Really enjoyed our business lunch. Food and service were both outstanding. Will definitely come back.
Craft 14 was loud, food was okay, drinks were average, view of Stop and Shop and a parking lot not appealing.
Very small burger at high price
My companion and I had the fried artichoke appetizer which was excellent. I had the salmon which was cooked just the way I ordered it. The kitchen was amenable to change the side dishes to accommodate dietary restrictions. My companion had the cubano sandwich which was also excellent. The wait staff was patient and very helpful.
Food was excellent though they offer a limited menu or perhaps the menu offerings weren’t compatible with my taste. Service was spotty, we had empty drinks for what seemed like 20 minutes; we had to forcibly ask for another round. One of our food items was wrong. Although we wanted dessert it was never offered to us and we sat with empty plates and glasses in front of us at the end of our meal, forever. We decided to go elsewhere for dessert. We put our jackets on to signal that we were ready to get going and still didn’t get the attention of our waitress. We finally stood up looking around until someone noticed us and went and got our waitress. There were probably four other full tables so the restaurant was not overly busy. I also felt like thy were overly priced for what they offer and we go out a lot so I’m never really shocked by prices.
The food was very good. The service was mediocre at best.
Our young daughter wanted to order from the adult regular menu. She didn’t want the cous cous and they charged her $6 more for corn. Making her meal the most expensive.
Multiple people ordered the same entree and they very sloppily brought them out and mixed up the entrees (some people didn’t want sauce etc).
They would do themselves a service to train people better.
We dined, party of 4 at Craft 14 + Bar. Nice pub/bar environment, moderate to dark lighting and open space feel. Our orders:
1) Plank salmon (me)...I asked the server if the salmon was ocean caught or farm raised and she quickly answered ocean caught. This, of course, is increasingly rare today so I while I had my doubts i ordered it. Served on a bed of grains with a smooth delicious pureed squash, I have to say the salmon was excellent. Cooked pretty much to perfection. Pleasantly surprised.
2) Wife ordered crabcake app only and said it was also very good.
Service was very good as was the beer and craft drink selection. We didn't know about Craft and it's really not far from our home, maybe a 20 minute drive and well worth it. We'll return. Recommended for a casual meal with a bit of flare and good quality.
Great local spot. Good drinks. Food very good. Great apps. Wish there were more burger choices on menu.
Nice casual menu! Mussels, burgers, salads and mains ....something for everyone.. Service was attentive...the popcorn instead of bread was a nice touch!
Service and food were very good. Variety of choices on the menu. We will be back!
Food was really good and service was friendly ! Will be going back
Very enjoyable lunch. Excellent service and food. Music was a little loud. But overall a very nice.
We were a table of 7 for Sunday brunch with a reservation made on opentable. There was no table set for us despite my confirmation of the reservation.
Lighting was dark even during the day and music was blaring so it was difficult for us to have a conversation..
unfortunately our waiter who was most attentive had just started work and it was his first Sunday brunch. Therefore he had to keep running into the kitchen to get answers to our questions.
Food was mediocre at best. The fried chicken sandwich was very greasy. The lobster salad sandwich was tasteless. The crabmeat sandwich was OK. The French toast was nothing exceptional and was quite expensive for what you got.
This place missed the mark for a Sunday brunch.
Not a positive first impression of the restaurant. Server gave us misinformation about one of the entrees. The fish and chips was a bit greasy, but still tasty. We were seated next to a table that included two children...the adults allowed the kids to run around the restaurant, which prevented the servers from performing their duties properly. The management did not say anything to the customers about their unruly children because, as the waitress said, "What can you do? You don't want to upset the customers?" However, they didn't realize that the annoying children were upsetting us.
Low key vibe inside but food is delicious and service was great. Perfect weeknight dining. Will definitely be back.
Always excellent food selections, with fast service. Lively atmosphere. Free popcorn on the table is a nice touch.
Nice place to meet a friend for lunch or dinner!
Love the fresh buttered popcorn served w drinks!
Crab blt was delicious. Chicken sandwich marinated in soy did not taste good and texture was odd. I thought chicken would be fried, will avoid that sandwich next time and go for crab.
Service OK. Bartender friendly. Owner manager a bit grumpy. Good burgers and fries but use to be a bit better. Worth a visit.
