Great food and atmosphere. Service was impeccable. So attentive and efficient. We sat at the chef bar watching the food being prepared. Well worth it.

Best steakhouse in San Diego…period! The charcuterie meat and cheese board never disappoints and the bread service is worth the $9. The wait staff are veterans and have worked there for years. John was outstanding last night!

Had an incredible dinner at Cowboy Star in San Diego. The ambiance was spot on—warm, inviting, and just the right balance of upscale and relaxed. Our waiter was fantastic: professional, friendly, and clearly knew the menu inside and out. He guided us to the perfect wine pairing and main course, and the steaks were flawless—tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly to order. We made a reservation ahead of time (highly recommend doing so), and everything from start to finish was seamless. This place has officially earned a permanent spot on my go-to list. Can’t wait to come back.

Great evening. We had filet mignon cooked medium. They were delicious. We also had the cauliflower it was excellent. For desert we had the bread pudding- doesn’t get any better. Mark our server prompt, courteous and a professional’s professional.

From the entrance at the door all the way to the exit!!! 5 stars for sure We started with the bread- do not skip this We order the clams and mussels to start Then the Caesar salad- this has shaved croutons and they nailed the Caesar dressing. My husband ordered the filets they only have an 8oz option… but he added the grilled shrimp and for sides got the cauliflower and Mac and cheese I stuck with the Sea bass and I’m so happy I did! Our son got the tomahawk steak wirh their CK sauce Everything was perfect, steaks cooked to order Mac and cheese well not as good as mine but pretty damn close! I would definitely recommend this spot and I’ll be back Thank you

The appetizers were absolutely amazing, the cocktails fantastic and our dinner was perfect. We had the tartar to start which was the best I've ever eaten and the bread complimented it so nicely. The dirty martini and old fashioned with the single barrel Buffalo Trace were exquisite (so much so I had to order a glass of straight single barrel Buffalo Trace). Purely Perfect. Then we got our wedge salad which had a perfect ranch (not to cream and not too thick) that complemented the salad nicely as well as a thick piece of perfectly cooked bacon. My wife and I shared the ribeye and the bacon mac n' cheese which were on point. The ribeye was a perfect medium rare served atop fluffy/light and creamy mashed potatoes and broccolini. The bacon mac n' cheese was a big serving for two but it reheated very well and is a must get when you're there. Wine selection was superb and no matter when you go to Cowboy Star ALWAYS get the rolls.
