We call it CRAFTED AMERICANA.
My husband and I had brunch for out 'Baby Moon" weekend. What a wonderful meal. The only reason I deducted a star on service was due to this particular Sunday being a Buffet Brunch, meaning pretty much self service. However the staff was very helpful and quick to ensure all guest needs were met. I generally stay away from buffets, however as a buffet critic I must say this was exceptional. A great selection of lunch items as well as breakfast; prime rib station, chicken Florentine, Omelet station, cocktail shrimp, high end breakfast items, etc. Aside from the selection was the actual taste of the various selections. Superb !!!
Additionally the ambience of the restaurant,( which is located inside the Ridge resort ) definitely tipped the scales to our next stay in Lake Geneva being at the Ridge vs. our prior standard go to.
Nice birthday dinner. Waiter very nice and attentive but often hard to find.
Restaurant was not staffed or many people large group came in and we waited too long parts of our service. My ravioli dish arrived cool. No bread was served or offered with the mail. Others food was tasty with mine. A better lunch venue then dinner in my opinion.
We attended an after-wedding brunch. The buffet food was delicious, the atmosphere (in a private room) was pleasant with great views of the pool and golf course. The wait staff was cheerful and friendly.
Only complaint was that we waited a long time for coffee, water and juice carafe refills (we were done eating by the time our drinks were refilled).
Overall a lovely experience. Thank you.
Excellent food and service
Great food and great staff!
Good service food drink view
lovely view of Lake Como, wine selection is excellent, food might be a little over priced and menu has some limitations
Excellent food and service! Burgers are fantastic and can’t beat the view
Great spot with an outstanding view of lake como
I dined here for breakfast and it was really good! The service was very slow. Also, wish they had a kids menu since there are lots of family visits.
Great prime rib special and excellent service - even allowed us to move to a window seat
This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise! We had a large group of 9 and really had a delightful experience with the food and the wonderful service. We started with the wings and the cheese curds and both were delicious! The Friday special Fish Fry was also really, really good as was the filet. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Lake Geneva.
Burdened by flies during the entire meal. Venue was empty and yet service was slow. Food was good, but missing components you would expect from a meal at this price point. Did not feel 'crafted'. Not special at all. A hotel restaurant trying to be more and not quite making it. Basically not worth the drive from downtown Lake Geneva- acceptable if staying at The Ridge due to the convenience.
We arrived at the Ridge for a wedding the following day. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Three of us ordered the Fish Fry, which did not disappoint. Crispy, moist and tasty. The potato pancakes were thicker than any I’ve had before and they were very good. My husband and I split the Honey bear salad, it was still a huge portion, and delicious. We ordered cocktails from the bar, martini, old fashioned and the minted lemonade. They were very good. Sadly the bar outside, Bar 55, was no where near the level as Crafted’s bar. We had to come back up to order a good cocktail.
Since the Ridge Hotel was transformed 4 years ago we have enjoyed appetizers, meals and wine at their restaurant throughout the summer months. Some times the Service is slow, but most of us are on vacation or are attending a business event , but the end result is a wonderful time with family, friends or business associates.
Our first try staying at The Ridge Hotel (since the Abbey Hotel was sold out), we thought we would try their restaurant. Even reading the poor Yelp and Google reviews, we thought we would judge it for ourselves. Well, it started off poorly from the get go. After waiting a fair amount of time, the hostess finally came by. She looked catatonic and in a zombie-like state, brought us to a table. Since my husband usually doesn't like high boys, I asked for a table. A flat "no" was offered. No apologies, no explanation. The food was middling to mediocre. We started with a salad, which they split since we said we would be sharing - nice touch. Just an average salad, especially for the cost. Our entrees came next, but after quite a long wait. They weren't busy so we were puzzled why it was taking so long. The server kept coming back asking if we wanted more drinks but at this point, we wanted our entrees. They came and disappointed. My husband's burger was good, but my chicken skewer dish was a sad dish, especially for the cost. I instantly regretting not getting a burger, which was probably the best thing we received the entire evening. We ordered a bread pudding to split. The dish that held it was very hot, one of the scoops of ice cream had fallen and completely melted before it arrived. No offer to remake, or give another scoop of fresh (unmelted) ice cream. Again, nothing special, just an average dish.
