Great place, food always good. Deal on oysters and drinks can’t be beat!
Sat at the bar - bartender was AMAZING- great food an drink recommendations and he got our food out to us quickly - dishes are creative and delicious ! I cannot wait to go back- was a delicious pre movie meal
Plus he’s handsome - definitely sit at the bar
We were there for the oyster happy hour. Great selection on the oysters and the wine! Lovely service, and the salmon tostados were out of this world. I also appreciate the gluten free calamari.
Happy Hour "Oystergram" is a terrific experience. Unlike other oyster-deal-destinations, Crave offers you their entire roster of 15-20 West and East Coast oysters to mix and match. The Happy Hour cocktails are creative and delicious, our favorite being the Bloody Mary with a jumbo shrimp resting on top. French fries are to die for and go perfectly with a few dozen oysters. The service can get a bit slow, but that's because the oysters are shucked fresh, one by one, and the noise level is typical of pretty much any New York City restaurant designed by and for millennials. Make reservations for Happy Hour a week in advance because the slots fill up.
Terrific tasting food and excellent service. Will return soon!
Our host and server was simply magnificent. One of the best in many a years.
Food was great and the service was friendly. I will definitely return to try other dishes.
Our waiter was a zombie & disappeared halfway through our meal. No one asked if we wanted more drinks.
Shared a couple of appetizers plus. For me, the food was okay but overpriced. My main complaint concerns our waiter who was barely helpful, offered little guidance when asked, and was particularly dour. Surprising how much that affected my dining experience.
Food was amazing. We had someone who is gluten free and there were many many options for her. She also said it was the best calamari she ever had. What a great time with delicious food!
Overall, it was good. As a birthday dinner, we sprung for a fairly expensive meal. The food was inventive and delicious. The pricing was too high for the service and food. If time and money are no issue, try it.
One of our favorite places on the UWS. Never disappointed with Crave Fishbar
The food was excellent! The oysters and fish were really fresh and delicious.
We went to Crave to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was our first visit and if was great! We had oysters, tuna, lobster in curry and the food was excellent. Service was fantastic. My only minor complaint was that Open Table asks for the reason for visiting when you make the reservation. I put down that it was for a birthday but there was no acknowledgement from the restaurant about it. But, this is certainly a place we will visit again!!
Great oyster happy hour, one dollar oysters. Very nice pasta and salmon toast.
The Happy Hour oysters are the best in NYC! Their small plates are perfect to go with HH drinks. Dinner here uses the freshest fish & the options are great!
We dine here somewhat regularly - either alone or with out of town guests. The service is always excellent and we've never been disappointed with our meal. The Oyster happy hour is an exceptional value. A neighborhood favorite and a place we're sure to visit numerous times in the year ahead.
I never leave a bad review! This isn’t a bad review per say but there were some issues with the kitchen. My crab claws came out and were either not completely thawed out or had freezer burn, couldn’t eat them. Service and management was great, took it off the bill and also comp’d us dessert. I had asked for everything to be packed up and for one of the dishes to leave off the smoked salmon garnish... and the next day when I went to eat it, they packed the garnish, and left out the actual dish. Bizarre. Just an off night I guess. Really cute place, half of our food was really good and the other half just okay besides the crab claws that we couldn’t eat obviously. Reasonably priced also.
My third time dining there. All 4 of us enjoyed our meal, service and ambiance. Will definitely return.
Excellent dinner with family. Broad variety for all.
Great food, ambiance and service
The food was very good. I recommed the lobster cocktail. The service was very good and not intrusive.
Terrific happy hour as well as the dinner menu. The usual excellent service too.
Always a great spot food and service top notch.
Best oysters in the city! the mussels were a little disappointing but overall wonderful!
Out to dinner with old friends. Food is delicious, as are mixed drinks, and service is informal (actors waiting for a role?) but efficient and friendly. I rated the noise level as energetic, but we were able to converse comfortably although three of our party qualified as seniors. I went there once for brunch during the summer and it was serene and fairly quiet. I'm a regular at the east side Crave which has a slightly different menu, but is more crowded-feeling. All in all, Crave is a real treat for a not crazy price.
Love this place. Fabulous food. Great service.
nice for a brunch. excellent bloody mary and fries.
First time going to Crave and it was amazing - I celebrated my engagement here with my fiance and the staff was so welcoming, kind, and accommodating. The food was also delicious! Highly recommend this spot and I will definitely be coming back
Great friendly efficient service. Delicious food. Love this place!
Always great service, food and ambiance. Great deals for Happy hour.
This place was great!! Fab food! The fish was so fresh and the chef delivered! New twist on classic dishes. Loved the dusted rice calamari. The Barmundi was primo!
Consistently good food and service. Great oyster happy hour. And maybe best of all, at the tables in the back you can actually hear yourself talk.
Crave has absolutely the best oyster happen in the city! The oysters are amazing and the staff and ambience here are wonderful. Definitely among my very favorite places
My husband was witty and charming as always. 😉
We had friends in from Spain and chose this restaurant to celebrate one of their birthdays.
The table for the four of us was perfectly situated upstairs in the dining room. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The food was outstanding. Oysters were a perfect start to our meal and the entrees as well as the desserts didn’t disappoint..
Wonderful fresh fish and unique vegetable accompaniments. Friendly, efficient service. Highly recommend!!
We went for the 5-7 Happy Hour where we had a bottle of a nice Pinot Noir (yes, a red wine!) and outstanding selection of oysters. In fact, we had three dozen outstanding oysters. They have a lengthy list of choices of mostly East Coast oysters (our preference) at "Happy Hour" Blue Point oyster prices. The upstairs section (UWS) with chair and table seating usually has a less vigorous noise level than the downstairs area where the seating is bar stool height. On this particular evening the upstairs was closed for a private party and as time went on the noise level got louder and louder and so we left. A couple seated next to us ordered dinner and said the lobster curry was excellent. We were there, however, for the oysters and were in bliss.
We really enjoyed Crave. The James, our server was helpful and nice and fun to talk to. The noise level was perfect -- one of us has trouble hearing and he hates noisy rooms. The food was delicious and service was quick without being too quick. We'll be back.
Outstanding service on a busy night. Excellent food. Great atmosphere. We will be back!
