Restaurant food and ambiance was good, I visited on a Tuesday, there was not a lot of people which made the experience very enjoyable.
didn't expect the great food. service was a little and the place wasn't all that busy
I was happy with the food and they have valet parking which was great!
When We arrived, I was told We can only sit on the outside part of the restaurant . Because there’s wedding tonight. Seriously ,did they ever thought about calling and let people know that it’s only five tables on the side in front of the restaurant . Service was Bad . we even have to wait to get a water . Never going back .
The food was ok.. nothing thrilled.. we had couples of appetizers the mc and cheese with crab was super oiled and greased the flatbread margarita was horrible.. it looked like they used a cracker as the dough and it was all saggy... first time .. if we come back.. surely we would try something else..
Last time we'll risk wasting triple digits here (dinner for two w/ three glasses of wine). Waiter very nice but never available. Imagine having to pass the word that we'd like to see a waiter so we could order drinks? Then waiting forever for those drinks? (Excuses given – none meaningful.) Among other problems my entree had wrong sides. (Naturally had to ask someone to get the waiter, who was never visible and never came around.) He brought correct sides when I was two-thirds done w/ meal. Can't itemize every little thing here, but this wasn't the first time service was subpar here. And we live a block away, so we certainly would like this to be a regular place – but won't go again. And, most other restaurants would make at least a gesture to try to make up for its known, unambiguous mistakes, but not this one. Apology for this and apology for that but nothing taken off tab, no drink or dessert offered... nothing of any kind. Sorry but a very bad buy so goodbye.
Great food. Nice place. Terrific staff
Horrible service/Food and no WiFi for customers. Ridiculous. Stick with Asian food...
We have been to the Crabhouse several times. Each time we were completely satisfied with the service, the food, and our drinks. The Alaskan king crab legs are the best we have had anywhere, except when we visited Alaska. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
Food was very disappointing. Drinks were good. Special appetizer cost more than most entrees on the menu, and the server could have warned us. Pasta was over cooked and crab cakes contained several pieces of shells. This is the fifth time we have dined at the Crab House, and each time we had to send back part of our meal.
It's a pity, but I don't think that we will return. This establishment has run out of chances to redeem itself.
I was very impressed with everything! It's been a very long time, since a restaurant met up to my expectations. I'm not saying it was perfect, but I was very happy, with my time out celebrating, my nephew's birthday.
Came for the Crabhouse Bisque and the Prime Rib, but unfortunately both were seasonal items and the online menu hadn't been updated. But I found a Rack of Lamb that I didn't notice originally that turned out to be absolutely mouthwatering. It comes with a sauce, but it isn't needed for the perfectly prepared Lamb. Ordered it Medium Rare, and the outside was still grilled and seasoned to perfection. I've had what I believed to be the best Rack of Lamb I've ever tasted in the past, and this beat it. Also ordered the Burrata appetizer that was equally as delicious. Highly recommend this place, but sit on the inside if you want the dark romantic ambiance, as the outside glass enclosed patio offers a smal view of the city in the distance, but more parking spots, traffic, and the barbed wire fence across the street.
The decor here is soo cute, and the food was alright! Just very pricey, but it's New York so that's what you get!
Purchased a Groupon . Very glad we did ! Awesome food. Will definitely return !!
Generous soft-shell crab app. Perfectly cooked filet mignon. Waiter excellent. A nabe fave; should go more often.
The best Alaskan crab legs since we were in Alaska.
Wonderful place with attentive staff and awesome food, what's not to like. Highly recommended for any occasion, especially for a nice quiet date.
Renovations are modern. Restaurant was comfortable and the service was spot on. Food was excellent. Anyone who hasn't been to the Crabhouse in a while should check it out. Much improved.
Food is great awesome service don't listen to the 👎🏾 Down reviews. I will go again!! For sure. It's across the street from Hunts Point South Park great skyline view of the city. Places to sit and enjoy the rest of the day!!!
Way too loud, Especially for Mother's Day brunch. Crab legs were dry and most certainly are frozen. Someone ruined the Crab House.
Sorry to say, but we walked out and went to another restaurant in our local town.
We arrived on time. they attempted to sit us in the doorway out in the porch. It was pouring rain outside and the porch was damp, as well as the doorway was full of people traffic.
They offered to accommodate us in the main dining room which was welcomed, until we noticed what was going on. They were setting up for a large graduation party and adding a single table for us in the middle of that party. We left!!!
They should not have accepted reservations when they were consuming all the space for a party.
