Craft Table & Bar - Worcester
First visit and we were both impressed! The space is beautiful following renovations. My only suggestion would be taller plants between the dining area and the bar so that the TVs aren’t so visible from the tables, as it affects ambiance.
The food was excellent. Although not vegetarian, I ordered the BBQ Jackfruit Tacos—they were delicious and so similar to pulled pork! My date had the chicken Veronique, which was also delicious. We’ll be back for sure.
Thank you for the great review David!
We arrived at 6:15 which should have been plenty of time to catch the 7:30 show at the Hanover. Unfortunately our food dint' make the table until after 7 pm. We had asked for it to be staggered, as we ordered 4 appetizers, but it ended up coming all at once.
Always a great menu offering with reasonable prices and great service. Great location to grab dinner before an event at The Hanover Theater as the restaurant is directly behind the theater which makes an easy walk.
Thank you for the great review Mary!
Came here for Mother's Day brunch and it was so delicious. It was really nice inside and the service was great.
Thank you for the great review LoungeLove! We are glad we were able to help you celebrate Mom's special day!
Went for Mothers Day Buffet and it was a mess. Not very busy but all the food and plates ran out and it was just ok food. Newer restaurant that just needs to get their stuff together. Don't think ill be heading back there though, many more solid options in Worcester.
Thanks for stopping in Aurelius!
I know it's a newer place so they may still be working it out. Had a reservation and sat on time. The drink menu looked interesting. We ordered two special drinks from the menu and two general drinks. The "special" drinks were absolutely disgusting. We sent the drinks back and the bartender noted that he already knew it was coming back. Why is it still on the menu if they are getting that kind of feedback? Two apps ordered. The cauliflower was very good. Dinner came and fries were under cooked and they were supposed to send sweet potato fries but sent regular. We requested the check and took us approximately 30 minutes from asking to walking out the door. We could not locate the waitress and when we did, she could not locate the manager to remove the drink from the bill. Staff was not attentive and asked for simple things like water numerous times. Also, the lights in the bar were flickering. Would not recommend.
Thrilled to see jackfruit tacos on the menu. And they were delicious. Boyfriend had jerk chicken sandwich and loved it. We will be returning.
Thank you for the excellent review JimO! We can't wait to see you next time.
I ate at the bar. Super bar staff, great drinks, great food. Pretty crowded for grad week so probably noisier than norma but I had a great time.
Big Family Dinner tonight at Craft was enjoyable for the whole family. They were very accommodating to the small kids in our group and everyone found the food to be very tasty. Don’t miss Bang Bang cauliflower, Duck Fat Fries or the Caramel Nut Crunch dessert. Great bar and atmosphere for large party.
The place was very nice. The burger I ordered was a bit soggy. May need another type of bread for the breakfast burger. Something that would withstand the egg and jam. Also the bacon is not cooked to crispy. I saw this was a complete on previous reviews. The bacon should be crispy!
The decor was simple, the service was very good. We were seated at a table for 2 in the middle and when the tables on either side of us filled up with large parties, it got pretty claustrophobic. The food was alright, not 5 star. I liked the idea of the 'loaded' mashed potatoes being treated like baked with sour cream and bacon bits. The cheesecake with caramelized sugar surrounding it was a very small piece of cheesecake with one inch thick caramelized 'candy' that really had no purpose because it wasn't edible without almost breaking the plate (or your teeth). Overall decent experience.
Great food and staff was excellent.
The service and food were outstanding. We chose to have brunch with our family after attending my son's graduation at the DCU Center. It was an excellent choice, the staff were helpful, complimentary (about my son's graduation) and even offered my son a congratulatory dessert on the house. I whole-heartedly recommend the Craft Table and Bar in Worcester.
My steak was terrible. Sent the first one back as it was way over cooked. Advertised as a ribeye, pretty sure it was a flank or skirt steak. Ate half the second steak. So bad I couldn't even finish it.
From the ambiance, to the food, to the service - everything was fantastic !!!!!
We are glad you enjoyed your visit! Hope to see you again soon!
Food was good. Server (April) was awesome. Will be back.
Thanks for the great review Jennifer!
Great drinks, good food, loved our bartender and especially our waiter “O” 💕
Thank you for the great review!
We (2 adults, 1 child) really enjoyed this for Easter Sunday Brunch!
Thank you for the great review! Our next Brunch Buffet is on Mother's Day. Be sure to stop in and say hello!
Onali is a great bartender. Great guy!
Thanks for the great review!
The food and service where very good but the noise level was to loud to have a conversation even in a small group
Thank you for the great review!
Excellent service. Amazing food. We will definitely be dining there again soon!
