Over the years, the Cowgirl has hosted many famous CW recording artists including Dolly Parton, Reba MacIntire, Bonnie Rait, Roseanne Cash, Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus, Roger McGuinn and many others. We are proud to be a part of uniting true wild-west spirit with the independent, creative energy of NYC.
OLD SCHOOL NYC. I've been going to CowGirl since it opened when I was just fresh outta college. Still great!
All of the hostesses for Sunday brunch were horrible. Bad attitude and very rude. I made reservations and they sat us later while there were 4 open tables! Out of spite cause I asked if we could be seated on time. The tall blonde hair dude needs to not be in customer service!
I love this place! Tha back ribs are perfectly smoked and soft! Best in NYC!
Great for lunch/brunch. Casual and eclectic. Good vibe.
Cowgirl is fantastic! I've been coming to the restaurant for years and it never disappoints. The margaritas are a must and the food is great. The staff is welcoming and friendly. I can't wait until I eat there again.
Fun vibe and American/Mexican food. Good fusion - especially these days!
It was my birthday and we had a party of 8, and y'all made everything fun and easy. Thanks!
There is something about this place that keeps me (and many others) coming back. From the impecible service to the black-eyed pea salsa you will not go wrong having a fun and satisfying dinner at Cowgirl (Hall of Fame).
Such a cute place. Very kid friendly although it wasn’t swarmed with kids. Had plenty of kids choices and lots to keep my 5 year old occupied and good food to keep me & my husband happy too. Casual and great for a Sunday brunch. A LITTLE pricy for breakfast but what isn’t is NY. Would go back every time I was in the city if I could.
Best frozen margs I’ve ever had! And unreal nachos
I lived around the corner from CG for many years in the late 80's and so glad it is still there had been in more than 5 years we went for brunch which is great as it goes till 4pm I hate when brunch ends at 230pm food is basic its portions have never been small most of the staff is always having a good time with the customers just love only sad note the buttermilk biscuits were rolls bread whatever not a biscuit
cowgirl is one of my favorite places in the village, I like the urban western feel. I love country music, I love western movies, I love wearing western shirts, I love burgers, I love beer and, I love red and white checkered tablecloths. so I felt at home right away!
Great vibe and the staff was really accommodating when we were a bit late for our reservation. However, the food needs to be greatly improved
Very friendly service. Great spot for family dining with lots of options. Really enjoyed our evening!
Our server was great! Very helpful. The food was good too.
Staff and atmosphere were great. Menu was great for families. Food was good.
Great place, my daughter absolutely loved it as did we. We visited around Christmas and the place was busy busy but the staff were calm, fun, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back!
We loved our waitress! She was amazing. And the roasted vegetable salad was DELICIOUS.
Fun atmosphere. Friendly staff. A little hard to find tucked away on Hudson Steeet.
I come here all the time so I'm committed to this place.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, if someone doesn't like Cowgirl, they are a deeply flawed individual!
We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and were seated immediately. Service was friendly and fast.
It was a fun spot for dinner and drinks. We had a tasty pulled pork quesadilla as an appetizer. For entrees my fiancé had chicken fried steak which he said was ok but would have been better if it was crispier, I had a bbq brisket sandwich which was really good as were the homemade fries and the collard greens we ordered as a side were perfect.
This place has been a favorite for s-o-o-o-o many years. Brunch, lunch or dinner - - it's a winner.
Fun place to go, especially with kids. Very attentive service. Food was good, my country-fried steak could have used more seasoning, but a little salt and pepper perked it up. The shrimp fajitas were very good and our 3 year-old enjoyed her mac and cheese. The highlight was the baked potato ice-cream sundae! It tastes as good as it looks.
I've enjoyed their food via delivery and now in person - Friday nights are very loud (noise bounces off everything) but the staff is friendly and helpful and we look forward tocoming back maybe on a quieter day...
Cowgirl always knows how to soothe my jangled nerves. I've never met anyone who didn't live Cowgirl. If someone hates this place, they have severe mental issues.
I am quite picky about Mexican food as I live in New Mexico. Honestly I loved the food here. I've been back three times. My favorite is the chicken enchiladas.
The food has really gone downhill here. The chicken wings were bland and not cooked thoroughly, the mashed potatoes were incredibly runny, the sauces used tasted cheap and uninspired and flavorless. Overall a massive let down as this place used to be such a tasty little joint.
I have to say that having to spend three hours to just eat appetizers was pretty abysmal. I had set out to throw a fun birthday party for my best friend and it really wasn’t all that fun. It’s took 30 minutes for a waiter to come up to us another 30 minutes to get drinks not fun at all
This visit something was off about it and not sure why it wasn’t as good as it was in the past
Great for families - need to repeat orders multiple time to waitress was a tad annoying.
Saturday brunch with friends, great pulled pork, brisket, slaw, beers. Families were enjoying pumpkin pancakes with real NY maple syrup, quesadillas, and egg dishes. Service was remarkably warm and welcoming.
Went for Thanksgiving dinner, great staff and atmosphere. Food was amazing! Can't wait to go back!!
Targeted early dinner with my two young teens. Needed a relaxed setting with kid-friendly food and not too much noise. Food was great, and as the place filled up we felt no pressure to be on our way. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
Second time in a row my food was cold. I like this place, but find the quality has declined.
We went on a Saturday night at 8:00 and after we ordered we were informed that they ran out of ribs. What kind of bbq restaurant runs out of ribs in a Saturday night? However the food and atmosphere were very good. I recommend the Frito Pie and the Guacamole.
Great place for families! Food was good with the exception of a porkchop that was slightly overcooked. Also, mac and cheese was good for adults, but had a slightly different taste than the kids were used to eati ng.... Service was excellent! Atmosphere was fun! It was a bit cold in the room that we were seated when we arrived, but warmed up as the evening went on.
Very cool ambiance. 80’s music. Great margaritas. Service was excellent. Food was good but not extraordinary.
Brunch with the kids. Fantastic frozen margs.
