Mardi Gras 4 course menu is a great deal at $35 per person.
Just a terrific menu and wine list. The meal was perfect and my friends were so impressed with their meals. They cannot wait to return and dine again and again!
It was my birthday. We were seated on a corner banquette as soon as we arrived. Our drink order was taken immediately. We decided to have the Prix-Fixe Mardi Gras dinner ($35). Normally, we order an appetizer and a dessert to share, but the Mardi Gras Menu included Choice of Appetizer, plus soup or salad, choice of entree, and choice of dessert. Great value!
Service was attentive, but not intrusive. Portions were generous. I ended up with two desserts, one free with a candle for my birthday and one as part of the Mardi Gras dinner. I'm glad we didn't finish our entrees and so left room for dessert. (We each took home enough for lunch the next day.) CreoLa is one of my favorite restaurants.
We love this place! For years mostly the same staff (which says a lot!) and great food - don't forget the white chocolate bread pudding!
As usual, the food was outstanding and the service was very attentive. The featured cocktail menu was intriguing and the available beers from Louisiana were very good. Our party of four were all very pleased with our dining experience. We will definitely return for future lunches and dinners.
We've been to CreoLa before for their Mardi Gras 4 course meal, which is a great deal - appetizer, soup or salad, entree and dessert. Everything was delicious and somehow I didn't get overly stuffed, but it was a lot of food. The tuna tacos have great flavor and textures, enjoyed the bisque, my entree was a drum fish with crawfish and shrimp etouffee sauce and I had the bread pudding for dessert - all delicious. Service was good. Lighting a little dim, especially right at dusk. A bit noisy, but then I guess everyone was just having a good time and lots of conversation was happening. They've remodeled recently so the interior and signage is a bit updated since the last time I'd been there.
This used to be a favorite of mine and I hadn't been back since they remodeled. I liked what they did with the decor and was completely blown away by the food, it was even better then I remember!! Thank you for such an AWESOME experience, we will definitely be back!! And of course, because it fits..."Geaux Saints"!!!
The food was delicious as usual. I enjoy coming here with my family.
Wait staff was wonderful listening to our various needs, answering questions, being attentive!
Going after the lunch rush allowed us to leisurely eat and catch up with friends!
Terrific food! Great service. Creola is a real gem. Wonderful dinner...... we always love Creola and look forward to going back.
Wife, son, me - mostly my opinions follow. Jumbalaya appetizer was well prepared but not notable. Shrimp Bourbon street appetizer- far too much batter though the flavor of the shrimp was fresh. Still $11 for 3 prawns is expensive. Appetizer of beef empanadas came in two widely separated deliveries for unknown reasons. They were OK but could have used some beef that wasn't leather thin and had more flavor. Missed a good application chance for spices. Crawfish and Crab salad was deemed quite good by wife, but not up to New Orleans standards based on her experience. Wasabi Ahi was good though perhaps a bit overcooked for medium rare. Still a solid entre. Fried chicken a big disappointment. Crust nearly as thick as the earth's mantle. The actual meat inside was tender and had good flavor, but when the cover was peeled the actual portion of meat was very small. It was also a bit oily. the deserts were sub par. The combo pie (chocolate and something so not notable I can't remember it) were homogenized beyond recognition. Pecan/cheese cake pie - poor. Cheese cake layer tasted like sweet ricotta with same texture. One coctail, two glasses of wine and one coffee - $200 with 18% tip. Way better values elsewhere. If this is typical New Orleans food - I'm going to San Francisco. Sorry to those many folks who wrote glowing reviews. Been dining out over 40 years - this didn't cut it.
You will be transformed down to the "Big Easy" of New Orleans for absolutely fantastic Cajun food. Really authentic Creole seafood just like on the Bayou.
We usually have the Creole dishes, but this time I opted for the filet mignon ($10 supplement) as part of the four-course Mardi Gras menu, which is normally $35. I had a perfectly cooked medium-rare filet which is as good as any other steak house that I have dined in recently. My appetizer, Shrimp Bourbon Street, is my favorite; my second course, the Gumbo, was also as good as the last time and a favorite. The dessert fourth course was Combo Pie which was equally good as my usual Pecan Pie. Overall, just a stunningly good meal, well cooked, well presented, and served by a very attentive staff. My waiter, Carlos, was excellent. One of the best places to have authentic New Orleans cuisine. Bravo!
Every time we eat here we are never disappointed. This time I had the Jazzy Lunch (for $18) which included gumbo, salad and my main entree of red beans and rice (sooo creamy!). My sister had the chicken Po' Boy which she said was delicious (as evidenced by her eating the whole thing which she usually doesn't do). For dessert I had the beignets (which were nice and fluffy) and the cafe au lait (made with chicory coffee). The perfect ending to a superb meal! Can't wait to go back!
I was taken out for my birthday. I requested that we come to Creola because I enjoy everything about coming here. Brought three new patrons who all enjoyed their experience.
It's been a long time since my last visit, not disappointed then or now. Great lunch menu, good drinks. Place isn't very big if you are going for dinner made reservations.
My two girlfriends and I love coming to Creola and have for years. The food is always good, but our last meal here on March 20th seemed extra delish! We always enjoy the Mardi Gras special which we all had. I ordered the catfish and it was a crispy delight. The girls enjoyed the Shrimp Creola.
Shrimp CreoLa was tasty. Empanadas we’re delicious.
Amazing food and servers. I wish i could eat there every day.
Authentic New Orleans menu. Festive ambiance with great food and service.