We asked for the breakfast menu, which was overpriced as well. He was nice enough to offer another place as an option. We opted for the other place, which was a long wait but well worth it.
If you are staying at The Ridge Hotel, drive somewhere else to eat. You will be happy you did.
Anniversary celebration - Travis, our server, excellent! We all had a fantastic evening
Travis great server! Kept our glasses full and knowledge. Enjoyed our conversation with him as well. I really like the food I ordered and I’m certain Travis’ recommendations contributed to our experience. I really liked the decor as well. It was all around a pleasant and enjoyable experience. and I would do it again. Tragically I ate too much and paid for it later.
Pesky fly kept coming around our table, but this was happening at a number of establishments in Lake Geneva. I found what I wanted and was satisfied. That being said it would be nice to see a few more options food wise for tea totalers. Yes I know the name of the restaurant conveys alcohol... but some of us simply can not partake.
We loved the wings and wedge salad! Just enough and e thoroughly enjoyed our meal. 😊
The food was pretty good--though, pricey for what you get. Weird observation: the chairs are insanely loud when pulled out from the table--they scrape against the tile floor and make a really crazy, disruptive noise. Seems like an easy enough fix. Drinks were tasty, service friendly, view was great, and all in all we were glad we ate there. The "hotel restaurant" is usually a letdown. This was entirely decent.
Went for father-in-law's birthday and the service and food were both really nice. Would eat here again.
Enjoyed everything from the ambiance to the food to the drinks!
Our party had a very nice dining experience. We all opted for the fish fry and the food was very good. The service was friendly and very attentive. The views out the window were very scenic and added greatly to the overall ambience of the restaurant.
Our table had a beautiful view of the lake and the food was amazing! The service was unbeatable and the ambiance of the restaurant was memorable. We really enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back!
The glare from the sun was intolerable. Get some shades for the windows. Entire dining area customers had to keep sunglasses on or squint through a $$$ dinner.
Amazing! Very accommodating to our Keto lifestyle 💕💃👠👠
I say noise level was energetic because our group of 5 laughed for 2 hours. Only two other tables in use and hopefully we didn't interrupt their lunches. Then it was 1/2 off appetizers and 1/2 off bottle wine. All were great.
My wife and I enjoyed our time during dinner. Prime rib was great, the veggies were great. My wife and I cleared our plates. The only down side was my dessert. I had the bread pudding and it was little dry for my liking. Otherwise great experience.
Fabulous food and wine! Highly recommend it! Spectacular views!
Your check in area needs improvement. Could not find reservation and became somewhat argumentative. They showed no customer service training and were clearly too inexperienced for their role. When one is expected to pay as much as you charge for a meal, I don't want to deal with a teenager with a bad attitude arguing with me that I don't have a reservation even when I show her a confirmation number.
I will think twice before returning. It was not worth the extra wait and a fight with your staff.
By the way, while sitting at your table, a staff member called asking if I was still coming ???????? I let them listen to your piano since we were sitting near it. Obviously NO ONE in your organization knows what is going on.
Friday fish fry was amazing!!! Great views and a hidden gem in the newly renovated Ridge.
It was a fabulous experience! Dinner & breakfast was awesome!
Wonderful meal and service. Food was flavorful and hot.....drinks are always fun with different unique flavors.
Food was very good. View of the lake is wonderful. Enjoyed watching the sunset . Would highly recommend!
food and service was excellent! ordered an old fashion and it was delicious!
Very nice service dessert is good . The food is okey
Not only was the restaurant itself beautiful, so was the view. Our server was great, timely and professional. We shared the potstickers and cheese curd appetizers. Both were excellent. The chicken breast 'burger' was exceptionally tender and favorful, while my husband loved his meatloaf melt. The whole meal was exceptionally good - and well priced.
It is such a shame that such a beautiful restaurant has such mediocre food. Drinks were great. Ordered the pork chop and it came with sweet potatoes and a disgustingly sweet sauce and a ton of raisins! It drown out anything else on the plate. I'm local and the area really needs a good farm to table restaurant. This place could be a star with that concept or at least different food. I'll probably only comeback for drinks.
