Re-discovered Creed's after years of not going, we're glad we did.
Very good food and value and the service was excellent, they have a nice steak and it's reasonable. Unlike a few other steak places in the area.
Places like this are needed and we will be back.
Friday night /slow service.
Asked for bread several times before it was served.
Meal was not served as requested, sent first order back.
Seating was in top of each other.
Food seemed prepared in advance, overall disappointed and will not return.
Spent $150, could have gone many other places close by.
We were looking forward to this restaurant. Once we got there we were seated in 2 minutes. Service was excellent. We ordered the 2 lobster tails and filet and shrimp. The filet was excellent however the shrimp was a little tough, cooked too long. The first lobster was good a little over cooked. The second lobster was like rubber. The outside edge was inedible. As we were talking I was asked would I come back and I said no, she agreed. Not worth the money.
I have been going to Creed's for years and I took my parents and husband on Saturday. Everyone is so friendly. The wait staff are fantastic and the bartenders on Saturday night are wonderful. Maureen. Joseph and Jessica go above and beyond to make your dining experience the BEST ever. LOVE THIS PLACE.
First I would like to say that when booking the reservation the OpenTable app showed no reservations before 7:45pm. We arrived at restaurant 30 minutes early to have a drink at bar. The place was empty...I could only see two tables in the entire restaurant occupied (not a good sign at 8pm on a Friday evening). So its very strange that we couldn't get an earlier reservation??
Regarding the food...everything we ordered was sub-par for a restaurant with a Zagat rating and $$$$ price point. Apps were brie bites and calamari...brie bites were below average...reminded me of something frozen from a grocery store and the calamari was heavily breaded. I've had much better from less expensive restaurants....somewhat disappointing overall. Next the main courses...my wife and I both ordered fish...that evening's special (grouper) for my wife and I chose the Australian barramundi off the menu. Keep in mind this place was "highly rated" for its seafood. My wife's grouper was extremely salty and inedible (this was taken off the check). My Australian Barramudi was bland and not what I expected for $32. Both were served over boring rice with haricot verts...meh. Not much effort put forth in the presentation either. The ambiance was not what we expected.....an older generation of folks including the staff. We were the youngest people by 20 years and I'm 38 yrs old. Nothing wrong with this but, again, not what I expected.
We're not picky eaters by any means but we appreciate quality food and expected so much more from Creed's based on the reviews. Overall, very disappointing and not recommended. There are numerous places in KOP that would be recommended before this place. Last but not least, I have to commend the service as the bartenders and wait staff were very professional and knowledgeable. The bartender made my wife an excellent Grey Goose cosmopolitan.
Visited Creed's with our goddaughter to celebrate her entering her junior year of college at Georgetown, and some honors she had received. The waiter was efficient, friendly, and quite amusing, and certainly set the comfort level for our meal. Our starter was the lobster bisque, which was quite good. I had the filet mignon with scallops, brandy peppercorn sauce, garlic mashed, and haricot vert. My wife and my goddaughter both had the surf and turf, one with lobster and one with shrimp. Both the seafood and the steak were cooked to perfection and the au gratin potatoes served with the surf and turf were positively addictive. For dessert, we had the Bordeaux chocolate mousse and the creme brulee. Both were light and delightful.The wine list, while not extensive, is reasonably priced, and the list of aperitifs and liqueurs is as well. While Creed's sits in an unfortunate location, bounded by Rt. 422 on one side, and N. Gulph road on the other, which makes dining outside somewhat noisy and not recommended, the ambience in the restaurant is classy and restrained, and provides a nice escape from the cares of the day. I can highly recommend Creed's for special occasions, anniversaries and business dinners.
My husband and I were on a rare double-date before taking in a comedy show down the street. We had reservations, but they were not needed, as it was not busy at all that Friday night.
We sat at the bar waiting for our friends to arrive. Service was great, but the couple next to us was rather snooty, however they did not seem to reflect the attitude of the others seated around us.
We get to our table in the corner of a small room off the bar. Sam was our waiter and he was fabulous - very personable! We started off with oysters and Ahi tuna, we enjoyed both very much.
Most of us ordered steaks, which were all done to perfection. The sides of green beans and garlic mashed potatoes were delicious, as well.
I would say the prices were what you would expect at a nice restaurant in K of P. I would highly recommend to others and will hopefully be back myself!
