• 2018 Lawson$55.00

  The second release of our proprietary blend. Merlot dominate Bordeaux blend. Our winemaker Morgan had been asking us why we never named a wine after ourselves. "Because." Was always our answer. I guess it never really occurred to us or it felt weird or something like that. Anyway, with the 2016 vintage Morgan surprised us and announced he had made a new wine and he wanted to name it Lawson. We tasted it for the first time at a dinner we were at with our barrel reps in Napa back in January 2019 and at the time I remember thinking it might be the best wine he's ever made. And I was very proud it was named Lawson. The first vintage flew off the shelf, so here is to our second vintage. You'd better get it while you can. A classic Bordeaux blend that is silky and rich - 60% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10 Cab franc, 5 Petit Verdot. 100% Discovery vineyard. 75% new French oak for about 20 months. My mouth waters

We hope you'll remember these extraordinary patriots as you raise your glass. A Bordeaux Blend of 80% Merlot, 11% Petit Verdot, and 9% Cabernet Franc

• 2017 Petite Sirah$45.00

  100% Petite Sirah, deep, rich and comforting. In 2007 Cindy decided that she really liked Petite Sirah and wanted to make some for the winery. Because it's not widely planted in WA state, she asked Leif Olsen of Olsen Vineyard to plant us an acre. Having a full-time job and a business to run, Cindy is a busy lady. As she tells the story she "honestly forgot to mention it to David or Morgan" - For four years. Subsequently, about halfway through the 2009 harvest Morgan got a phone call from Leif asking when he wanted to pick his Petite Sirah. "What Petite Sirah?" was Morgan's response. Now, with quite a few vintages behind us (and a great response to the wine!) we' re able to look back and chuckle about the beginnings of our Petite Sirah. Cindy is still not allowed to order fruit. The 2017 Petite Sirah is 100% StoneTree vineyard fruit and aged 20 months in 30% new French oak 500L puncheons

• 2020 Josie Rose$25.00

  A Provencal style Rose made from Cinsault & Grenache. Wine Specs - Vintage: 2019; Varietal: Cinsault/Grenache; Appellation: Yakima Valley Back by popular demand, the 2019 Josie Rosé is sourced entirely from Olsen Vineyard in the Yakima Valley. Named after one of our wine club members' daughter, Josie. At just 2 years old she painted Cindy a picture and presented it to her at the winery. Cindy loved it so much she told Josie she was going to make it into a wine label, and make the wine pink since it was her favorite color. Josie is now 13! and her masterpiece still lives on the label of this fantastic Rose. A blend of Cinsault and Grenache, chosen specifically for making Rose. We picked both varietals early to retain acidity and after gently destemming we pressed off the juice to tank. It was fermented in a combination of stainless steel and oak barrels, then aged for four months before bottling. Lively and expressive the bright red fruits and citrus flavors make this perfect for food and warmer weather

• 2020 Chardonnay$30.00

  A non-Chardonnay drinker's Chardonnay. Wine Specs - Vintage: 2018; Varietal: Chardonnay; Appellation: Yakima Valley. Chardonnay is a rather new varietal for us here at Covington. When we started the winery, we were convinced that "the world didn't need another Chardonnay" so we started out making Viognier. Then, everyone and their brother started making Viognier so we meandered through a variety of whites before deciding that the reason there are so many Chardonnays in the world is because THE WORLD LOVES CHARDONNAY! We got a call in 2016 from Dick Boushey, saying he had some available. Our respect for the Boushey vineyard and the wonderful red wines we've produced from it, made us jump at the chance to make this classic white. In our first year of Chardonnay production, Morgan really wanted to let the vineyard shine though. This meant a gentle pressing, native yeast fermentation, and using minimal new oak. Only 4 barrels were made, and they were made carefully. This third vintage of Chardonnay follows that same thought process, bringing the vineyard to the glass. This vintage went partially through malolactic fermentation and was aged in a mixture of new and neutral French oak resulting in a classic example of Washington Chardonnay

  A classic Rhone style GSM blend, Grenache dominated. Wine Specs - Vintage: 2015; Varietal: Rhone Blend; Appellation: Yakima Valley. Our proprietor Cindy calls this her wine. A devout lover of Southern Rhone blends, Cindy wanted to make a wine like this since our inception in 2002. It wasn't until 2007 however that Covington Cellars had access to the Cinsault varietal. Sitting at the blending table with Morgan and David, Cindy named the wine "Ma Belle", meaning my beautiful in French, and it's been on the production schedule ever since. A single vineyard bottling, this Grenache dominate blend has a dedicated following among our wine club members. The 2016 bottling is a beauty, at 75% Grenache, rounded out by 10% each Mourvedre and Syrah, with 5% Cinsault. This wine offers up a palate coating mixture of ripe red fruits and floral notes

  Bringing the best of both syrah and sangiovese to the glass! The starr syrah is unique blend of 78% syrah and 22% sangiovese. Blending sangiovese into syrah lifts the wine and makes it lively and delicious. Named after david and cindy's vizsla, starr, who was brought home at 8 weeks old just a day before they began their inaugural crush in 2002. Starr is no longer with us, but her memory lives on through this crowd-pleasing wine. The 2014 starr comes from sheridan vineyard and boushey vineyard both cooler sites in the yakima valley. A unique new world blend this vintage is a silky blend of savory syrah favors with bright fruited sangiovese

• 2017 Reserve Cabernet Franc$55.00

  Our elevated version of Cabernet Franc, the Godfather of red wine. One of our Flagship varietals, our Cabernet Franc is always 100% and we decided in 2016 to elevate that even further. The first of its kind in the Covington family, the 2016 Reserve Cabernet Franc was fermented entirely in Spanish clay Tinaja. These clay vessels give the wine a distinct, silky texture and an aroma of cooking spices along with the benchmarks of herbs and black fruits that always make Cabernet Franc so compelling. The vessels do not retain heat, so the wine fermented at a long, slow pace which built elegant tannin structure. 100% Cabernet Franc from two of our favorite vineyards. Seven Hills West in Walla Walla and Dineen Vineyard in Yakima Valley

  Something a little different, unique and special. 100% Petit Verdot. Every year we like to make wines for our wine club only, and this is one of those special wines. 100% Petit Verdot, this is a rare wine that is typically only used as a blending varietal. However, we took it and created a wine that will pair beautifully with a big steak or a campfire in the fall
