Had my favorite dish again, the lobster curry with crunchy rice and a side of roasted asparagus with pistachios. Heaven! Service was perfection too, but noise level a little high for us. We chose to sit inside in the front where it wasn’t too crowded and ventilation was excellent but got noise from bar and reception. Still, a wonderful dining experience to celebrate my birthday.

Crave upper west side is a special neighborhood restaurant. The professional, friendly and helpful staff are stellar. It is always a pleasant experience as the staff all seem happy and want to be helpful and attentive. The happy hour is a great value and all the offerings are delicious. Even when not happy hour menu, the food is outstanding. They are careful about how they source their fish and it tastes that way. All so flavorful. The simple raw bar items - oysters, shrimp, clams - are so fresh and served in aesthetically pleasing manner. The crab cocktail is great. The cooked fish wonderful as are side dishes. I have been dining at Crave UWS since they opened and will continue to return regularly. Hope this is helpful!

Drink deal for brunch was good but the food was terrible. Fried fish sandwich tasted like gasoline, paid extra for soggy fries. Also so many flies and mosquitos inside. Server was very nice though. All in all could get the same brunch drink deal at a place with better food.

Date and I both loved the seared tuna. Staff was warm, gracious, and professional. Fun atmosphere. Only minor drawback was it was a little loud. Good place for a date or a family outing.

My husband had the lobster roll and it was inedible, filled with badly seasoned avocado and, hard to find any lobster for $38!! REALLY??? I had the fish sandwich which was less than mediocre. If you want a real lobster roll, go next door to Lobster Luke’s!!!

Food was very good and staff were fantastic. Unfortunately, our octopus was very overcooked, leaving it inedible - upon sending it back, the waiter noted it was not the first one sent back and that they had a new chef working that night. They gladly replaced the dish and did so quite quickly. Everything else was good, although I prefer the lobster rolls at Luke's and Mermaid just a little further up Amsterdam...

The raw clams were outstanding. Overall, menu a bit limited as in, lots of oddball specialty items but not much just plain fish. The noise level was literally unbearable due to NY Sat night (though there early, 6pm) and the usual lack of any noise reduction in the decor… but it was so loud as to be impossible to really speak and almost physically painful. Quite hard to get attention of servers. They were all very nice when they came, but understandably rushed. We opted to leave before dessert (though we had already arranged a birthday dessert with them) due to horrific noise and wait for service. Despite the food being very good, would not bother repeating the experience for reasons mentioned.

Two primary issues: 1. The food was only so-so. Each dish seemed to be "trying a bit too hard" and had competing flavors. We did like the warm crab sushi roll, however. 2. They took a 945 booking, but then closed up on us at 10pm, leaving us to huff down our food in 20 minutes. Not a pleasant experience.
