The food was terrific - and FRESH! The inside is decorated so cute and appropriately. Between both of those things, we definitely felt like we were in New England having a seafood lunch. The only negative was the hostess, who was also our server. She was friendly enough, but she seemed to have an edge to her, which didn’t scream that we were welcome and appreciated.
This was a fun place for dinner after the Playhouse. The space has a bustling feel to it....great evening out with fabulous food!
Lobster is their specialty and they didn't disappoint. Lobster tail pops were greta appetizer. The Maine Lobster Roll as main course, especially with extra lobster, hot the spot. The beer selections were very good as well.
I'd never had the Connecticut style lobster role, but it was delicious! Hope to make it back there soon after the whole virus mess clears up.
Absolutely amazing food. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. They also make a mean dirty martini. A fav spot for sure
Best Mac and cheese I’ve ever eaten! You’ll be happy to tried those place. We return often.
Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Love Cincinnati and the urban history.
Good good very good lobster good
We had a party of 6 for a week night dinner at 7 pm. We ordered 3 appetizers, the lobster pops were the best, shrimp cocktail was run of the mill, and the crab dip had good flavor but not enough to use up all of the chips that came with it. The Lobster rolls were very good with fresh large chunks of meat. The fish sandwich was excellent but the slaw made the bun soggy very quickly. Lobster Mac is big enough to share and was very good. Lobster bisque was excellent, tasted homemade.
The negative was the crab cakes. These seem to be made from the crab dip. No lump crab meat and a weird pudding like consistency.
The other issue was we did get our fries until we were almost finished eating despite a very small crowd on hand.
Our 1st time The Lobster Bar. The spicy crab dip is phenomenal. Our party of 4 ordered Lobster Pot Pie, Seafood Stew, Maine Lobster Roll, Lobster Mac & Cheese, and Fries. Each was excellent. Fries had a nice crunch to them. Bright inside. Minimal decor. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The whole ambience was casual and comfortable. A great value for the quality of the food.
The food was just ok...maybe my expectations were too high. The cost was expensive for what you received and I just was meh over the taste.
First time diner. Absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and the service was on point. I cannot wait to return!!!
Loved it! Felt like we were in New England and the food was outstanding. Will be going back soon.
Best maine lobster roll i have had in a long time. Fun atmosphere.
Fresh food, great service, and definitely will be back!!!
First time dining at this fine establishment. I do not have one complaint. The food, service and dining area was absolutely perfect. Extremely impressed with the quality of food to price ratio. Will be returning in the very near future.
Great atmosphere, delicious food, and attentive staff.
Parking was OK. We had to walk a block. If you expect the taste of Maine, this isn't it. The restaurant is very different and was busy. We like our slaw a bit sweeter. Good beer selection. Servers were fast and very pleasant. We ate all of our mac-cheese.
Loved the Maine lobster roll and wow those fries were perfect. The lobster bisque however, had a few shells I had to discard but taste was right on point. Service was great.
I had the lobster pot pie, which was really good, and the roasted cauliflower, which was delicious! Clean and bright interior with friendly staff.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was great as well. Definitely recommend for some fresh lobster with a Midwest twist!
