I love CFB it's always delicious and enjoyable. Service is terrific. I was there on Sunday for dinner with some friends who also love the restaurant, for the oysters of course but also for the cauliflower soup. The soup it's a staple of CFB and we were very disappointed when it didn't see it in the menu and the waiter told us that is was removed, replaced by another one. We tasted the new one, I think it was zucchini or butternut. It was ok, nothing memorable, it would never compare with the cauliflower soup. Please bring back! Thanks.
Came for a Sunday dinner (didn't realize their awesome $40 Sunday dinner deal with $35 bottles of wine) with a group of 5. We even added a friend and they brought a 6th chair with no fuss. The service and food were great. I was so pleasantly surprised and will definitely come back again!
Service started well, ended poorly. Really impacted our overall experience when waitress acted like she wanted to get rid of us.
Best oysters fresh and sweet.
Best grilled bronzino
This really was a delight from the first cocktail and appetizer to the dessert! Crave far surpassed our expectations from start to finish! This will be a regular visit on our annual trip to NYC.
The food was OK...Calamari..was undercooked...Fish I ordered was cooked as per my instructions...(though bland)..However when I declined the vegetable that was served standard with that menu item..no attempt to offer a substitute was made...Desserts were very good...(Best tasting decaffeinated coffee I ever had...)..
What made this a great experience was the staff...from the young lady ..(Melissa?)..who allowed us to switch from a table to a booth..who remembered our anniversary To Taylor..(?).. our server who bent over backward...
This was a great example of staff making up for the food shortcomings
Arrived at 6 and was told about both the regular and the happy hour menu. Lovely to have both to choose from with a friend.
Food was great!
This is a really wonderful place to grab brunch, the interior is so pretty, everyone has enough space between tables and it's not too loud. Food is yummy and fresh, came very quickly, drinks took a while but I think they were a little understaffed - servers were very friendly and apologetic.
great food, and amazing service
our favorite new place to go
The food is consistently delicious that is why we keep returning again and again.
The food here is RIDICULOUSLY GOOD. I particularly love the miso-glazed Barramundi. And I love that they have so gluten-free options app, entrée, and dessert options--especially the chocolate peanut butter cake with honey ice cream. At many places, if you're GF, you get offered gelato. But there are MANY options here. :)
Additionally, it feels good to support a B-Corp, which is a designation that is very hard to earn and means the restaurant is doing business in a sustainable, eco, environmentally friendly, socially conscious way. From how they fish to how they source to how they treat their staff to the fact that their straws are made from corn...thoughtful and careful and kind.
I'm at a point where I feel like every dollar I spend is a vote I cast for the kind of world I want to see and it feels good to support such a good business, in addition to enjoying such a DELICIOUS menu.
The waitress was awesome, I really wanted an entree with fried oysters, she made it happen!!!
The oysters are delicious! The service was also excellent.
Excelente food and ambience We’ll ve va k echen un new York
Love the happy hour!
The food was exceptional and we got truly personal service from Emily, our server, and from Kerry, the manager. Both were very attentive and accommodating. Highly recommended!
The food, which if I'm not mistaken is what we really go to a restaurant for, was very good but the noise level was terribly intrusive even for a Friday night.
I know you can't really do anything much about one table but there was a large party that was unapologetic about their insane amount of revelry. After being asked several times to tone it down they, apparently, were not in caring mood about the feelings or the enjoyment of any of the other tables in the room.
So having got that off my chest it was otherwise a reasonable evening out but it could've been so much better.
Great server- cheerful and helpful. Salmon tostadas- delicious and fresh; sea bass crudo- mushy, gluey and heavily flavored with sundried tomato paste-simply terrible, especially for a seafood restaurant; tuna tartare-gluey fish, pasted to bowl- tasted only of seasonings; kale salad- fantastic; Brussels sprouts- dry, overcooked, flavorless; squid ink spaghetti- unbelievably delicious. Summary- if you order carefully, will eat very well. Bad items are truly awful.
We had a wonderful time and could actually hear each other. Our server was fun and attentive. The food was fantastic and we like the new menu options recently added.
Food was great. Service was both professional and friendly. Really enjoyed the evening. Will definitely be coming back!
Great place, food always good. Deal on oysters and drinks can’t be beat!
Great food. Great Service. Great Oysters! We've been going there for years.
Sat at the bar - bartender was AMAZING- great food an drink recommendations and he got our food out to us quickly - dishes are creative and delicious ! I cannot wait to go back- was a delicious pre movie meal
Plus he’s handsome - definitely sit at the bar
We were there for the oyster happy hour. Great selection on the oysters and the wine! Lovely service, and the salmon tostados were out of this world. I also appreciate the gluten free calamari.
Happy Hour "Oystergram" is a terrific experience. Unlike other oyster-deal-destinations, Crave offers you their entire roster of 15-20 West and East Coast oysters to mix and match. The Happy Hour cocktails are creative and delicious, our favorite being the Bloody Mary with a jumbo shrimp resting on top. French fries are to die for and go perfectly with a few dozen oysters. The service can get a bit slow, but that's because the oysters are shucked fresh, one by one, and the noise level is typical of pretty much any New York City restaurant designed by and for millennials. Make reservations for Happy Hour a week in advance because the slots fill up.
Terrific tasting food and excellent service. Will return soon!
Our host and server was simply magnificent. One of the best in many a years.
Food was great and the service was friendly. I will definitely return to try other dishes.
Our waiter was a zombie & disappeared halfway through our meal. No one asked if we wanted more drinks.
Shared a couple of appetizers plus. For me, the food was okay but overpriced. My main complaint concerns our waiter who was barely helpful, offered little guidance when asked, and was particularly dour. Surprising how much that affected my dining experience.
Food was amazing. We had someone who is gluten free and there were many many options for her. She also said it was the best calamari she ever had. What a great time with delicious food!
Overall, it was good. As a birthday dinner, we sprung for a fairly expensive meal. The food was inventive and delicious. The pricing was too high for the service and food. If time and money are no issue, try it.
One of our favorite places on the UWS. Never disappointed with Crave Fishbar
The food was excellent! The oysters and fish were really fresh and delicious.
We went to Crave to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was our first visit and if was great! We had oysters, tuna, lobster in curry and the food was excellent. Service was fantastic. My only minor complaint was that Open Table asks for the reason for visiting when you make the reservation. I put down that it was for a birthday but there was no acknowledgement from the restaurant about it. But, this is certainly a place we will visit again!!
Great oyster happy hour, one dollar oysters. Very nice pasta and salmon toast.
The Happy Hour oysters are the best in NYC! Their small plates are perfect to go with HH drinks. Dinner here uses the freshest fish & the options are great!
We dine here somewhat regularly - either alone or with out of town guests. The service is always excellent and we've never been disappointed with our meal. The Oyster happy hour is an exceptional value. A neighborhood favorite and a place we're sure to visit numerous times in the year ahead.
I never leave a bad review! This isn’t a bad review per say but there were some issues with the kitchen. My crab claws came out and were either not completely thawed out or had freezer burn, couldn’t eat them. Service and management was great, took it off the bill and also comp’d us dessert. I had asked for everything to be packed up and for one of the dishes to leave off the smoked salmon garnish... and the next day when I went to eat it, they packed the garnish, and left out the actual dish. Bizarre. Just an off night I guess. Really cute place, half of our food was really good and the other half just okay besides the crab claws that we couldn’t eat obviously. Reasonably priced also.
