CPB @ The Colony Hotel
Great for lunch by the pool. Inside is very quiet and dark.
We went Saturday night . Live music started at 9 with an excellent pianist. The food and service were wonderful. Drinks were great too. We will definitely come back
My friend and I had a great dining experience. We were seated outside next to the swimming pool. Service is very friendly and casual; food is excellent (pieces of art on the plate). Great ambiance! definitely worth the visit.
Always lovely outside dining especially at breakfast!!
Must go back again soon. Thanks
Great food and great atmosphere by the pool!
Lunch at the pool. Menu a bit short but adequate. Lovely setting
My husband and I spent several occasions at CPB including Christmas Day , and enjoyed every visit immensely ,so I thought it would be perfect for Easter.
I made reservation using Open Table for myself and six guests on April 21, 2019 at 5 pm for Easter Sunday dinner. Being of an advanced age we respect the holiday , so men wore jackets and ties and women were dressed accordingly. The hostess brought us outside inches from the water at the pool with children running and splashing . A little awkward don't ya think? No , we didn't want to sit by the pool with jackets and ties on??? So she brought us inside to a back room , dark and dingy I might add. While the restaurant was completely empty . I asked for the round table I saw which was set for 6, "may we have that table please", I asked . "no, it is reserved " she responded. "yes it was me , I reserved it" "No reserved for someone else", the hostess said. Finally , the waiter who was very accommodating set up another round table. The service was excellent, food awful, the last time we were there we experienced fine dining, this food was not good. Five of the seven people will never return. I am so embarrassed to have brought them there.

I have to admit I felt disappointed this time at CPB. Have dined several times at CPB and couldn't wait to return.
Having stopped last minute on Saturday and looking forward to a wonderful lunch poolside with my husband in tow, only to find service didn't even make the scale and food was a total disappointment.
The freshness and vibrancy of fruit plate with scoop of CPB's curried chicken salad was subpar. I don't know if I caught the tail end of the restaurant's produce and stale curried chicken salad, but the freshness was not present so consequently I suffered the consequences. My husband ordered the turkey club, which was mushy, to say the least and looked old.
The servers are usually friendly and efficient, but on this recent visit, I practically had to go into the kitchen to find, ask for and followup items for our table.
I am a little turned off to this establishment and I'm hoping it had been just a busy Saturday crowd that threw everything off at CPB. Will not return in the immediate future.
Wonderful Palm Beach classic with a quaint chintzy vibe you'd expect. Great Decor. I was turned on by the dinner menu but the Brunch menu leaves a bit longing for. It was not bad but it could do do much better. I had a Ceaser's Salad to which my waiter forgot to add the Chicken I had ordered with it, it came shortly there after. Service, needless to say, tho he tried, was lacking professionalism. Once we finish our main meals, a check was dropped on our table without asking if wed like tea, coffee or dessert! I called the waiter out on it, he apologized. While we were awaiting our teas and coffees someone came around and collected the sugar caddy from our table, I promptly called this out as well since we were not finished yet. The second servers where all lovely and quick, hats off to them.
CPB is one of the little secret restaurant gems hidden in The Colony Hotel in Palm Beach.
Whether you are dining poolside or inside the experience of dining at CPB is very special. The atmosphere reminds me of my vacations in Bermuda and having Lunch or Tea while there.
The indoor bar and main dining room were recently redone and updated. There is still plenty of lush greenery in the room contributing to make one feel like they are one tropical island!
CPB is great for a festive ladies luncheon and is versatile enough to host a sensible “power breakfast or lunch”... my kind of place.
The servers are friendly and efficient and willing to please. Marie is great and attentive.
Quiet conversations can be had as well as larger group events in several different areas of The Colony Hotel.
Will return to CPB. The curried chicken salad and fruit plate is out of this world! Food is delicious.
Among the best food in Palm Beach, we sat by the pool and felt a real tropical resort vibe, even though we live here. Had the simplest prix-fixe menu they offered, no dessert and coffee and still managed to spend $200 for two people. Even by Palm Beach standards that is a lot!
Our dinner at the Colony Hotel was the best, most delightful meal we have had in many years in the Oalm Beach area. The presentation was beautiful, the taste was fabulous, the choice was plentiful, and the service was excellent.
My husband and I love the Colony and were excited to see the new decor. We had lunch out by the pool and it was delicious as always and beautiful. Can’t wait to go back for dinner.
Had Sunday brunch. Nothing too exciting. Hotel patio needs a revamp. Food was average to mediocre. Menu is not creative.
Very nice ambiente,
geat piano and most wonderful jazz
Very disappointing, booked outside table by pool for quiet dinning, restaurant had private event by pool area, loud music plus people were smoking cigars. Not a very pleasant dining experience
Enjoyed a nice meal with my mom and sister by the pool. Food was delicious and the ambiance nice - very classic Palm Beach. Unfortunately our appetizer of avocado toast was late to hit the table and very cold since it was on multi grain bread they said had to be frozen - when it did come, it was just ok - lacks a little flavor. Overall a nice place for lunch with good food.