Thanks for the great review!
We went to brunch and Dr. Seuss readings by the Mass Pirates. We brought out 11 month old because he loves books. The readings were posted to begin at 12:00 pm. At 12:45, they hadn’t begun reading. They advertised this event to be “Dr.Seuss” themed, but there was nothing Dr. Seuss related. If they are going to host family events like this, they ought to have changing tables in the bathroom. We had to change our son on the bathroom floor. Totally unacceptable. Food was delicious though. Needs better organization with these events.
Everything was great. Kitchen was slow. Waitress April was awesome. Noise level high. Will definitely go back.
Unfortunately they were having a rough night. Waited 10 mins before someone came to offer drinks. Then 45 mins for first app to arrive. Then manager came to explain some sort of problem in kitchen causing delays. Then waiter comped another drink but did not bother to ask if my husband wanted the same one (which he did not). Thankfully they did the right thing in the end and comped the entire meal, which was unexpected and which we appreciated. However will not be visiting again.
I was pleasantly surprised by this downtown resturaunt. Food was prepared nicely and the service was excellent. I encourage you to go and check it out. Menu has some different but delicious options
Thank you for the great review!
The food was amazing. Good service. Could tell everything was freshly made. Was slow when we were there so it was very quiet, but would definitely go again considering how great the food was.
With a reservation I would have liked a nice table. We were at the worst table in the place. Right next to the door and people couldn’t even walk by us with standing sideways. My purse was knocked off the chair several times. People would say sorry when they walked by.
Waitress was great and food was ok. My husband got the lobster Alfredo, pasta was unevenly cooked and lobster hard to find.
Craft has potential, but really needs to work on the service. We arrived at our reserved time, and were sat immediately. Although there were plenty of open tables, they wanted to sit us at a table closest to the restrooms and service area, but they did accommodate my request to move to a better table. That hiccup should have been the tip off that the rest of the meal would go downhill from there. We waited 15 minutes after being sat, not only did no one come by to bring us water or take a drink order, the staff on the floor never even looked over at our table. I got up to speak to the manager, who to her credit, came over to take our drink order. One of the two drinks was messed up - I guess their recipe for a bourbon old fashioned, is just bourbon on the rocks?
When our server finally came to take our order, she was non-apologetic. We ordered our entrees and a bowl of chowder to start, 20 minutes later everything arrived at the table. Our server, just said, "Oh yeah, I was busy and forgot the chowder. You don't want it now?"
My dining companion ordered a slice of what they called a buttery cake served with a vanilla sauce and asked for the check at the same time. 15 minutes later she came by the table and said, "You didn't get the cake yet? I guess I forgot again." What was eventually served to us was a frozen plate of rock hard cake and frozen sauce. Not the gooey butter cake we were expecting. And you can probably guess that the check still hadn't landed on table. When the check finally arrived, our server did let us know that it was the busiest night she had ever worked.
All in all, I think (other than the dessert), the food was good (not great), but the service was terrible!
My husband had steak tips and friend had salmon, they both enjoyed their meals. I had the Baja tacos. They are an odd combination of flavors that just don’t work together. Wasabi mayo, mango salsa, Cajun rub on the shrimp and lots of celery seed in the slaw. Too many conflicting flavors!
First time customer for dinner before a Hanover Theater show. Good location - walking distance to the theater. Drinks were good. Not a huge beer list, but good. The artichoke dip for an app was delicious. Shrimp tacos were very good, same with salmon. Server was attentive, but busy - it was a Saturday night and crowded. I have already recommended it and would go back. They have comedy shows next door which would be good to check out.
We had a great time and the food was delicious! I would definitely eat at Craft Table & Bar again soon and I will be recommending it to my friends! Our waiter was extremely kind and patient with our questions. It was a great evening enjoying dinner there and then proceeding to Hanover for a show. I am eager to visit the comedy club adjacent to Craft Table & Bar in the near future. Thank you!
Fabulous service at a 7-person family meal
Food was OK, but meats were a all a little over cooked. Review is based on cost against quality. It came up short. Service was very good and the place looks great.
Wonderful city type lunch spot, offering updated classic cuisine
Food great but extremely noisy to the point conversation is almost impossible
So glad this restaurant has opened! Just a four minute walk to the theater, a nice restaurant like this has been sorely needed.
Great service and great food at at a fair price. Really feels like a Boston bar/restaurant. Try the Jackfruit tacos; spicy, tangy really different
My fish and chips was over-cooked. I did not say anything. The appetizers were great (truffle fries and tuna wontons) and dessert (ice cream pie). Loved the space and the decor.
