   We enjoyed our dining experience. We had Carley as a server. She was great. Our only critic is the music was loud and the bass atrocious for inside dining. We loved the free Valet parking.

   We celebrated our anniversary here, it was everything we were hoping it would be. Very quiet, great views of the pond with ceiling high windows plus the food was spot on. The bar made us a few drinks they recommend and we're fresh. We will be going back. Highly recommend.

   Average cocktails Food was good, not great. Coconut cake was more like a large Bon Bon. Overall not worth the inconvenience of the hike crated by no parking

    Bartenders and bar manager were awesome. Professional, personable and very helpful. Although we had a mix up with the waitress not realizing she was to cover the table we’re seated at, she was super helpful afterwards. Food was very good, ambience lovely but noise level was a bit high.

    Food was not that great but expensive. There was 6 of us most dishes were cold. It was freezing in the restaurant. The menu for not have adequate description of food They served coffee that was cold & was told it was made 2 hours ago

    Had another great meal at Covey Kitchen after visiting my daughter in UF. Highly recommend the Mahi Bok Choy and Paloma cocktail.

    Our food was good and our server, Dahlia was great. She was helpful for recommendations on food and drink. Since we were sitting by the windows, I was a little more chilled than I would have liked. Overall, we enjoyed our Christmas experience.

    Went for Christmas brunch after making reservations many weeks in advance. Waited long time to be seated. Waited long time for server. Waited 10+ minutes to get mimosas. Ordered appetizers that never came before our meals arrived. Wife’s salmon was undercooked. My “French omelet” had rubbery eggs and was very disappointing. Smashed potatoes on my plate were good, but had stray French fries mixed in from the fryer. Waited long time for mimosa refills, but once we got them that was the high point because servers kept coming back to offer more, probably trying to salvage decent tip (which I did leave in holiday spirit). Overall, I’ve had much better meals and service at local diners for half the price. Will not be returning. How has this place gotten so many rave reviews?!? I suspect they may have had staffing issues which are widespread right now, which makes dining out a crapshoot just about everywhere.

    Lack of care in the kitchen. The ‘burrata’ was ice cold with a roasted tomato. Also cold. $16.00 The cheeseburger and fries were fabulous. Always good. The tuna wrap with salad was fabulous. The shrimp cocktail was good; cocktail sauce was stellar. The kitchen had heated the shrimp cocktail lightly as the waiter ‘thought’ I might like it warmed up. Clearly a lack of communication The Roasted Vegetable Salad was to be served cold. I asked about that. Why served cold? I still do not understand that. I did not order it; so I had cold burrata with a ‘roasted’ cold tomato. Weird. Dessert was minuscule for $9.00. I have never had a decent dessert here. I saw 2 young line cooks leaning on the counter as we left. I would doubt Chef was in the house. Yet my husband loves the cheeseburger and fries, and it is very pleasant to sit outside with the dogs. We will try it again. I guess I will have the cheeseburger

    Stood at the hostess stand for about 10 minutes prior to being acknowledged. A couple arrived after me and was immediately acknowledged and seated. Only reason I didn’t leave was because I had a reservation and my guests were already arriving.

    We sat outside but there was a lot of mosquitoes. Food came but was cold and really over seasoned. No napkins or silverware until after food so we waited awhile. Also, waited a long time to get the bill. But waitresses was pleasant. Just seemed like minimal staff.

    Their menu stated turkey Brest as the meat. When we received our dinner we had a few thin tiny slices of Turkey breast and a bunch of dark meat. I’ve never liked nor eaten dark meat, just my preference. I asked our sever Emily to please exchange my dark meat for white. About 19 minutes later the manager came over and said the kitchen would not give me any additional white meat. All plates were pre made. I told him that the menu states Turkey breast , it doesn’t say anything about “dark” meat. He apologized and walked off. About another 10 minutes later Emily came back and said that there was no charge for either of our meals. The manager never said he was doing that. Then Emily came back and said that there would be no charge just for my meal, my husband had to pay for him, which is understandable. The food was not outstanding by any means, the Nanak needs to work on customer service. I was going to take a pic of the menu when we left as there was a copy posted at the hostess desk, but when we left, the menu had been taken down. Needless to say we will not be returning.

    Although service was okay, it took over an hour for us to get our cocktails and then another hour to receive our food. The food came out cold and undercooked and honestly for the price the value seemed like they warmed up everything in the microwave. I will not be returning

    This was a pleasant surprise. Frankly, it is always hit and miss in Gainesville, but Covey Kitchen and Cocktails delivered. Great food cooked perfectly. We had the salmon and the Mahi, both were cooked perfectly. The sauces were spot on, the risotto was spot on. I will definitely be going back. Fingers crossed they keep doing what they are doing now.

    The starters were very well executed. The Bao Buns are the best. Drinks were very good Jalapeño Muddle & Pineapple drink were stars. Dinner better than average. Steak was undercooked but not bad. Fries were crisp and hot. I’d like different lettuce but that’s me. We will be back to check out the rest of the menu.

    The jazz band is a nice touch but can be loud inside to have a conversation. We sat outside and the ambiance is very nice with the fountains outside. The food was good but wouldn't say it was outstanding. This was our first visit to this restaurant and I would consider going back for another visit.

    The food is great, pricey but really high quality, and the setting very modern. I recommend trying it. The only issues are an excessive noise level and a painfully slow bar. We received our bottle of wine after completing half of our meal. Personally, I don't think TV screens belong in a high-end restaurant; if I want a sports bar I don't go to Covey Kitchen. A few tweaks and I'd give it a top score!

    The menu on open table has breakfast til 11, then lunch. When we arrived, it was a totally different “brunch” menu. We had specifically driven +30mins for the lunch menu, so this was disappointing. It took forever to get served, though there were only four other tables. Most of the staff were stood at the bar watching the Soccer on the television. Eventually food came out - my $4 side of bacon (2 pieces) was stone cold and chewy. By the time the server could be seen again and got fresh bacon, we’d both completely finished the rest of our meals. Overall, probably wouldn’t recommend unless you’re staying in the hotel and don’t want to go elsewhere.

    Brought our Baby Gator for her first year at UF and decided to simply have dinner at the Eleo since that was where we were staying (amazing hotel BTW) - First I should mention how extremely comfy the chairs are in the dining room. All of our food was DELICIOUS and our server was such a sweetheart. Unfortunately, they had run out of many of the dishes on their menu even though our reservation was at 5:45pm. I feel bad for the server since it clearly wasn't her fault. I suspect there was some kind of glitch there but I'd recommend asking what they're out of ahead of time. We will definitely eat there the next visit!

    I had a problem with the noise level at Covey Kitchen. There was a small group of musicians playing (with vocalist) but it was so very noisy, that you couldn't converse at the table. It was just awful.

    Lovely jazz quartet and very knowledgeable server. Server did disappear some during latter half of dinner. Food was very good. I had short ribs and have had before. Carrots overcooked and not as eye pleasing as the photos always indicate. Happened last time as well. Small details but those do matter. Will return for jazz dinner.
