    It was the day after Christmas ... so the place was relatively empty ... the service was quirky yet attentive ... food good ... happy that the branzino was a filet versus the traditional whole fish serving...fried chicken was delicious...underwhelmed by the pear crisp...

    Tables are too close. I was practically sitting in the laps of the diners at the next table. Uncomfortable dining experience.

    I thought the overall experience was ok. I felt rushed by the staff, as I suppose we were dining on the later side of the evening. I would recommend the restaurant to not allow reservations later at night if they are planning to close. I had no idea our reservations were cutting close to their closing time. My server was only short of being rude, and our check among 4 people was well over $300. It was embarrassing to me as I made the arrangements. I will think twice before booking again.

    Our waiter was excellent but the food was average!!! We ordered the fried chicken and when it came out we were wondering if they forgot the rest of the chicken in the kitchen!!! It was literally one piece of Chicken Breast for $25!!!! Seriously!!! I know it's Manhattan prices but at least put another piece of chicken!!!

    Loved the menu and the food. County is one of the few restaurants with grown-up ambiance where you can have a conversation. I always enjoy me meals here.

    Although the reviews were very good, my friends and I had a mediocre experience here. Service was good, the atmosphere was as well, but the food disappointed from the greasy fried chicken to the bland cauliflower soup.

    The bartender and specialty drinks are great with the usual wait required of craft cocktails. The food is delicious, once it arrives. We had to ask the manager if we should just go somewhere else for dinner after waiting 90 minutes between apps and main meal. The place wasn't busy. The servers' attitude insufferable. Worst, once management knew we were waiting too long, they waited until WAY after we paid the bill to ask what happened. "Here's your free glass of wine" or something else to apologize would have saved them from this negative review. One has to assume they don't care.

    Met a friend for an early after work dinner. Place was nearly empty. We were given a small table gear the bar service area but it didn't seem worth asking to be reseated. Wine list has some reasonably priced bottles but not extensive. First course salad w shrimp quite good. Short ribs ok. Friends fried chicken was reportedly really good. By the time we left place was pretty packed If you're looking for a quiet chat go early.
