I was taken out for my birthday. I requested that we come to Creola because I enjoy everything about coming here. Brought three new patrons who all enjoyed their experience.
It's been a long time since my last visit, not disappointed then or now. Great lunch menu, good drinks. Place isn't very big if you are going for dinner made reservations.
Shrimp CreoLa was tasty. Empanadas we’re delicious.
Amazing food and servers. I wish i could eat there every day.
Authentic New Orleans menu. Festive ambiance with great food and service.
Excellent food and great servings. without being too American huge portions, it is just the perfect size and combination of all food groups: protein, good fat and veggies.
Love the food and love the service. Shrimp Etoufee or other entrees with their jazzy lunch is a filling meal---either take some home or skip dinner. Everything is really tasty (soup, salad, meals). I've been there twice in 6 weeks for a reason!
My husband and I went out for lunch at Creola. We had a wonderful time. The service was lovely and the food was great. I had red beans and rice which was perfect food for the rainy day. My husband had jambalaya which was yummy. We finished our meal with panna cotta with berries .
Every dish was served quickly and tasted great.
We will be coming back -- hopefully for dinner next time!
The food is great. Service was a bit slow, though. Fine for a date that's going well.
Excellent as always. We had the Mardi Gras menu. Food was tasty and well prepared. Attentive servers. Over all a great experience.
We had discovered CreoLA on a previous trip and loved the food. We look forward to going back whenever we can. The Madri Gras menu (prix fixe) is a great way to sample the fabulously delicious Louisiana cuisine. You will not go away hungry! “You gonna like. I guarantee!” (Tip of the hat to Justin Wilson, The Cajun Cook)
Sunday lunch- perfect venue! Great food and very accommodative staff. We’ll be back!
Creola is always a joy. The service is so wonderful and the food is always spot on.
Thanks so much for another wonderful meal!
Outstanding fried chicken, great date night felt like NOLA! Will be back for sure
Seafood gumbo and butter leaf salad along with the corn muffin was perfect for lunch!
CreoLa is a fun venue for very good New Orleans style food. The jambelaya is very good and I loved the chicken gumbo. The $35 meal that includes appetizer, entree and dessert is a great deal.
I cannot speak highly enough of this place! Love the food, the service and the ambiance of the entire place...you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu!
Delicious meal. Great service, friendly attentive staff. First time dining here with my family who loves sea food and they were very happy and impressed with the meal. Will highly recommend to all.
We were celebrating a birthday and had a wonderful experience. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food, drinks, and the service. I would not hesitate to recommend to family and friends.
I love their food and ambiance. Our meals were delicious. However, the service was off. The server brought my fiance the wrong drink, we had to ask for the complimentary cornbread muffins, and they were not warm as they usually are. The butter didn't even melt. We told the server that we were all set and that we were not going to have dessert and he brought out the dessert menus anyway, holding us up for our night. We frequent here at least once a week. We would just like the service and the food to always match.
First time dining here and I’ll def be back. Had boudin balls and jambalaya - both were excellent !!
A real sleeper or find. Gourmet dining in the 'burbs - who knew?
Creola has improved tremendously from when I first went there; the food was delicious, and the service was extremely good. I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends, in fact I already have.
Great food. Had the boudin balls as appetizer to share, than each 1lb off craw fish. Service not too great, venue somewhat run down with chipped table ware and so. Will be back because of food ...
Wonderful time with great food.
They use to have a wasabi crusted chicken on the menu but no longer have it. I asked them if they would make it and they gladly did! Our party of four enjoyed the meal.
I took a friend there for their birthday. The food is just not consistent. I regularly dine there on Sunday afternoons. This was a weekday evening. The gumbo, which I have enjoyed on Sundays, was horrible! The service was very slow. However, the Mardi-Gras menu was a good deal. It should be offered all the time, as portions are on the small side. The Sunday menu items or brunch items should be available for dinner.
Hadn't been back to Creola in a few years. It was as good as we remembered it, especially the seared Ahi. Don't know why we waited so long to go back. Will go again in the near future.
The ambiance and food are great. It's just that this particular time, it seemed I had more rice than sauce. I wish there was more rue instead of rice.
The food is good but we felt that the waiter was rushing us. The place was not crowded, so we could not understand why we were being rushed.
It had been a couple of years since my wife and I dined here (moved away from the Peninsula) but the food and service did not disappoint. We travel annually to NOLA and the food is quite authentic. We started with drinks (she had a glass of Riesling and I had an 'Ole Fashion' (popular NOLA whiskey drink - well made as if I was at Pat O'Brien's in the French Quarter).
For Appetizers, we had the Shrimp Hush Puppies, Bourbon Street Shrimp and Brouchette Oysters (deep fried, bacon-wrapped oysters) - great starters.
Dinner: I had the Shrimp and Crawfish Etouffe over jasmine rice (I would say this dish would rival the top restaurant destinations in NOLA). My wife ordered the Shrimp Creole - also very good (perfectly blackened Gulf Shrimp).
Dessert: I had a slice of Pecan Pie (made with a cheese cake layer) and my wife had the Bread Pudding (made with an awesome Frangelico/White Chocolate Sauce) - both yum, and Café au Lait for both (made with Coffee w/Chickory).
Everything we ordered was delicious and plated just as good. My wife and I were really glad we made our way back for a sit-down dinner here. The food is authentic in taste as we travel to NOLA often. This place is a gem and believe will not disappoint. Very glad to see CreoLa is still there (I noticed they also expanded the space a bit with additional dining space and bar area).
Second time we did a reservation and both times we had a table directly at the door. Means it is cold, people are standing next to you, waiting for their table. Not a cozy environment for a dinner you made your reservation nearly two weeks ahead.
Our server didn’t tell us anything about the specials for the evening. So we ended up ordering regular menu. The server for the other side of the hallway told his guests about duck confit and some other stuff which was really disappointing cause I love duck.
After our main course we were kinda forgotten. Took nearly 20min before we saw a dessert menu.
All over their food is good. Their light mousse au chocolate is not so light. But their fish and chicken entrees are delicious.
We will not make any reservations anymore so I can leave without hassle if I don’t like the table.
It was Valentine's Day, so maybe not a great first impression, but our server wasn't around too much to ask how our meal was or to ask if we were ready to order the next course. There were several servers working our table, so I think things fell through the cracks since it wasn't just one person checking in. The entrees were delicious! The bread pudding was small and just okay. We'll be back for the entrees!
Great food great service.
Hi quality and very consistent
It was Fat Tuesday! Great Music, Great Food and excellent service helped our party of 4 have a fantastic time. Can’t say enough about Creola’s cool vibe. It’s a happening place that brings the taste and feel of New Orleans to San Carlos.
The service was disappointing. The food took a very long time to make. It seemed like the parties next to us got their food faster than we did and they came after us. That ruined the expiernece.
Excellent brunch. Great food and service. The only disappointment was they didn't have the pain perdu on the day we visited.
I love going to Creole I because the food tastes great and they always seat us in a reasonable amount of time.
We went in for the Mardi Gras menu a few weeks ago. Creola is always tasty, but things felt very generic this time. The service seemed impersonal and rushed, and the bread pudding that came with meal was TINY.
My family was celebrating a birthday. We were seated in the large area with comfortable benches on 3 sides. It was as if we were in a home. Our server was attentive, pleasant and detail oriented. The other staff were equally hospitable. We would definitely return.
