Craft & Commerce
Onion confit, white cheddar, secret sauce, kosher dill, brioche bun. Suggested Pairing: Maui Bikini Blonde and A Shot of Bourbon - cold pilsner and cheeseburger. Dessert is bourbon. Like the steak, beef char and bourbon go together like peas and carrots. You get a washdown and killer pairing all in the same
Fresno chili relish, toasted sourdough. Major pro tip: ask about making it a bone luge
Chicken & Dumplings
Roasted chicken meat, sage dumplings, carrots. Suggested Pairing: Songbird - here, zingy acid, bitter gentiane, and herbaceous young tequila helps lighten the weight of this traditional dish. Implores you to leave no dumpling behind!
This is one of my favorite places of ALL time! It’s literally magical when you walk in…the ambience and the gorgeous design.
The amount of small, special details are impressive here; from the toothpicks to the delicious food being served steaming hot.
The servers were overworked and didn’t have enough help. Ours did great but still could not keep up
after reviewing the menu at home we were looking fwd to having the Grilled Whole Branzino; very disappointed that the menu had changed (we understand new chef) and so we settled for other things on the menu to sample. really wanted fish.
our server was attentive considering the number of people crowding the place.
we were expecting good dining, but realize that Craft & Commerce is more of a bar catering to drinks and bar(ish) food.
The duck confit tacos are AMAZING. Portion is big enough for two people to share.
Cannot recommend this place enough.
The Nashville Hot Fried Chicken was delicious and more than enough for two people. The biscuit it comes with was great.
The vegetables were well cooked and a perfect compliment.
Food was very good, service was a bit lacking but I’ll attribute it to the restaurant being extremely busy. The drinks, food, and ambiance were all very good. Reservations should be made, it’s always packed in the evening.
We came in to grab some drinks with some friends.
We came in at 10:30 so maybe the kitchen was closed, or they had switched to their late night menu. Late night menu wasn’t too impressive, so we declined ordering food.
Our table thoroughly enjoyed their cocktail choices.
The service was ok. I don’t know whether the server had too many tables, or the service bar was slow, but it did take a while for the drinks to arrive as well as table check ins.
We love the tiki bar in the back and the drinks are delicious. The carrots were not cooked all the way through but the rest of the food was good.
Always had great rime here hang out with my friends. The food was just ok, they need to add more seafood into the menu. It was too much meat on the table. Otherwise service is great.
Always have a great experience at Craft and Commerce!! The food is delicious and the drinks are world of art!
Started in false idol for a couple tastes drinks the headed to dinner. The food is delicious with good portion size. Little Italy is a fun place to be, and craft & commerce is a great place to start your night
Duck tacos & steak frites were delicious, as were the cocktails! The biscuit is basically dessert & is incredible. Fun atmosphere, was shocked at the low cost of the bill too. Would definitely go back!
It was amazing!
Love this place!
Our waitress was amazing! Could literally see her smile through the mask! Our cocktails were incredible and the food was delicious! Great ambiance and experience overall
Great environment, super cool! Food was delicious.
Always fun. However, I wish they still offered the Kentucky Rivera from long ago. I keep it on my phone so they can still make it, LOL.
It’s always a fantastic time at Craft & Commerce! Food is delicious and the drinks are always extremely well made.
We enjoyed our Friday dinner at Craft and Commerce. The vegetable sides were exceptional and the raclette was perfect - it felt like we were back in Europe.
I love the theme here. I'm a huge taxidermy fan. This place is like the Natural History Museum in LA, or if you recall, that Sheryl Crow video from like 15+ years ago. The taxidermy is very well done, none of the weird stuff with googly eyes and human teeth. The lion taking down the wild boar at the main bar is fabulous.
I like that the street side is somewhat open so it's dining al fresco which is always lovely to do in San Diego. Most of the chairs don't have any cushion which can make sitting uncomfortable unless you're blessed like JLo.
I got the C+C burger. Very flavorful, cooked perfectly and it's reasonably priced. I wish they had ranch or ketchup for the fries though. No vodka is served here so plan on drinking something else if you want a cocktail.
Went to False Idol afterwards, the attached, hidden Tiki bar. Staff was so unbelievably nice and helpful. Drinks were delish! I got the Mac Nut Cha Cha. Like a pina colada but with a macadamia nuttiness to it. It was quite good.
Whether resident or tourist to San Diego, it's well worth dining here.
Great Dark setting, flames/lights at tables make it feel more personal and secluded. Friendly staff, food came quickly and they accommodated our reservation even though we were a tad late. Food was great and the old fashioned there was one of the best I’ve had.
Highly recommend this place for a night out.
Great food and cocktails! I recommend the duck tacos!
We enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was excellent. We had the mussels which did not seem entirely fresh and some were not open. This was accompanied by mostly burned toast and a sauce that lacked distinct flavor. Our other plate was the beet and burrata salad which was mostly arrúgala with a dollop of burrata and just a few small squares of beets. We asked for more beets and were promptly brought a small bowl full which was very nice. In the end we were not as impressed with our meal as we would have liked to but we had a nice time.
Been here before and it was absolutely delicious. Came here again visiting from LA and the food was really bland this time. Bone marrow was cold and steak frites weren’t flavorful at all. Still coming back though! Sure it was just a one time thing.
Our server Astin was great and all the staff were very accomodating and even was able to get us inside the secret bar inside (False Idol). Drinks are moderately priced and food is great!
The food/chef menu changed since the last time I visited and it was not what it used to be, disappointed to say the least.
Such a great vibe with even better food! Cocktails were spot on as well. Definitely would recommend.
Really cool vibe with amazing food and drinks. Love taking friends from out of town here (and to all the CH projects)
Fun, quirky place to eat, unique drinks. . Long lines. The hidden bar was a gem.
AN EXPERIENCE, ALSO A GREAT WAY TO DOUBLE DIP, ENJOY A MEAL, AND THEN GO HAVE SOME DRINKS AT FALSE IDOL. GOOD TIME WITH FRIENDS!
We had a great time dining at this restaurant. The food was excellent (roasted carrots, duck tacos, friend chicken) and the drinks were great. The overall layout, design and decorations were really fun. The one drawback was the restroom which was in a slightly unsettling location
Overall, this was a fantastic evening at reasonable price point.
Food, location, drinks, everything is really good!
I have been waiting for a special occasion to dine at Craft & Commerce, and it was well worth the wait. My partner and I shared the mussels and steak frites. Both were delicious. Their cocktail selection is well-rounded and it took much of my willpower to refrain from ordering a third old fashioned. Despite it being a busy Sunday night and having a party of 7, the service was top notch. We even came back a couple of hours after dinner to get into False Idol.
Food was very good. Portions surprisingly large. Great atmosphere
Great night out for friends. We even had our 3 kids in tow (one 6 year old and twin 5 year olds) and they had so much fun! They were in awe of the animals and loved the burger and fries. Cocktails were amazing and the mussels were delish! Even got to sneak into False Idol for a cocktail (without the kids)!!
“Something” happened in the kitchen and our food couldn’t be made. Only had the bone marrow but that was delicious.
Get the duck tacos!!!!!!
Fun ambiance but very loud. Hard to have a conversation if you’re going here for a date. The menu is limited but the whole chicken was amazing. Drinks are also superb. Would recommend this for friends going out and date with a significant other (not a first date).
William is the best server!
Bummed they reduced their menu even more. They have 6 entree choices, and got rid of the hush puppies which was part of the reason we went. Overall, still good. Burger is bomb, fries are great.
