Please don't hesitate to walk-in. Waits aren't long and definitely worthwhile.
Bar seating and ledge-leaning is the rule of thumb -- think Paris tabac or the zinc -- the heat of local life, crowded with regulars at the counter waiting for their vin rouge. Here you'll find our Cave à Manger, an eclectic curation of wines by the glass offered with a menu of small plated savory delicacies created for this tasting smorgasbord. More than an amuse-bouche, less than a serving. Range, variety, exploration and discovery are the point.
The food and wine were amazing! They could do with a hostess to coordinate the reservations as they come in.
Have been here many times before. Love both the food and the ambiance.
Service - excellent, atmosphere - excellent, wine - excellent, food - absolutely terrible. Dishes were inedible!!!!
This was our first visit -- what a find! It's a bit hard to locate at the resort, but the front desk guided us over. Once inside, it's a small place with bar seating and great tapas and wine. We shared about 4-5 plates and 3-4 wines. The staff was awesome. All the food was great and nicely plated and sized for sharing. Definitely would recommend reservations due to the size. The cost was very reasonable. Give it a shot, you won't be sorry!
Everything about this experience was great. Even the music was great! Bartender/server Elisse was fantastic!
Counter Reformation is a lot of fun, reasonably-priced, and staffed by delightful and attentive professionals. I'd been there a few days before, and I liked it so much that I quickly returned with my wife, who agreed that this is THE spot for a nice wine and small plate. Very interesting menu - limited enough to be creative, fresh, and savory, but sufficient enough that everyone can find something to enjoy. The plates are small, but the flavors are rich and robust.
Counter Reformation is a fun, quirky little European style wine bar with sufficient wine and snack offerings for "just the right amount" of libations and tastes. There is an authentic and genteel feel about the place that is, as it self-describes, familiar to the Tabac or Cave-like neighborhood finds in Paris or similar cities.
Only went for drinks. Couldn't submit this review without putting something in the "food" category. Wine selection is terrific and moderately priced. The servers are friendly and gave great advice when asking about different wine choices. Had a pleasant "speak easy" atmosphere.
Very loud and crowded. Must have reservations which we did. Really packed in at the bar. Interesting crowd and atmosphere. I thought it was going to be a more romantic atmosphere. Once I adjusted to the noise and crowd we were fine. We would stop in again.
This was one of the most amazing dinners I’ve had in a long time. I almost don’t want to write a good review to keep it a secret! The food was outstanding. The carpaccio, caviar and mushrooms were amazing, but the fois macaroons you must have with a glass of bubbles, trust me, they were one of the most Andi g things I’ve ever eaten. You won’t want to miss this place!
