Outstanding

The atmosphere was lovely and the afternoon tea was very unique. We let the restaurant know of an intolerance but it seems they got the food confused and my friend had eaten food that she was intolerant too and suffered a discomfort for the rest of the day.

Lovely afternoon tea with my son here through living social. Wonderful service, friendly staff, highly recommended.

I found craft by chance and am so glad I did. Food was great. Work of art at places. Good balance of acidity and flavours. Wine was even better. Good list. Not sure why it was not busier. Service was attentive. Explaination of food being served was great. Thank you. Choose English wines , they are really good.

I can’t wait to go back. Haven’t stopped thinking about the entire experience since Saturday eve. The wait staff were friendly, knowledgable and enjoyed telling you about each course and wine. The food was out of this world and it lives up to its name. This certainly is a ‘Craft!’ Every dish was so tasty and delicious with 4 or 5 different flavours and textures experienced at once but very well balanced . I’ve never had such a variety of food that delivered and exceeded itself course after course! This place is next level dining experience. I love the concept and the thought process. We had the taster menu with wine pairing which I highly recommend it was great value you will not be disappointed. We also tried the cocktails and they were delicious. Truly unforgettable thank you Craft.

The food was exceptional but the service let them down. If the service had been on point, this would have been a 5/5 experience.
Unfortunately, wasn't that good from the off - no-one to meet us when we arrived,wobbly table (which was fixed by the waitress, with some napkins shoved under it!) no re-fills of hot drinks, no eye contact from other waiters and lack of attention. It took ages to get a cocktail menu and then that person never came back to take our order. We then managed to get the attention of a 3rd waiter, who acknowledged we wanted to order a cocktail and said he'd be back to us, but served his table and then went on his break!! We wanted to sample the cocktails as we're sure they'd be delicious based on the food, but didn't get chance as no-one wanted to take our order.
Given uncertain times with the Coronavirus, there appeared to be a lack of hygiene - tables not wiped down properly, waiters touching rims of glasses when serving water etc.
We are keen to book again, as we'd like to try out the main menu, but would hesitate due to our experience with the service.

Myself and sister had afternoon tea and it was by far the nicest afternoon tea either have had, and we’ve had a few!
The food was outstanding, exceptional flavour and presentation. The customer service received was also outstanding, very friendly and accommodating.
We would not hesitate returning to Craft and already looking at when we can go again. Would highly recommend to anyone considering visiting Craft Dining Rooms!!!

Ambience/lighting/mood needs refining but food was amazing!

The food was delicious and well executed. The halibut starter is a firm favourite, followed by the lamb... which was extremely flavoursome.
Staff were all very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was fairly quiet for a Friday evening however we did dine early. That said with a well known comedian performing to a sell out crowd the same evening at the Symphony Hall I expected it to be busier. Perhaps The Craft and The Symphony Hall should collaborate to market this little gem..... the outside dining pods are a great addition especially for a small party of diners.

I will certainly return to taste more of the delightful well ‘craft’ed menu!

Lovely restaurant with very good food. Definitely for a special evening out. The staff were very nice but a little distracted at times. Perhaps just be aware if a table is trying to catch your attention. Our first course came and we hadn't even ordered the wine yet despite having tried several times to call a waiter over. Also the main course came out very quickly - which is good but perhaps a few more minutes would have been nice. But this is quibbling. it was a lovely place with very nice food.

Refit has significantly improved the ambience of the establishment. Tasting menu exceptional and easily approaching some of the very best Birmingham has to offer. Service terrific with very knowledgable sommelier. I hope people give this place a chance to shine as it deserves to do well.

I would definitely be recommending the craft afternoon tea to friends and family the experience was flawless we enjoyed all aspects of it from the food to the setting to the attentive service we received throughout .

Very disappointing. But mainly around the little things that add to your experience. No one offered to take our coats when we sat down, the wine we wanted was not in stock but we were not offered an alternative at the price of the wine we preferred. When my main arrived the waitress placed it under my arm when She could see I was looking the other way and not aware she was there so I ended up putting my arm in my food and she didn’t make an effort to correct it.
The food itself was lovely but at £30 for 2 courses I felt it was overpriced as the mains did not come with any sides (even ones you could purchase).
The toilets were in need of decoration which is poor considering it had only recently opened.
Not much atmosphere and apart from one waiter who was lovely the service was average.

