Best restaurant I’ve been to in Manhattan. Oysters, dinner, drinks and dessert all top notch.
The manager gave us a bday cake and champagne for free
Love the food. Not usual and delicious. Bravo.
A little too crowded but for nyc its ok.
It was just ok. Did not care for the clams, but that’s just us. We had the Shark platter. A bit pricey for what it was.
Birthday dinner. Service & food was great
With 6pm reservations, we lucked into the oyster happy hour pricing. They were “tasting of the sea” fresh and delicious. We also shared the best calamari I’ve eaten in a very long time, and a very good kale and fig salad. For mains, three of us has the barramundi with asparagus, and one had the tuna. I expected the Barramundi to look and taste like the supermarket frozen filets, but I was wrong. Again, the kitchen sent out a well thought out preparation with balanced flavors. The tuna chooser also pronounced his dish perfect. Having cleaned our plates, we were hard pressed to look at desserts but finally chose to share ice cream imported from a well known Italian gelato purveyor. Again, delicious. The only caveat was cost of wines. Bottle price was high but it was our choice to order and the wine did enhance the meal.
Great selection of oysters and love the spicy margaritas!
I was let down on this visit. The food was poorly spiced (bits of hot pepper flakes getting stuck in our throats) plating weird. The lobster roll, which was good enough maybe a B-, was paired with a mountain of fries. That we’re not particularly good. Even 16 year old my nephew barely puta dent in them.
In the past I’ve put up with the unbearable noise level because the food was great.
This time it was very pricey poor food but as loud as ever.
The best part of the meal was the upbeat server.
This was my first visit to Crave, I'm afraid I did not enjoy my visit as much as I could have done because the rear seating area was not very pleasant: heavy cooking smells, very buttery.
The food itself was nice, however a little greasy and definitely pricey.
I may come again for lunch to see if they can give me a better experience.
The service was excellent by the way.
Lovely solo dinner.
Oysters are always the best with lots of choices
Great server and decent price for wine
Un endroit très branché vraiment sympa grâce à tripavisor j'ai découvert ce restaurant ou vous dégusterez des huîtres de grandes qualités
We had fish tacos and catfish sandwich for lunch and both were great!!
The whole roasted branzino was delicious and well seasoned. It was definitely money well spent. The baramundi fish, however, lacked taste. The waiter was very helpful and friendly and the service was well-timed.
Excellent food and service. Wonderful oysters and great entres. A fun atmosphere with a great vibe.
There was a metal strip of wire brush for cleaning the grill in my wife’s black sea bass that she nearly swallowed. The manager took that off the bill and comp’d us with some desserts, but also made a flippant remark about it “...we both know what that is.”, when we showed it to him. He acted like it was not unusual, or a big deal.
Great spot!!! What a find for fresh fish
Food was good and reasonably priced but the cocktails were on the expensive side. If you were there for the oysters you were in the right place. Probably won’t go back as I’m not a shellfish person.
Super fresh seafood and great happy hour menu!
I loved the chill vibe and the food was outstanding. Perfect experience!
Crave Fishbar seated us right away on Sunday evening after a Broadway show as we had a reservation for 3 made several days ahead. There were people waiting for tables as they didn't have prior reservations. Our server Aleah was great in taking orders and serving water etc within ten minutes of or seating even though the restaurant was full of patrons. Since we arrived before 7 pm, they had Happy Hour specials for Oysters at $1 or $1.50 each depending on the type of Oyster ordered. Also, Fish Tacos were special at this time.
We ordered a dozen Oysters and Fish Tacos as Happy Hour specials. The Oysters were fresh and the Tacos were delicious. We ordered Branzino, Lobster Curry, and third Market Fish as well as a side of Rice and Asparagus. All the dishes were freshly made with fresh ingredients and tasted great. The Lobster Curry was slightly spicy. The Branzino fish was perfectly cooked with head-on. We had their grilled Asparagus with
apricot vinaigrette, pistachio. The Asparagus was stalky and not tender but tasted good. The Lobster curry was made of chu chee curry, charred red onion, Japanese eggplant Thai apple eggplant, fresh bamboo shoots. The Whole Branzino came with caramelized fennel, spring onion, arugula salsa verde. The Market fish was from Hawaii and the server couldn't name the fish. It came with heirloom carrots, sunchoke, pearl onions, ras el hanout, cauliflower puree, watercress, piquillo pepper vinaigrette.
We finished the dinners with Bourbon Pear Poundcake with Vanilla Ice cream. The Decaffe drip Coffee was freshly brewed. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a value meal although being small and crowded, the noise level was rather high. They have a Bar and wine is available. The service and food are excellent. This restaurant does use Sustainable Seafood guidelines from the Monterey Aquarium, CA.
Mediocre at best. It’s a glorified bar that sells seafood. We ordered a lamb kebab style entree. I’m convinced it was a low grade version of hamburger meat. We definitely won’t go back to this one.
Amazing combination of flavors and such a great surprise! The cauliflower soup is ridiculously good! So was the kebab app. But the winners of the night for us were the lobster curry and the filet mignon! Cant wait to go back!😀
Amazing oyster happy hour deal! Love this place! Would definitely go again
Whenever want to eat oysters.
Consistently very good at the bar and at a table. A pleasure to be there.
Fantastic tasty food.
Great service 10/10
Excellent place for oysters, bubbly and calamari. It gets noisy sometimes but the ground area front is nice and calm.
We LOVE this restaurant. Food is delicious and we are always thrilled
Our meal was wonderful and met all expectations of what a great nyc restaurant should be. I am coming again for the cauliflower soup, calamari and milk honey cake
Impressive first visit. Francisco at the bar was a friendly and attentive host. He made some great suggestions on the tostada and Barramundi. The wine list is limited but well focused for to me u.
Too noisy. Food is ok but not up to the prices. Service lacks professionalism and hospitality.
Our evening was super! From apps and drinks off the happy hour menu to transferring the tab to our table for an amazing dinner- crave is so comfortable and fun! The food was outstanding!
went on a Saturday for evening dinner and were shocked and thrilled to see that there was a weekend happy hour menu! Everything we ordered- from the oysters, to the pasta, and the drinks- was delicious!
Great Happy Hour Oyster Deal. Service is excellent and the Big Ben is a delicious drink!
Awesome joint for raw oysters! They have over 15 different types of East and West coast oysters to choose from. All fresh and juicy, depends on what you like, salty and meaty, sweet and creamy, the server are informative and can help you to pick. Don't miss their happy hour every day from 5-7! Food is also decent and the place is always busy.
I have been here a few times with different group of friends, and if you like raw oysters and seafood, this is definitely a place to go.
Besides the oysters, I also enjoyed their main dishes. The lobster curry is delicious (order rice to go with it), squid ink spaghetti is pretty good and my person favorite is the tasty homemade cavatelli (love the texture)!
This is definitely my go to joint for raw oysters from now on!