Superb. The quality and inventiveness of the menu, the exquisite and meticulous composition of the plates, was as good as anything I’ve ever tasted in New York, Washington or Los Angeles. Chef Tom Whittaker is a rare, new talent. Get a table while you still can.
I took a couple of friends from the Washington Nationals, general manager Mike Rizzo and his inestimable assistant/major domo Harolyn Cardozo. Here’s what they had to say: There’s a new regime at The Colony, the grandam of Palm Beach hotels. The meals are now as colorful and as sumptuous as the hotel décor. New executive Tom Whittaker and pastry chef Emma Isakoff have remade the restaurant into a festival for foodies while maintaining just enough of the old tastes to satisfy old-timers. My endive salad was sculptural. The avocado gazpacho was creamy and luscious. I skipped the main course having received a hint of what was to come. Emma Isakoff presented a plated dessert with the three new recipes added to the menu just this week: A Cashew Cheesecake with rhubarb, hibiscus, and orange, which is vegan as well as dairy free and gluten free (like the pastry chef herself.) Next: a Greek Yogurt Mousse with a pistachio financier, sour cherry, honey, and morsels of buddha hand, a new fruit discovered at the market. And finally: Textures of Chocolate with Raspberry Rose Sorbet, white chocolate mousse, milk chocolate whipped ganache, dark chocolate cremeaux, chocolate hazelnut streusel, raspberry powder, and sliced raspberries. They tasted as good as they looked. And they looked as if they had been painted on the plate. Wow, just wow!
Upscale restaurant/bar in the Colony Hotel. Dinner menu was eclectic, and bar menu had only limited options. Food quite good, but not a wide variety.
Really surprised. Food was different and good. Service and staff were excellent.
Beautiful ambiance for Sunday brunch
We love the Colony & dining there is a favorite. Unfortunately, we were next to wedding tent & too much activity by our table & noise. Doesn't dampen our enthusiasm for dining there but will ask about events next time!
CPB is the only restaurant we went to that we will definitely go back to next trip. The hotel is fun and quirky, the staff were friendly and professional, and the food was fantastic. Literally nothing to change about the experience. Details: Our server Kerrin was very attentive and was helpful with recommendations and the maitre d stopped by to check on us as well. You can mix and match with the tasting menus, which I really appreciate. We were offered an amuse bouche of oysters, the bread for the table was warm and very good, our first courses were very good, and the main courses were fabulous. There were a lot of different flavors at work in each dish, combined very skillfully (and attractively). Deserts were also great. We were given individually wrapped cookies as we left, which was very sweet as well. We chose to eat outside which was nice, though be aware that if you eat early there may still be people in the pool (not an issue for us).
Wow! Beginning with the plating and ending with the flavors, everything was excellent! Can’t wait to return and hopefully will have Tyler again as our server. 5 star !!
Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff, limited choices for lunch. They took away many of the good things they used to have. I had the fish and chips, it was mediocre. They need to be more creative and offer some share plates as all the other places do.
Was perfect. Great food, great Service! Best scenery! I go way back with Marie at the restaurant having lived at the Colony for a few years so was such fun seeing her... She is the best!
We always enjoy going to the Polo room, especially on our anniversary. There menu has changed, however we were still able to find something we liked.
Always delightful and delicious. We enjoy dining here.
They need to train the staff in customer service. My wine was delivered with drops of red wine on the stem, thank goodness I noticed prior to drinking. Another staff brought my dessert without checking if I had a fork to eat it with. Of course, there was no comment card and management didn't come by to ask if everything was OK. Won't be back. Food was very good except for the dessert that was almost too sweet to eat.
Fabulous experience! The night was warm & there was a full moon. The food was amazing, as was our service.
Another enjoyable evening at CPB! We can’t get enough of this place. A beautiful night dining with old friends showing them the best of Palm Beach. While they were staying at another boutique hotel on the island they said they will now return to The Colony for their next stay. They said the vibe was just what they were looking for. So welcoming.
The food was outstanding, fresh ingredients and the portions were spot on! Save room for dessert..not to be missed.
We will be back, lots of company coming and The Colony is on our must see tour of Palm Beach.
We have a wonderful evening! Great food and service, plus a gorgeous evening to dine outside. Couldn’t have been a better night.
Everything was perfect. Great table outside. Wonderful food and service. Couldn’t have been more enjoyable!!
Enjoyed, as always
Great food and service
CPB is a beautiful restaurant. Very kid friendly without sacrificing the quality of the food. Tyler, our server, was very accommodating and attentive.
This is a great quiet spot for lunch. Outside under an awning, beside the pool, on a beautiful afternoon makes this a very special place. Enjoy.
Awful. Menu ridiculously complicated. Trying way to hard. Left without ordering.
The Colony Hotel was delightful. The food and ambiance was perfect. We were there for Valentines Day and had a wonderful time. Can’t wait to go back.
As an infrequent visitor to Florida, dining at The Colony is always a high point of my visit. From the outstanding and delicious culinary offerings to the genuine positive and friendly attitudes of the staff, my experience at this extraordinary little jewel of a hotel has always been memorable. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Thank you, everyone.
