Always top notch food
Thursday night dinner with friends. Great food in general with a great service, which is hard to find these days. We particularly enjoyed the Eido da Fonte Albarino with our food. We had 2 bottles of this wine that goes down so easily.
Service was very poor. Waitress didn’t bring items ordered, Diet Coke no refills apparently on the Diet Coke (charged twice). Just a struggle to get any service at all.
Ordered the Sea Bass on the recommendation from the young lady who greeted us and poured our water. While we have dined any number of times at crave, never tried the Sea Bass before, what a wonderful experience and suggestion!!!
The fusilli with Jonah crab is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had! Overall great experience including wonderful service from an Argentinian born actor/waiter. Good wine list - full bar.
Limited non- oyster menu is more than compensated by incredible execution.
Was thrilled to be back at Crave. We went for the happy hour, which is our favorite. The staff was attentive and friendly. The oysters, as always, were delicious. I also had the best cappuccino I have had in a while. Definitely recommend.
It was nothing special. This is on a expensive side. Had fish tacos and it was super dry! The Dinasaur salad was good but they charge me extra $10 for three pieces of shrimp, total rip off! Ordered lobster red curry and it was too sweet! I had better Thai red curry before, and we added rice on side which was $8. The bowl so tiny!!!!!! Omg in regular places that would be a big bowl! This is total rip off!
One of the best seafood joints in NYC. Gotta check it out
Service was great, food was delicious.
I would have preferred if the restaurant had built a platform on the street, we dined outside and the street has a curve into the sidewalk so the table was slanted and our drinks kept sliding.
Otherwise everything was great!
Always fresh, well prepared food. Lots of seafood options.
Great food and ambiance, fantastic service
Great brunch and the quality of the fish is amazing! Great drinks too!
I love crave. Been going for years now. The food is great. We always get the calamari dish. It is the best!! They didn’t have the grilled octopus on the menu yesterday and the menu I had changed a little. Still, The homemade pasta with Jonah crabs had the perfect balance of sauce and crab meat. The salmon dish was cooked perfectly. Definitely will be back in a few weeks.
Lobster roll bread was stale.
Martini was warm by the time it got to me.
This place is hidden gems in my neighborhood. Fresh ingredients and nice cocktails.
Great food and service, but pretty loud.
Outstanding! Excellent Food, Ambience, Service! Everything we ordered were seasoned properly. We arrived for brunch and stayed till happy hour! In total we had 3 dozen oysters, barramundi, squid ink pasta, fish tacos, mimosas, Bloody Mary, and bourbon oyster shooters! Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and well-presented. Our servers were polite, knowledgeable, ever-present but unobtrusive.
The restaurant's support for sustainable seafood makes it stand above all other seafood restaurants in the city.
They even made good on the special request to have our birthday girl be presented with a birthday candle on warm chocolate cookie with vanilla ice cream! Thank you Carlos!
No doubt about it - THIS is our definite go-to restaurant for brunch, dinner and/or happy hour every time we come to New York City.
Food was good but service was very slow. Ordered bottomless drinks and barely got 3 drinks in before brunch was done. Also had to go to the bar to ask for our check after waiting for quite a while. Avocado toast was delicious, but overall not a great experience.
We went during brunch. We had a great time. The food was excellent. The mimosa was really good!!
Everyone was nice, the manager came to help as well. My favorite dish was the Black spag with shrimp. Super refreshing pasta dish. Highly recommend. We also LOVED how clean the oysters were and how tasty their mignonette was 💕 lobster roll was to die for
Fantastic food and service EVERY TIME I go here. A real gem, with high-quality food and an excellent wine and cocktail list.
Most amazing vibe, food, and staff
Here is great place!
always We can have fresh oyster!
Service is also great!
Very tasty food and great service! We really e joyed our lunch!
Loved it all. The tacos, the brunch drink special. The best.
We shared the calamari to start. It was delicious and not overly chewy. Unfortunately, it was served with some greens that included cilantro. Yuck! We both had the salmon as our main dish. The fish was expertly prepared and also delicious. I tried the world famous chocolate cookie for dessert. It was way too rich. They only had two choices for dessert. That was disappointing. The restaurant is small and quaint. We sat upstairs thinking it would be quieter. Wrong! They played house music the entire time. I felt like we were in a club. I should have known better... it's a Second Avenue restaurant on a Saturday night.
The oysters are always great and I’m obsessed with the fries.
We had a great dinner at Crave. We were there during the early part of Happy Hour so it was relaxed with moderate sound. The Saint Simone Oysters were fresh and tender. Delicious spicy Margaritas and a Lobster Roll topped the night. My friend loved the Barramundi. We are already planning our next visit!
Always the freshest seafood!
Delicious food, awesome and attentive service from Emily, would go back again in a heartbeat.
Always excellent! This is our neighborhood favorite
Nice ambiance, good seafood & service all around
Excellent sustainable seafood, fabulous flavors, friendly staff and welcoming manager. I will go again, and again.
Great food and service. Shrimp was big and fresh.
Great outdoor dining experience. Oysters were superb, as always. Soft shell crab special was exquisite. Chili-dusted calamari and squid ink spaghetti were terrific as well.
The menu format is weird. The food selection is confusing. Overall it’s lackluster
Our go to for happy hour oysters. Prices are up but still good deal.
The food quality is really good here with very reasonable price. Fresh oysters. I live in the area and this is one of my most favorite seafood restaurants in the hood!
