Cant best the Happy Hour food and drink prices.
The wait staff are very friendly.
The poor point was the steel drum band.
My party of 5 could not talk amongst ourselves. If the band was on the patio the atmosphere would have been top rated.
But we'll go back.
Another good meal at Crave 52 - pretty diverse menu with good specials and decent wine list.
Highly recommend this place! Crave has wonderful summer specials. For an appetizer, we ordered the Bluepoint Oysters, which were delicious and for our main course we ordered the lobster roll and chicken marsala. Both were amazing!! Our server Erika was wonderful. We will definitely be back!
I’ve been to crave many times for lunch and dinner. My go to is usually the crave burger or a burger on special. I was in my typical mood for a burger, it’s summertime. But, I felt like switching it up and my server Valerie recommended the lobster roll. It was really good, so good I wanted to get another. I don’t really do reviews, but hopefully people read this and give this lobster roll a go, you won’t be disappointed.
This is a definite pass. No exaggeration, this is the worst food I have had in the area, ever.
Steak tacos were exactly like chewing a rubber dog toy. Despite the fact that two of us ordered this, neither ate more than a bite or two and gave up, the server never thought to ask if the food was OK. Clearly it wasn't.
Cheese board is literally grocery store cheese cubes.
I'm mostly disappointed in the fact that despite it being slow, and despite the fact that any observant server should have noticed we weren't enjoying our food, the server seemed entirely uninterested in us. I will not go back, you shouldn't either.
My server/bartender Ainsley was amazing, she anticipated my needs before I even opened my mouth. The nachos were okay but the wings were excellent !
All very good. Nice area as well. Apps were tasty and filling. The mains were good too. Decent selection and appealing specials.
The house drinks were good. The cheesecake desserts were the only not so great experience. Still we tried it.
Very good experience over all.
College graduation brunch. Made reservation the day before on OT for 6. 1 .5 hr before the res when we were in the graduation ceremony i get a call from the restaurant that they dont take reservations for 6 thru OT and that they are booked. Not good. They said come anyway and there may be a little wait but hopefully could fit us in. We became 7 and They seated us at a 4-top with a larger empty table next to us that they wouldn’t switch us. It never got used the entire time. The food took 2hrs to get. We ordered 2 appetizers and only got one. It was good but we would eat anything by that time.
We loved Crave 52! They were so accommodating and food was excellent! We loved it will be back again!
Great service and a rose for every mother there for Mother’s Day - nice touch!
Food was exceptional but the staff must have overslept.
Took my mom for Mother's Day. Food was fantastic and the bottomless mimosas were a hit! The staff was very attentive (the bottomless mimosa glasses was never empty), friendly, and helpful.
We went to Crave for MOther's Day brunch. The bottomless mimosas were great. The service was excellent and it was busy but not crazy. The food was good - standard breakfast fare and a nice place.
Good food good service good fun
Very disappointed. Went last Sunday. Restaurant side empty. Very noisy party on bar side. My friend and I ordered specialty cocktail. One of the worst I have had. Almost no alcohol, did not have any kick despite listing jalepeno tequila as ingredient. Asked waiter for some lime juice which he brought. This helped but considering this was $14 drink, thought he might express some curiosity why we were doctoring the drinks. I had seared tuna appetizer which was excellent as was the roasted cauliflower. Everyone else's meals ( chicken fajitas, tacos and salad ) were bland and below average. Ordered standard margarita thinking they should be able to get that right especially since Cinco de Mayo. Nope. Seemed to have orange juice and little other flavor. Oh well. I picked the restaurant for our group of 4 and felt like I let the group down. With so many other restaurants near by, it is hard to imagine the restaurant surviving but the bar side was rocking.
I ordered the avocado toast which came on toasted wheat and a sprinkle of sesame seeds. The avocado was raw and couldn’t be eaten. The waitress was very nice but did not come back to check or ask if everything is alright, luckily I ordered a side of tater tots so I paid $10 for a plate of tater tots for brunch.
We went to Crave 52 for an early St. Patrick’s Day dinner and a couple of pints. Place was hopping, they had a very good menu for the holiday as well as a solid everyday menu. Service was a little slow, only 2 people behind the bar at 6 o’clock made for a little wait, but they were hustling so not their fault.