We went at lunchtime so may not be a fair judge of the ambiance.

Food was very tasty however, let down by being only luke warm.
Service seemed slow.

If you have a Groupon voucher please ensure your table through them as well.

Excellent food, reasonably priced. Wine choices are excellent- we were recommended a very good English red and white that complimented the chosen dishes well. Service was excellent. Staff were friendly and knew the menu well. Chef Andrew Sheridan- just fantastic dishes! Thank you

We were so excited to experience this new venture only to find out Aktar Islam didn't actually help create the menu. The food was good though, just not value for money. The afternoon tea looked amazing though.

We didn't get to experience the pics, which was the second appeal to visit too. It was a rainy day and understandably couldn't serve out there, but maybe this should have been factored into the design concept.

The interior was a little confusing, a mish mash of different styles which worked to some extent but also seemed like the cost some went on some aspects only for others to be less well presented.

The food, server, place and the whole atmosphere was absolutely beautiful! My mom and I are not used to fine dinning so it was amazing that the server gave us a step by step talk of what we were eating. He even gave us a tour of the restaurant because we came at a time where there wasn't much people. Really friendly staff and worth the money 100%. I will be coming here again!

Didn't hear what the server told my partner what food she was serving us when I asked her to explain again she just smiled

Fabulous food, the Chefs were Andrew Sheridan and Stu Deeley. A great evening, lovely ambiance and the staff very friendly, would recommend 10 out of 10. Convenient location. Would highly recommend.

Lovely place. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very quiet on the lunchtime we went but I would imagine it is livelier on an evening and weekend. Food was amazing. Limited menu but the food you get is perfect in taste and presentation. Staff really helpful in describing the food and recommendations of wine. We had been bought a voucher for a 2 course meal but ended up having a 3 course as it was too tempting not to. Would definitely love to go again even without a voucher. Menu prices very reasonable anyway. Thank you.

Great value, food was very good, wine was lovely and service was excellent. It was a little quiet in there but it was a sunday afternoon and the music was abit of an eclectic mix but nothing offensive.

The food was delicious and the staff were great.... Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about each course being presented. However, and what spoilt the whole experience for me was how quickly each course was bought out which led me not being able to enjoy the wine. Felt as if we were being rushed somewhat.

Fantastic service and delicious cocktails! We loved the starters, mains and cheese but we a little disappointed in the parsnip and carrot puddings however the rice pudding was very good!! Knowledgeable staff and very accommodating for a food allergy in the group.

Great British fine dining. Lovely restaurant and very good service. We loved the British fine dining and enjoyed tasting British wines which were really good. Food is clearly prepared with loving care and attention and presented really well. Tasted great too. Staff were very knowledgable and friendly. Dietary requirements met without any issue.

Enhance the descriptions on the menu. Quality excellent. Improve some areas for lighting. Staff attend ice an nd knowledgeable.

Food was stunning, an absolute delight. Clearly a chef with ambitions to reach the highest levels. Well worth a visit.

We had a wonderful evening with work friends. The service was attentive and we had the full sommelier experience which was fun and informative. The food was excellent and the wine matched perfectly. Do make the effort to book, you won’t be disappointed by this gem.

Went for lunch - this place was amazing. Great value lunch menu and really good quality. Michelin star style food and service. The only thing that let it down was that it was not busy - please visit this restaurant as this is definitely a keeper for the city of Birmingham! Decor was great too.
Suggestion to the owner that we don’t think the name really suits the type of place it is.

Initially sat us at a table next to a large pillar even though we were the only people in the dinng room. Asked to be moved to another table.
Very little choice of main course on the set menu. The other option was the tasting menu but we had limited time as we were going to a concert.
The room was quite chilly.
My main course of Venison was good but tended to be taken over by the beetroot, the chocolate orange pudding was fantastic. Would have liked to have tried a starter but as the restaurant did not open until 6:00pm we did not have enough time.
Overall we enjoyed our visit.

Possibly some of the worst service I've ever experienced, but the food was excellent.

Arrived at 6 pm for a pre symphony hall meal, we were the only diners in such a shame as the food was amazing , service great too . I will be back for Sunday lunch soon

Restaurant was quiet on a Monday lunchtime, but very welcoming. Staff were lovely, we had afternoon tea which was beautifully presented and each item explained to us. The vegetarian was well catered for. Three savoury items, a lovely miniature scone and four different desserts were all delicious.
