Craft & Commerce
Fresno chili relish, toasted sourdough. Major pro tip: ask about making it a bone luge
Onion confit, white cheddar, secret sauce, kosher dill, brioche bun. Suggested Pairing: Maui Bikini Blonde and A Shot of Bourbon - cold pilsner and cheeseburger. Dessert is bourbon. Like the steak, beef char and bourbon go together like peas and carrots. You get a washdown and killer pairing all in the same
Confit Duck Leg "Tacos"
Crispy duck legs, bone marrow, pickled radish, queso fresco, salsa verde, cilantro, corn tortillas. Suggested Pairing: All Things Must Pass - a hint of umeboshi compliments salty confit cure. passionfruit/bright citrus cuts richness of duck and complements the accoutrements. Tequila makes a lot of sense for mexican inspired cuisine
Really nice setting. The food and libations were phenomenal!
Mother’s Day with my kids (27&24) haha
Fantastic spot for a birthday dinner! We arrived a little early and needed to wait for our table to be ready, and the host graciously sat us at the bar and bought us a drink while we waited. We really appreciated the extra service. And the food was amazing on top of it! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great food and cocktail experience.
Had to wait more than 1/2 hr even tho we made reservations at least a week in advance. Ended up sitting at the bar at a tall table with tall stools. Food we ordered was good- steak and fries and short rib. Place was very loud and really great for people who like to drink and don’t mind the cold- all windows flip out so it’s essentially open air.
Where to start? Specifically called the restaurant to ask if they would be serving full menu for lunch on Mother's Day. Answer was "yes"; when we got there they were only serving brunch and the menu was extremely limited. Burgers were ordered medium, came out closer to rare. Could not get the server to come back to the table to address - could not get the attention of the server at all during the whole experience. Once he finally came back to the table, my son asked for ketchup so he could at least eat his fries since the burger was inedible. The restaurant does not have ketchup which is just stupid. The cocktails were expensive and meh. Ordered a glass of wine that never came so, when we told our server that we were ready for the check, we asked him to cancel it. He did, but brought the check with the wine still on it, which meant more waiting. Have eaten at this restaurant twice before, but now will never go back.
We made a reservation for 7 pm. We showed up at 6:55 and the hostess told us to let her know when it was closer to our reservation time. Wasn't sure if 5 minutes before was too far in advance? Anyways, we waited and at 7:15 I went to check to see if our table was ready because a couple of other groups who also had the same reservation as me at 7 pm were already let in and seated. She then proceeds to tell me that the restaurant was extremely busy and that only she and her manager were working that night. I understand if there is low staffing and it's a busy night but I didn't appreciate that she wasn't upfront about it in the beginning and she made us wait 20 mins after our reservation before someone finally came to talk to us. During the 20 mins that I was waiting, there were other people who were coming back to check to see how long the wait would be and she told them 1-2 hours and that the cancellation list was already full. A random lady cut to the front of the line and started to cry and the hostess immediately told her that "she would work something out and made sure she got in". That lady ended up getting let when she turned everyone else away, and she got a table before we did. The food was good, but the hostess really ruined the mood and the environment for my friends and me. Also, the inside of the restaurant was extremely crowded. Everyone was seated less than half a foot away from the other table. I know we're coming out the tail end of the pandemic, but covid is still around and not everyone is vaccinated.
Always a great time.
Love the decor and overall vibe! Great service and food! Cocktails are amazing
Insanely unique and delicious food. The duck tacos, bone marrow, and grilled oysters were to die for. Really excellent place and you must visit if you get the chance!!
The service was excellent but the food was not as great as I expected.
Our server Amy is the best. We have always requested her. The noise level was very high took away from the experience. The table was not great because the sun was in our eyes.
Amazing place! My SO suggested this place and I was a little skeeved when I read that there was taxidermy on the walls but honestly the place had a really good ambiance and the food is AMAZING! I came here while on vacation and I would def come back if I end up in San Diego soon!
I made it a point to hit all the Consortium spots and I was not disappointed at any of them. Craft and commerce was a true gem. Drinks are amazing and the food was delicious. I love bone marrow and was so happy theirs was superb. The ambiance is very lively, even on a random Tuesday night which is when I went. One of my new favorite places!
Was super bummed that they changed their whole brunch menu. The bacon eggs Benedict was one of my favorite meals in town and now it’s gone :(
I had the c&c burger which was really great and my husband got duck confit tacos which were delicious!
However we miss the old brunch menu!
Drinks and cocktails are always good here
A few years ago I went and the place was phenomenal and I wanted my best friend to experience this place more recently but we were both disappointed.
The food was very bland (biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak with gravy). Music is too loud and can’t hear each other even talk. It is still a pandemic and the restaurant allowed a big group of people to be rowdy and jumping on each other forcing shots down people’s throats which definitely made me and actually a few other tables very anxious.
But sadly I feel like this place isn’t what I remembered and better to eat at nearby places instead. Ambiance is great but the food can use a lot of work.
Always love C+C for Brunch or Dinner - my absolute go-to for consistently great drinks & food in a great atmosphere!
Love c&c. I go twice a week and never gets old.
Great for a Saturday or Sunday Brunch. Great food and interesting craft cocktails.
Would recommend to any couple looking to enjoy good cocktails and bites for happy hour
The duck tacos paired with a glass of Cab are unbelievable...
Fun evening , great food and and wait staff. Thank you!!!!!
Really great service. Good drinks and the duck tacos are a must!
Went there for a birthday lunch and ended going right back the next day lol. The bone marrow is amazing! Love this place and all of their dishes!
Came on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed! They were running late on the reservations so we waited a bit for our table. They sat us at the bar while waiting for our table, we got some drinks and they transferred us over when the table was ready. The staff was really good at communicating on wait times and overall attending to our needs. The ambiance of the place was pretty cool too. Food was absolutely delicious (we got the tartare appetizer, short rib entree and c&c burger entree). Overall, highly recommended!
Amazing food and ambiance. Ordered a variety of things and everything tasted amazing
Very much worth the wait of trying this place! Happy Hour has awesome choices. My 12 yr old said it was her favorite restaurant ever and she loved the wagyu tar tar and bone marrow. We all enjoyed it!
Amazing food & specialty cocktails
The drinks were some of the best I’ve had in SD. The bar staff was so friendly and succeeded in making us forget about the pandemic for a few hours. Thanks for the awesome experience!
We weren’t impressed with the brunch menu or the items we ordered. Drinks and service were good.
Loved this place! The food and cocktails were fantastic
Amazing dinner. Amazing staff. Amazing ambiance. Get the bone marrow. Trust me. Really great way to spend our anniversary. Make a reservation ahead of time!
Food and drinks were in point. Vibrant and lively and hip atmosphere. Reasonable prices for the quality. Love this place!
Always great service! One of our favorite places in San Diego
Biggest flaw was my food was cold and not seasoned very well. My steak frites sauce was very cold that it made my steak medium rare feel unsafe to eat. The bone marrow was so fatty and no real taste. The braised short rib was cooked well but again a mister with the seasoning on the meat and the grits. Overall not worth the price and will not be returning.
Amazing gastropub with great table fare and drinks to accompany them. Made reservations easily with OpenTable. Ordered the bone marrow (must try), but quail skewers and shishito peppers with a C&C old fashion to wash it down. Service was excellent as well, can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!
Great customer service. The food was delicious. Definitely will come back.
This place is great, first time going and I like it a lot !
Duck tacos were great including presentation. Service was welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu.