Craft 14 is such a cozy dinner destination. The food is incredible (don’t leave without trying their chicken sandwich), and the drinks are delicious (their milkshakes are amazing). I love going to restaurants that never make you feel rushed or out of place, and this is definitely one of those places. I would highly recommend Craft 14!
Good food and service..very very loud
Good basic food for family meal out. Would recommend.
Had lunch with a friend. We sat outside since the weather was nice and it was relaxing, Inside seating would have been great too! The lunch menu had really good choices. Will go back again!
Birthday for 91 year old family member. Food was very good and service and hospitality was awesome
Service was mediocore and food was okay. While we really enjoyed the lobster Mac and cheese, the (2) fish tacos weren't anything special (@ $6/taco, we were expecting to be wowed). Prices seem to be high for the fare and ambiance. I'd bring the kids for a future visit but would skip for date night.
Great drinks and burgers. Chicken and waffles were good.
Service was great. Always is. And they had a great lunch special --- appetizer and entree for $17.
Mother’s Day dinner: great food, lovely wine and beer selection. Server was a little slow with the drink refills. Will be going back again when in Wilton.
Great food and solid beer list
Great pub experience
This was our 6th time there. We loved it when we first visited just after it had opened, and were very excited when we found out that their new executive chef was a favorite of ours from another place. Then, about two months ago we went for dinner, noticed the food was mediocre and the service significantly off kilter and I asked to speak to our favorite chef and was told he was no longer there ( we had never had a bad meal at his prior place so I’m pretty confident the decline was not because of him and that his leaving was due to the decline). We figured we’d give it one more try this past week. BAD decision. We arrived with a reservation, were seated promptly....but then sat and sat and sat before anyone came to even take a drink order. I ordered a flight of 4 BEERS (as listed on the menu) and what arrived, prior to the wines that others ordered, instead of at the same time, were 2 beers and, without any prior notice, 2 CIDERS (something I don’t like and would not have ordered) it was placed on the table and before I had the opportunity to tell the server it was not what I ordered, and I didn’t want it, he was gone like a ghost. The rest of the meal was equally “off”. The chicken sandwich was mushy, not crispy as advertised and the accompanying fries warm and flaccid, not hot at all. The fish tacos flavorless. (Nope, impossible to get someone’s attention to correct the issue, i even had to ask 3 times just to get a single actual beer). With terrific places like Cactus Rose and Marly’s in such close proximity I can say we’ve given Craft 14 its last visit. A place that started with such promise has quickly and sadly declined
Korean buns and ricotta croquettes were both delicious and nicely presented. Hubby loved the burger with the fried egg. Order the Walk the Plank- passion fruit cocktail - delicious. Great place!
The food was excellent. Among our party we had the fish tacos, shrimp and grits, ramen soup, and 2 desserts, Portions were plenty. The noise level was quite high when we arrived around 7 pm. We’d go again but try to arrive later as the noise made conversation difficult.
What experience? Restaurant cancelled my reservation for New Year’s Day at 9 pm on New Year’s Eve even after having confirmed my reservation with the restaurant.
Nice bar with good cocktails and a good atmosphere! The menu has many options form small plates to full dinners. There is a wide variety of burgers to choose from. The service and the staff are very accommodating. The food is good but not great. I recommend getting a drink at the bar with friends and having small plates.
We went with a big group age range 11 to 50, including two vegetarians. Everyone was very happy with their food. The drink menu is good. Only downside is the noise. We had a speaker right over our table and it really was a bit too loud. But overall, a great time and we’ll definitely be back.
Good food and cocktails, the fried chicken and shrimp + grits were delicious. In general, the staff seemed nice but impersonal. Our server wasn’t very helpful and seemed more annoyed that he had to work on NYE. Also, we were seated right next to the window with 2 small children when it was very cold outside - and there was only 1 other party in the whole restaurant. I would go again though, because the food was worth it.
Great food, great service, portions a little on the small side.
A bit disappointed this time. Taste wasn’t quite there on the Salmon burger and the service was lacking as we were a bit invisible. Clam chowder, which has a hearty taste, missed the mark and the clam wasn’t cleaned (shell probably didn’t need to be in the soup). Surprised as our prior visit was very good and justified a very high rating. Perhaps this experience was an aberration so I wouldn’t rule it out as an option
