Ambience felt contemporary and relaxed. Initially, felt like a good place for light dining and drinks after work. Dined after 7p, and it wasn't busy (thanks, in part to cold, snowy weather), so it was easy to carry conversation. Menu prices were reasonable, though food ordered missed the mark. Pasta really over cooked, Impossible burger bun was dense and mushy, and two orders of mac n' cheese were very inconsistent. Server was pleasant, but seemed in experienced -rarely cleared more than one empty plate or glass each of several times he stopped by. By the end of our course, table was cluttered. Furthermore, got the check well before finishing our meal. Might give Courier another try, but not a great experience the first time.
Loved the Denver Restaurant week menu - great value and incredible taste
Denver restaurant week. The food was just amazing from start to finish. We had no complaints. Wait staff was great. Ambiance was great.
Four of us dined here for the Restaurant Week special. We enjoyed the Johnny cakes and shrimp cocktail starter. The pasta was very bland, but the bread pudding fritters were awesome. Service was very slow, however, our server was very polite.
Pleasantly surprised with their Restaurant week menu. Everything was very good.
My husband, daughter and I went to courier after a Nuggets basketball game, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. My husband ordered off the Restaurant Week menu, and was very pleased with his 4-course dinner. My daughter and I ordered items from the regular menu, she had the butternut squash pasta and I had the ancient grain paella, and they were also delicious. The restaurant is located in the Hyatt hotel, with a relaxing ambiance and convenient parking. Highly recommend!
Service was very slow
Very good food, server nice but untrained—took some dirty dishes, didn’t come back for others, did not bring dessert cutlery, not attuned to spacing between courses. The place was maybe 1/2 full and there were other servers so shouldn’t have been overwhelmed. Just needs training.
Would definitely go back—food done well and at least server was nice and apologetic.
Service was extremely poor on Valentine’s Day. The food quality was average, but not nearly to the standard it should have been for the price point of the meal. We were also delivered our dessert in the middle of eating our entree and our reservation for two did not have a table ready when we got there even though there were several open tables. Our table was also set for four after waiting 10 minutes to be sat when there were only two of us.
The food was actually pretty good however it took three hours for three courses to be presented at our table. We chose the set valentine menu, so you would expect that you wouldn’t have to wait 45 minutes to an hour between courses. I don’t blame the waitress, but the kitchen obviously did not have enough staff or they were somehow impaired.
This restaurant was perfect for a business meeting to discuss an ongoing legal case.
The food and ambience were good but waiting for food for 45minutes is not easy to understand. When I asked when was food coming, the waitress said “this restaurant is a slow moving place”
Food and service was awesome. Definitely will go back again
We went for New Years Eve dinner. They were really running behind, the service was slow our reservation was at 1930 and we did not get to our table of 5 until 2030. From the appetizer list we had the spicy Brussels sprouts, the duck pot pie, the cucumber and shrimp and the carrot ginger soup. All of the appetizers were great, I especially enjoyed the carrot ginger soup. From the dinner menu I especially enjoyed that the impossible burger was an option since I am a vegetarian, the french fries are amazing, I may go back just for fries. They had run out of scallops for the risotto and substituted salmon, which was very dry. The duck was good and so was the pork belly. We did like the atmosphere and would definitely come again, despite the New Years Eve slowness.
Small restaurant with a market attached. Very casual and practical. Not special for special events.
Pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. Service attentive and friendly. Reasonable pricing. Will definitely be back.
The atmosphere and service here is top notch. However, we were here for lunch and were the only diners. The time for the food to be served seemed very long. The salad was way overdressed and the rest rest of the plate was meh. My lunch companion had soup and the grilled cheese and said they were good. While the descriptions of the food are fantastic, the taste seems to leave a little to be desired.
Great food and service! Our group meet here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by both the ambiance and creative and delicious food. Definitely give it a try.
Breakfast selection ok.
The food and service were outstanding. I would recommend Courier to anyone traveling to Denver.
I'm not sure how long courier. has been open and serving guests, but my date and I got the sense that it hasn't been long. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, even if service was a little clunky. I see a lot of potential as the staff finds their groove.
The restaurant was nearly empty at 5:00pm on a Friday, so we had the opportunity to appreciate the elegant and modern, yet warm design. The decor still stands out in my memory.
Our happy hour cocktails were creative and our meals were quite delicious. I thought the menu was curated very well; few but thoughtful and purposeful options. My date wanted more choices, but was ultimately beyond satisfied with his entree. Overall, the entire experience was a testament to quality over quantity.
My friend and I have been meeting at the Hyatt for several years (when it was Pub 17). We loved the salad bar that they used to have. New menu at Courier has some unusual selections. We had a difficult time trying to find something we liked. Service at noon was extremely slow.
I had made this reservation and wanted to keep it. We dined early, because we were still adjusting to time difference. We ordered 4 items, the mac and cheese, the shrimp cocktail, the margarita flat bread and the stroganoff. All items were consumable, the flatbread was the most enjoyable. The mac and cheese had a strong flavor...maybe mustard? It was green (gnocci) and kind of looked like bugs. I like weird food, but this was not yummy. Just weird. They shrimp had almost no flavor, and there were only 3. Very pricey meal for what was like snack food, and food took forever as well. So hungry, disappointed and then impatient for the food to come out. Not a good combo. Maybe just bad choices. But that's my two cents.
Nice option to have if you are staying at the Hyatt and don't want to venture out in the streets. The server was very attentive.
The food and service here are amazing. One of the very best meals I have had in awhile.
Meh...sums it up. Prior reviews said it didn’t seem like hotel restaurant which isn’t the case - pretty average all around. There were only 3-4 tables and our second cocktails came at the end of dinner long after they were ordered. We didn’t get charged but that doesn’t really solve the issue. Steer clear of the mushroom soup - thick and gloopy and overwhelmingly fatty then they put more oil of some kind on top - too bad because it had a good flavor.
Wonderful upbeat place with delicious creative dishes. Server Kimberly was enthusiastic and knowlegable. Chef Bree is amazing! Sampled various dishes and loved them all!
Great place. Only been open for a few months, but definitely a restaurant to check out before the word gets out. This is cuisine done right! The Gnocchi Mac and Cheese was amazing! Almost addictive!
I had breakfast with two colleagues at the newly-opened Courier restaurant and it exceeded my expectations. Courier was recommended to me from a friend who had recently stayed at the Grand Hyatt Denver. There were quite a few healthy options, which I appreciated (Greek egg white omelet, parfait, etc) and I chose the Umami bowl - quinoa, miso broth, scallions and I substituted the tofu for scrambled eggs. It was light and flavorful! My colleagues had the waffled biscuit and gravy and the chilaquiles - both looked fantastic and they spoke highly of the dishes. The restaurant was busy for breakfast but our service was prompt and attentive. I can’t wait to come back for drinks at the bar!
Great restaurant! We live in the area and were waiting for the new restaurant to open. The food was really good and the cocktails were tasty. It was definitely not what you expect from a hotel restaurant. We will be back.
