Crave is located in a beautiful space with great views of downtown Rochester. The menu had many unique items and we ordered a variety of appetizers and main dishes. Sadly, the food we ordered was not hot when it was served to us. We have had this same issue during previous visits.

Our service was excellent. The vegetables were poor. The Brussel Sprouts were extremely hard. I was unable to eat them. Likewise, my wife's asparagus was so tough she could not cut them. The were also inedible. My filet was well prepared and the Benaise Sauce was spot on. My wife enjoyed the chicken, also. As an aside, this was our 53rd Wedding Anniversary meal. While I asked for a red rose to be on our table, I really didn't mind that you did not do it. But not even a scope of ice cream?

Food was very disappointing. We’ve been to Crave many times before and I’ve loved every meal I’ve had, but this time no one was impressed with their entree in our party of 5. The apps were incredible (firecracker shrimp and brussel sprouts) but everything else was underwhelming.

Overall great experience. Thumbs down on the awkward floating tile flooring used in the atrium area. It is safe enough for all patrons but it tilts a bit when walking around and as people walk past it wiggles chairs and table.

The menu had a lot of promise. I went with a bowl of miso soup to start. I found it to be over salted. For the main course, I had the steak frites. It was three quarters of a plate of frites to a quarter meat with some rather large asparagus stalks on top. The steak had a béarnaise sauce that was lacking of flavour. I think the meat would have been better without the sauce.

Firecracker shrimp appetizer is always a winner with us. Followed by steak frites…a very generous serving of fries. Service was excellent! Nicole did a super job of both leaving us to our lunch but also there to meet any needs.

We were at Crave for the Mother’s Day brunch after enjoying the pre/fix menu at Easter. The food was fine but not as fresh or interesting. Food in chafing dishes was dry and not hot. We hope Crave will return to the pre-fix menu for these special days. It sets them apart.

Was a little disappointed with the mothers day brunch. I thought there would be more of our favorites like: sushi rolls, firecracker shrimp, truffle fries, etc.I think that there should have been plates at the buffet line rather than having to ask waitress for plates. Prime rib was very delicious and mashed potatoes were good. I wasn’t impressed with the chicken and waffles and my daughter didn’t care for peach baked French toast. We love crave and will definitely be back just not on MD.
