Our evening was super! From apps and drinks off the happy hour menu to transferring the tab to our table for an amazing dinner- crave is so comfortable and fun! The food was outstanding!
went on a Saturday for evening dinner and were shocked and thrilled to see that there was a weekend happy hour menu! Everything we ordered- from the oysters, to the pasta, and the drinks- was delicious!
Great spot!
Great Happy Hour Oyster Deal. Service is excellent and the Big Ben is a delicious drink!
Awesome joint for raw oysters! They have over 15 different types of East and West coast oysters to choose from. All fresh and juicy, depends on what you like, salty and meaty, sweet and creamy, the server are informative and can’t help you to pick. Don't miss their happy hour every day from 5-7! Food is also decent and the place is always busy.
I have been here a few times with different group of friends, and if you like raw oysters and seafood, this is definitely a place to go.
Besides the oysters, I also enjoyed their main dishes. The lobster curry is delicious (order rice to go with it), squid ink spaghetti is pretty good and my person favorite is the tasty homemade cavatelli (love the texture)!
This is definitely my go to joint for raw oysters from now on!
Frat Sunday special for both food and wine
Visiting and friends recommended it. Very good food and service. Ambience great
Really enjoyed the freshness of the oysters and clams and the other dishes! Wait staff was great with recommendations and pickle back oyster shot with bourbon was a must have!
We loved our experience at Crave Fishbar.
Oysters amazing & fresh
Fish entrees so good
Squid ink pasta yum!
The fried chicken leg and squid ink spaghetti were delicious and, in my opinion, the stars of the menu. The grilled octopus fell short of my expectations but was still good. Good wine list, nice ambiance. Great for groups. Wait staff is a bit inattentive but at least, still polite. Overall, I do recommend this restaurant.
I was very pleased with the food, service and ambiance at Crave Fishbar! The happy hour is amazing! Definitely worth it and I can't wait to return.
Excellent food and very good service. Was a bit disappointed that they crammed three of us into a two-top, especially at 8:45 pm when their business is getting ready to die down.
This is one of my favorite restaurants because of the quality and deliciousness of the food!
As a fish lover, it is always a pleasure to dine here. Best Baramundi around outside of Australia. Oysters are always excellent and service outstanding I go hear to eat every time I am in the City. Both locations are excellent!
Great place for seafood near Grand Central. Food was great. Staff were helpful and offered very good food and wine recommendations. Would definitely come back when in NYC again if staying nearby.
A little pricy, great food, and some dishes a little too spicy. The decor is comfortable and all the hard surfaces cause noise. I definitely will be back for the oysters, they were the freshest I've had in some time, also so many unique types.
My girl friend and I had a wonderful dinner. Happy hour oysters are fantastic!
Everything I eat at Crave is super top notch. The food is a special treat, but in a neighborhood, relaxed vibe. I LOVE it!
This is the second time I've eaten in Crave Fishbar on Second Avenue. I am a seafood (especially shellfish) lover, and nothing makes me happier than to have a dozen oysters at a time, for $1-$1.50 each!
When I got to Crave, I was quite cold and wanted something hot to warm my bones. I am not particularly a soup lover, and the only soup they offered was cream of cauliflower with fried oysters. It didn't sound particularly appetizing to me, as I don't care for creamed soup, and cauliflower is not one of my favorite vegetables. But I ordered it anyway. It was DEEElicious! It wasn't heavily creamy, the cauliflower was roasted, and the fried oysters delicious.
Although our bill came to $94 (tax & tip included) for 2 of us, it included a $35 bottle of delicious white wine. I would recommend Crave anytime, for any occasion. They even have an upstairs for private parties.
The ambiance here is definitely worth checking out if you are looking for a restaurant with good food and a fun casual atmosphere.
Great date night spot!
Miss the wheatberry side dish with salmon....everything was great though
The food is spicy!
My children were not able to eat their meals, even though, for children, they truly enjoy spicy food. The fish soup I ordered was very very good, but again, spice level was insane.
I just wish they would have given me a heads up about the spice level.
May I suggest adding a spice meter to your menu, since it seems to be a recurring theme.
Awesome place for oysters and creative appetizers and main dishes. The happy hour is a great deal as well.
Food and service was ok.
Four of us visited Crave Fish Bar based on others' reviews. The five star reviews were right on target. We had oysters (a GREAT value at happy hour!!!) and mussels for appetizers, both were fresh and tasty. Entrees included scallops (perfectly prepared), whole branzino (de-boned and delicious), and the chicken leg (actually more than a leg and very tender). Nancy, our waiter, did an outstanding job and made us feel like valued guests. An overall wonderful dining experience.
Oysters, Salmon tostadas were excellent. Had an old fashion which was also above par.
Best oyster happy hour in midtown
We always enjoy eating at Crave Fishbar. The food and cocktails are delicious and fairly priced for NY.
Best restaurant in the neighborhood Next is Tacovision
Food was good, super loud restaurant with a cool laid back feel. Barramundi tasted like bacon. Sauce overpowered the light fish. For a fish place they had very few fish options on the entree menu. Lots of raw bar choices
Wonderful happy hour with great selection of Oysters- Great Value! Entries are creative and fresh!
I’ve been to both crave locations multiple times since they opened and oyster happy hour used to be $1 each with the best selection in NYC. On my most recent visit noticed they now charge $1.5 for select ones. Also, small and minute detail but, they now also only garnish the oysters with just lemon- no longer include grapefruit or oranges. This won’t stop me from frequenting the restaurant for happy hour unless prices raise again or match the Grand Central Oyster happy hour.
A pleasant experience as they gave us a booth on the ground floor. Food and Service were very good but noise level can be a bit of an annoyance.
Excellent food, service and ambience. A little pricey, but this is NYC!
This was my first experience dining at Crave Fishbar, although I had heard many great things. Dinner was delicious, and the staff, the ambience... wonderful. Yes, I can say despite the noise and busy-ness, it was wonderful. Could easily see going there for dinner at least once a week! Thanks so much everyone at Crave Fishbar!👏
I’d been to Crave Bar west but this was an order of magnitude better. We had the seared tuna and were blown away by how beautifully it was presented, cooked and seasoned. Happy hour oysters offered a large selection. Definitely returning.
Charlie was great, and Cristie was wondering. I was happy to now discovered this fantastic restaurant in my neighborhood. I plan to be a frequent visitor.
Sorry I forgot the shackle wine 🙈
Grilled octopus 👍
Calamari 👍
The brass (but it's called something else). I also have the skin. 👌
I can't remember what my fiance got, but it was good as well. 👍
Dessert: can't remember, and was also good. 🙈
Crave is probably my most frequently recommended restaurant to people in our neighborhood. The happy hour specials are fantastic, ambiance is great, and service cannot be beat. Consider this a must go!
This place was hyped up a lot, but fell short. Was an average seafood restaurant.