I was very disappointed, as I heard good things about this restaurant and I drove a long way in heavy traffic.
Love this place and have to go when I dream about the shrimp & clam pasta!
Food Was tasty. Loved the truffle and chive mashed potatoes. Overall it can be a little pricey for food and drinks. Not a place to go often if you are counting your coins.
Crabhouse definitely left a unique impression. Every aspect of our experience was memorable. The ambiance easily transcends amongst different occasions The hostess was inviting as well as quick to acknowledge our presence and seat us. Our server was attentive, engaged, promt, and consistent. He felt more like a friend, or an extension to our party, he was such a delight. The food was divine! My date ordered a salad, I don't typically enjoy salads myself, but I couldn't stay out of his plate! He also ordered wings for us, they were the best damn wings I've ever had, and I'm definitely a wing condenseur, so please dont take those words lightly. I myself ordered the king crab meal. I'm from Florida, so I know good sea food when I try it, perfection! Thank you for such an amazing and memorable experience. May bring my girls for dinner and wine some time for a ladies night out!
The appetizers was good. Unfortunately, the Lobster Arragiata was not fresh and overcooked. The size of the lobster was much smaller than other times when we ordered it in the past. The prime rib was tough. The low quality of the food just isn't worth the price they charge. Sadly, we will not be returning to this establishment and hope that they will make improvements.
We didn't get to eat anything. The service is the worst. I made a reservation for lunch, it took 6 minutes for us to be seated. Then we were advised the food would take longer than usual, which was mind blowing as there were only 5 full tables in the restaurant. We sat, no one came to take our order so we left.
This place is beautiful, but they need to get their act together on the service side. This is not acceptable.
Everything was excellent
They have a great variety of seafood options, as I'm sure you would assume, but they also have some good non seafood items as well. We tried their chicken wings the first time, very crispy. The first time we went we also tried the blue crab, which I would not recommend, they were so much work for very little meat and did not come with any sides. The second time we went we got the lobster and were very happy with it, it also came with veggies and rice which was nice. The atmosphere is quaint, I really like how they have redone the place.. outdoor lamp post inside, lights and greenery strung above your heads, old reclaimed wood accents..
Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
They did not improve for the better. Bring the old crab house back
We had an 8pm reservation and we received our food 4 mins to 10pm.
This is the second time I have been to crabhouse. The food is amazing however the service is awful. They need more waiters less bus staff and runners. 2nd time this has happened where it takes 1/2 hour to get your order taken and you never see the waiter again!
First time visiting Crabhouse since it re-opened. The food and decor was absolutely amazing. We have family that was going to Crabhouse 30 years ago. Its now new and updated and the menu, staff, ambiance and the quality of the food was above board. I had the best rib eye in my life and I usually enjoy that at Quality Meats and Del Friscos. Worth the visit, you will not be disappointed.
Menu at restaurant is different from website menu.Very pricey for the rush from servers.I understand there is a limit to table time but at this place is eat and him. We order crabs and no where to put shells..no wipes...all the server wanted to know when we are done.
Great place for a family dinner. Good seafood and steak restaurant. Friendly staff and valet parking.
Excelente sitio ... me encantó la comida, los meseros muy atentos y serviciales. Los ttagos exquisitos.
Food and drinks were excellent!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was not as good as I expected.
We used to come to this location back when it was the Waterfront Crab House. It was dated and quirky and great. I never had a bad meal and it was always a good value.
This new place is not that at all. The decor is more trendy and open. The food was lacking and a bit bland. And the prices too high. Not a good value for the meal we had. I was disappointed. We will not be back.
I tried to keep an open mind, knowing that what I remembered of the old establishment would not be in the new establishment; my experience made me long for the old.
Nice interior but food and alcohol are too pricey . For 2 regular plates and 3 beers we spend 120$
Have reviewed this place well before. But they're inconsistent. Erred on up side with stars here but these comments need to be made. Eggplant parm (special) was TOO cheesy. Pasta with it was excellent. Pork chop on previous occasion was delicious; this time, dry, bland and not enjoyable at all. (Told waiter and small gracious gesture was made on check; I appreciated.) Oysters Rockefeller app was good; previously it had been eye-lollingly good. (Are we seeing symptoms of a change in chefs here?) Wine recommended by waiter was excellent. Waiter did very well looking after us, but every time he's our waiter he's a bit TOO friendly – we're not there to hang with him, ya know? – and he has got to get the message to stop shaking the customer's hand. Explain why to him, will someone? (Note: it's not personal.)
