Crab Shack Caribba - Suncrest Towne Center
The food and service were great. The bathrooms were very clean. However, it was freezing in the restaurant.
Our first visit. Service was good, food was pretty good but waaaay overpriced. We’ll give it another try.
Food was warm - not hot. This is. A seafood restaurant but they had no seafood utensils - a knife and regular size fork.
Positive experience by us all. It was much quieter than our first visit there but we enjoyed the food and service was good and efficient.
The website and menu are quite deceptive. It may have just been a bad night for the server and kitchen staff. I asked for a ribeye -medium rare. I was served a piece of sirloin covered in a cheesy white crab type substance with two rubbery halves of a lobster tail.
New Years eve
Very accommodating to our group of 5 celebrating a birthday. Served birthday cake we had brought, a surprise to the birthday boy, lit candles and all. Server was attentive but unobtrusive. We had a very enjoyable evening. thanks!!
This is one of my wife and my favorite seafood restaurants. On a Friday evening we met her parents and grandmother for dinner since some of us had to work on thanksgiving. There must have been a company Christmas party which Crab Shack had an area roped off for them but they all congregated next to the bar on the same side as our table. More and more kept showing up for that party and literally had people’s backsides within a couple feet of our faces. On top of the party’s noise the music was sky high. Thank god I decided to notify our server about the problem and she made our visit much more comfortable and less noisy by switching us to a table on the other side of the restaurant. The crab dip was awesome and my crab cake sandwich was a little peppery. I usually get a crab leg steamer (which is delicious) but decided to try something different. Our seating close to that standing party could have been easily avoided but kudos to the staff for quickly accommodating our request to move!
Great hostess and server.. Che
. The food is great albeit pricey..
The whole experience was great. You can tell that whoever runs the store has put thought into making it an experience for their customers. Food was great, service was wonderful, and most importantly, my girlfriend had a blast on her birthday.
Our first visit. It was HIGHLY recommended by our Daughter. The Seafood was simply outstanding, and the staff were very friendly, helpful and pleasant .
In every way, it puts Red Lobster to shame. My only complaint is that it isn't in Charleston, WV, but some 2-1/2 hours drive away. HIGHLY RECOMENDED
The Crab Shack is pretty good for a seafood restaurant in a land locked state like wV. This is good, casual and dirty eating. Just roll up your sleeves and dig in.
Shrimp cocktail app was very good. Our brunch dishes were tasty as well-
Very good fish sandwich...for lent we have gone to different restaurants and this was the best.
Food was great, our waitress was awesome, we gave her a $50 tip.
Food was awesome. We had calamari for appetizer and the steamed meals for dinner. My only complaint was the price of the alcohol and most speciality drinks had rum in them. My server was spot on.
I don’t know if it was just cause they were doing a special for fat Tuesday but this was by far the worst crab legs I have ever had. They were way over cooked and tough. Not at all what I was expecting for the cost of the upgrade on the buffet
All four of us ended up ordering the fish sandwich.......checking to see if we wanted to come back on Fridays during lent......and we all enjoyed it......good beer also
Food is just okay. Service was just okay. It didn’t seem like there were enough people working. It took a really long time for our food to come out.
They sat us on the patio in chairs that were flimsy and sat way too low for the table. Food was decent, but overpriced. Pasta entree was barely 5 ounce portion, if that. Salted dark chocolate Panna Cotta had a bit too much gelatin and not much dark chocolate flavor. Red velvet souflee was warm, and very flavorful. Crab steamer was ok, snow crab not very meaty. It tasted fresh and had flavor though. Our server was busy, but attentive. Manager visited our table and was very helpful and attentive as well.
Food was delicious what we got but what I really wanted was a steak and scallops the only scallops that was offered on the menu were bacon wrapped that's not what I wanted the only steak that was offered on a menu is $30 don't really wanna pay $30 for a steak plus another $12 for scallops
There are not many places to get good crab or boils....this place is pretty good. The crab is always cooked well and their shrimp boil is tasty. Although its not to the level of a charleston SC boil, it is pretty good. The waitress was great...very friendly. We were there on a Saturday around 4ish and the place was empty. It is pretty expensive.
We made a reservation for NYE. When we arrived, we were quickly seated. The waiter came by and brought us water while we looked over the menu. We tried to order drinks, but they weren’t serving any of the specialty drinks on the regular menu. We asked if there were any drink specials (we were there during the normal happy hour) and was told no, that they just had the regular menu because it was a holiday. The waiter was annoyed because everything we tried to order (from the regular menu) they couldn’t make at the bar, so we tell him we will just stick with the water for now and keep looking at the menu. The waiter then leaves, and never returns. We waited 15 minutes, and still no waiter. All of the tables around us are ordering and getting food, while we just sit there. The employees are all dressed like hookers. I know it’s NYE, but do you really need to have your boobs hanging out?! We ended up getting up and leaving. We were super disappointed. We had been looking forward to a nice evening out and ended up being leaving.
Had the lobster steam pot, delish, but lobster could have been a bit larger. Hush puppies tasted awesome, could have used some regular butter for them.
Great good. The crab dip and the steamers are excellent.
Food was OK, nothing special. We enjoyed ourselves and would come back if we were in Morgantown.
Site needs to evaluate their Air Conditioning. The restaurant was too warm for a sit down dinner. Although the servers were very nice, they were a bit slow to provide seating and initial drinks after being seated.
Fish and chips ...best yet! Been there 4 times in as many weeks Great food. Really great service every time.
Love their food. Service was good. But the flies flying around us did bother me.
Good food, place looked nice. Drunk people at the bar with the bartender, one guy shouting about losing his weed in a napkin, lady in a red dress rubbing a guys dick at the bar where everyone could see, while hanging out with the bartender.
Good food and value! It was our first visit and we were pleased.
We arrived daily late and the service was fast and good. Waitress was very attentive and the food came out quickly. Ordered raw oysters since that was the special and they were very nice sized, more so than I expected. The boil was huge, could have easily fed two people. Was expecting it to have more flavor and possibly be spicier but in all it was good.
My experience was nothing short of awesome. The staff was friendly, and the food superb.
We are there on a Saturday nt and it was loud due to live entertainment. The band was great however. The food was very good. Not quite as good as Joe's Crab Shack but they do give you a little more for about the same price. I would return
The live music was way too loud for the price and there was a drunk f-bombing in the booth behind us nd we had our young daughter with us. It was all I could do to contain myself and my husband. Other than that.....dinner was great....a Lil too much old bay seasoning but good. My bill was 157 and we gave our waitress 30 tip. All in all....3 to 4 stars....minus noise level and drunk a 4 to 5 for sure.
Enjoyed our lunch. Great food and service.
Great time! Great food! I would recommend this restaurant for a great meal in a casual setting.
awesome wait staff. made sure the kids had what they needed as well as the adults. was involved, polite, and professional
Hush puppies were great, but the po-boys were so-so.
I like stopping here when I am in town. Although the food was 'ok', quality was noticeably down from last time. : /
