   Came here with teenage daughter this Thursday evening (I was over from Bristol on business trip, took UoH student out to feed her up!). Went for the Pitmaster Tray for 2 to share and were not disappointed - real stand-outs were the Burnt Ends, sausage, wings and ribs, and the chips were perfect too. Suitably stuffed by the end of it. Great service - friendly and at the right speed; nice atmosphere too (buzzing but not too busy). Can't fault it, will definitely return next time any of the rest of us are at that end of the M4 again.

   It has to be said and shouted about, the team at C&C are without doubt some of the best and nicest bunch of staff you are likely to come across. They looked after us so very well and the food was wonderful - its not our first visit to this marvellous place and it won't be our last, for sure. Thank you for making mothers day celebrations so much fun.

   expectation was hi based on media image, in reality food was overall lacking in taste, ribs very average, meat plate went cold quite soon as not served on hot plate, just one sausage on shared platter worst item was chicken wings. Staff good attention to detail, prices steep and overall nothing like say an American stake house, Overall poor value for money

   The staff could not have been friendlier and more helpful. They were brilliant and the food was amazing. Unfortunately right in the middle of the rather small restaurant was a very large raucous table, who seemed to be having a competition over who could shout/swear the loudest. It was so anti-social that it sadly ruined the experience for us and the table next to us, as they completely dominated the atmosphere. I’d hoped it would have a more intimate feel for a date night. Such a shame as other than that it’s a great place for dinner, thanks!

We're a place for everyone, however I share your frustration that occasionally other tables aren't as considerate as others when it comes to noise/language. We'd always be happy to move you somewhere quieter on request, but granted this isn't always possible during peak times.     Chicken wings were lovely. Mushrooms were very average. Burger was excellent. Beef rib was excellent. Mac and cheese was disappointing. Service was pretty good, only slow on ordering drinks. The setting was very nice.

    It was my partners first time at Craft and Cleaver. Initially she was apprehensive due to her Autism and difficulty in finding food that doesn’t affect her sensory processing. She loves burgers but finds that a lot of restaurants overdo the sauce making them inedible for her. When ordering she had a conversation with the waitress who was professional, relaxed but really friendly. She reassured my partner that she would make sure no sauces were added and it was made in a way that the buns wouldn’t become soggy. After my partners apologised for being difficult the waitress refused to accept her apology. We were a customer with needs and she would make sure it was being accommodated. The drinks and good were impeccable. The fact you guys are dog friendly made the experience so much better. Amazing atmosphere. Friendly and family orientated. We will be back 100%. We didn’t catch the waitress name but we just wanted to thank her for being so lovely to us and our odd requests.

    Brunch was excellent - hard to decide what to have!! Service was good without being intrusive. Cocktails were well made and delicious - we had the tequila Bloody Mary yum.

    We have visited several times and the food is always amazing. Very small complaint if you can even call it that, we booked for six people and the table was far too small.

    First time here and it didn’t disappoint. The starters of mushrooms and the peppers were outstanding and a good size. Followed up with the rack of ribs and burnt ends with salad and slaw. Again a good size and really tasty. The waitress was absolutely lovely and offered a great service. Would definitely go again.

    The food was totally amazing and the people serving were attentive, professional and friendly. Only marked down a star because we were seated outside which despite warm clothing and heaters was cold when there appeared to be space inside. Would definitely eat there again but not outside, unless it was warmer 😊

    Bought the valentines meal (£75). I had a suspicion it would be quite a scrawny portion, so I asked can I see the normal starters, was told ‘well you’ll be having the lobster meal so that’s what your obliged to buy’, yes I know… I’ll be having that, now.. can I see some starters?! I was later having a beer, she said ‘that’s the last one’, when I ordered another I said, ‘the most similar to the last one’, she came back saying ‘we’ve nothing like that’, me, ‘ok just get me any beer then’… the brisket came… 3 meagre pieces came. So… I topped up with some burnt ends. £165 later we left not happy. I would have thought they respond to this

    First time eating here. Really enjoyed our meal. Great burger and outstanding fries. Best beans ever. A real must have. Very good coleslaw. The burnt ends good but way to salty. Understanding the smoke process. Also understand the salting. BUT CUT BACK ON THE SALT !! Probably wouldn’t have it again. Would order something else next time. We will dine again here

    Very noisy and EXTREMELY expensive. Unfortunately, won’t be going back again. The food is good but for those prices, I’d expect Salt Bae bringing us food to the table.

    We were a lunchtime party of 4, it was very quiet upon arrival but the meet and greet was good. The beef rib was delicious and we followed up with sticky toffee pudding desserts. Slight delay in the mains arriving but the experience was very good overall with a friendly waitress serving us.

    The food was brilliant, hit the spot and absolutely delicious. The service was good, but the one disappointment was that the restaurant does not take cash and made no obvious notice of this. I felt the brilliant food and nice service was let down by this, customers should have the right to pay by cash, and this mean not coming again.

It's a better & safer option for us as a small business and there's a few other reasons for our choice which I'm afraid I cant go into. Hopefully you'll give us another go sometime soon

    Absolutely had a wonderful night at Craft n Cleaver. Lovely friendly staff, food was delicious. My family and I just love the vibes and atmosphere in the restaurant. Friendly service and served honest good food. Top it off, it's dog friendly!

    I’ve never been to craft and cleaver before and it was a special occasion as my daughter is leaving for Uni next week. I drove 40 mins to go to the restaurant and we were seated in a back room that was more like a shed than a restaurant. No ambience at all. The food was mediocre and overpriced. Really disappointed.

    The female waitress was fantastic, gave the dog a bowl of water and was generally a lovely lady. Food fantastic, will definitely return. My partner and I said how great the service is here, everytime we go.

    Really good service and friendly staff. It was a last minute booking after another place I had booked had a misleading menu offering and so it was even nicer that they put a candle in the desert for my partners birthday.