We’ll be back
The staff was wonderful! And the food was excellent! My friends and I really enjoyed the brunch and would love to go again!
Not the greatest of...well, anything really. Average to below average apps. Horrible wine choices for Happy Hour. Slow staff. Don't order the calamari-it had zero flavor.
Nice place, young staff, ordered fish, Luke warm, awful texture poor flavor, great prices
First time patron. The valentine menu for $40 was a good deal. Food was great and tasty.
Only thing was we were not offered coffee until dessert was finishEd.
Got sick from food that I ate here. Steak tacos were disgusting and Caprese Sandwich was dry and unappetizing. Will not return.
Fine food. Eclectic menu with a very wide variety of choices. Excellent drinks. Wonderful service. Worth a visit.
Very attentive staff. Our meal came fast so we got to our show on time
I got the steak and it was almost inedible...it was so grisly and tough to chew.
Love this place. We were seated in the bar area as there was a private party in the dining room.
The bar is decorated beautifully for the holidays. Food and service were outstanding. We will definitely go back.
To be fair, it was a Tuesday and it was early for a bar (6 pm) but I have to review from my experience not from one I haven't had so take that into consideration. The service was pleasant and real laid back. Was wondering when waitress would come to ask us if we wanted a drink. The place is nicely decorated for Christmas in the main bar area. Overall I got the feeling this place is starting to show its age and could use a redo. The drinks were very good. We ordered nachos which were very good for nachos. The mozzarella and tomato salad could use a little bit more garnish, like fresh basil. It looked kind of plain and dry. The noise level was just right for conversation so if you want quiet, come early. I understand that it's quite a fun place later on in the night. And yes, I would go back and try more of their food.
We should have known when there was no one there that we probably should have gone somewhere else. The food was served cold and lacking flavor and the spring rolls were so greasy they were not edible. I will not be returning ever
This was our third visit to Crave. Service is always excellent and we all enjoyed our meals.
Looking forward to dining there again.
My beef soup was excellent. Then we ordered roasted chicken and steak frites for the main courses. The chicken was not very meaty and it was overcooked and dry. The steak looked strange, had an odor to it, was tough and was considered inedible. It was not eaten. Overall, while the service was pleasant and attentive, the food was poor to bad and was a waste of money. We would never return when there are many other good restaurants in Fairfield. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.
This was my first time dining at Crave. My date and I arrived a little early for our reservation but were promptly seated. To start we shared a fresh mozzarella and tomato, and a homemade angus meatballs. Both were very good, as if my dates Italian grandma made them. For our main dishes, she had the fried goat cheese salad, and I had to have the Gnocchi Bolognese. I'm not one for salads, but upon her insisting I take a bite, I tried it; and it was tasty. The Gnocchi were in fact home made and the Bolognese Sauce was seasoned and sweetened exactly the way I like it. Our waitress, I believe her name was Valerie, was very attentive and sweet. We stuck around after dinner and went to the bar area for another drink. I've never been here, but when I saw the layout and the TV's- I had to make it a point to come back on Sunday to watch the games and hangout. I had a great time again, with a few friends and we loved the roast beef sandwiches and flatbread pizza.
Entire place had a creepy vibe. Food was sub par. People smoking right outside the door made it feel like they were smoking inside. Just gross.
First time there, the food was great the service was even better....they make their own fresh pasta! and have a very varied menu, something for everybody....we will be sure to come back. The parking is a little tough but worth a little walk......
The short ribs were had by two people and both loved it. Just like home. Another had a chicken dish ( can't remember the name) but it had sweet cherry peppers and potatoes. Loved it! Chicken was delicious. We were visiting Fairfield University and will definitely go back.
We had a dinner reservation for a week. When we showed up we were ushered into the bar area. They did not have a table in the dining room due to a private party. We were offered a high top in the bar. I cannot sit at high tops and when I did not have the table we reserved we left. However since it was Saturday night finding another place to eat was difficult. What also annoyed us is that the people at Crave did not understand the problem.
We stopped here on our way to Boston and we loved the local specials. The food was amazing, Sammie was so helpful and friendly with our interest in the local beers and menu. Would recommend this as an easy find while traveling the area!
