We are famous for our Kids parties!
Hostess was telling me my party wasn’t there because they don’t seat partial parties (which I hate). But they were there. Pretty pricey, food wasn’t great, especially the meat.
Great service and delicious food. Well priced. We will visit again.
love this place but it is always VERY noisy and busy.
Amazing food and fantastic service. We arrived here for last night in NYC and wish we had found it sooner. The price is reasonable and all very tasty. Will definitely return next time in the area.
Great comfort food, well-prepared, and SO MUCH OF IT! Bring your appetite.
I mentioned on the open table reservations Ithat this dinner was a birthday dinner but there was no follow up from the waitress . I thought the fried chicken would be traditional fried chicken so I was a little disappointed that the crust was on the soft side .
Love Cowgirl! Great comfort food. Our food is always delicious. Staff is amazing!
The food was really bad. Nothing had any flavor, and one dish tasted moldy. Service was good, and drinks were good (and a good deal). Also love the kitschy decor. It’s a shame about the food.
Always love this place!! The food is great, and really good value. The staff is super friendly - and an outside table in good weather makes for a perfect evening!!
Great BBQ be sure to try the Sweet potato fries
Had a party of 7. They squeezed us into a 6 top, while there was a long table available the whole time. The female host or owner walking by was quite rude when I asked for the check, saying, "ask your waiter." Maybe have a smile. Not going there again most likely.
Frito pie very good tho
My aunt wanted to go here for her birthday and it was a very good experience. The food was high quality and tasty. The service was friendly. The decor and ambiance very nice. I will definitely eat here again.
Ribs were terrible. Hangar steak fatty. Would never go again.
Great venue, wonderful atmosphere, good food, and great service!
Sweet potato fries were awesome, get it with the honey mustard!
I love Cowgirl. I hadn't been in years and found it to be just as remembered. Great food, drinks and staff.
We sat outside and enjoyed great drinks (the margarita was outstanding), enjoyed our rattlesnake bites, met a lovely local, and had great service. Loved it!
The best ribs I've ever had! The guacamole and frozen margarita were equally amazing! All in a fun vibe. Can't wait to go back!
We were there in 2005 for my son's graduation from PS 3 and returned since for the sheer fun of it. Great food, service and atmosphere. Loud and party-like!
A fun place with great food and service. They were very busy while we were there but a team of people made sure we were always taken care of. My kids loved it — we’re coming back for the Frito Pie and the Root Beer Floats!
Good for families with small kids
It’s an iconic Downtown place that hasn’t lost its charm. The food is good and the place is fun. What’s not to like?
Super friendly service, average food, good prices for NYC. Great for families with small kids.
I loved everything this place is fabulous. Coconut margaritas, corn dogs, & rainbows everywhere? May make this my permanent home.
Cowgirl was recommended to us for dinner on a trip into the city. The food was great, the service was great! We enjoyed the visit and thanked our friend for the recommendation!
A bit bohemian in style - no issue from me, but might be important to some - but great food.
Cowgirl is lovely and quirky, like its imagined namesake. Excellent tasty food (I had the chopped salad and my companion the Cowgirl eggs) and great attentive service from a waitperson whose name I didn't get (a slender young woman) and friendly Phil. I'll be back.
A group of friends and I went to Cowgirl for brunch. The brunch menu was huge and had many great options. The prices were good. The food was great and everyone enjoyed their meals. The food seemed very fresh. We each got a margarita on the rocks and the drinks were tasty and strong. The service was quick but not very friendly. We did not feel rushed to finish and get out of there, which sometimes happens at brunch.
I have been going to the Cowgirl for years, but this time I brought my mom and brother. We were staying at a hotel in Midtown, but the restaurants there were so overpriced and overcrowded. Even with the cab rides from Midtown and back, the brunch we had here was a great bargain. It was also extremely filling and tasty. To my mind, the Cowgirl Hall of Fame makes the best biscuits in New York. And if I ever have to choose a last meal, it might just be the Texas Two-Step with cheese grits and the chicken apple sausage. My brother (a vegetarian) and my mom (90 years old) both loved their meals, as well as the general atmosphere of the place. Now it's a family favorite.
I always love meeting friends at The Cowgirl. The staff are very accommodating regarding seating. Waitstaff let you know if drinks will take a while if the bar is busy. Nobody has a hissy fit if you request an alternative side and I've never had an incorrect meal served. Food is excellent and portions are generous. Gets noisy at times because people come here to enjoy themselves. A neighbourhood gem.
Food good so we tolerate the noise.
All the other restaurants we reserve with open table give points. Why doesn't cowgirl give points?
copious, amiable, baby friendly and tasty. great staff
I took a friend to this establishment for her birthday. She loved it and did I. The staff was warm and obliging. The food was wonderful. I will be back.
Cowgirl is a sure thing! Great margaritas, great ambiance, great music, great staff!
An absolute neighborhood favorite.....really great Tex Mex options and the people are great. Fun, casual and the chips and guacamole are a great way to end the week!
Excellent food and warm service. Too large portions however. Deadly margaritas!
I said it was my birthday but nothing has been prepared.
Cowgirl is a great restaurant for groups. Its fun and has a huge menu plus good priced beer and margaritas.
