We made the reservation through open table, even gave our credit card. Got no confirmation card. When we arrived at the restaurant it was close. Open table, you should take them off of your list of restaurants and not require a credit card for confirmation on a restaurant that is close.
The restaurant was closed. I guess they went out of business, probably should update the website
the place was closed even I had your confirmation!!!!!
Arrived to find the restaurant had permanently closed a week earlier. My reservation had been made 1 day before arrival, so the restaurant is continuing to accept reservations (with a credit card number) even after closing.
Made a reservation over open table and received a confirmation email. Got there and the restaurant was permanently closed.
A little too pricey for what you’re getting, but still delicious and a uniquely amazing experience.
I picked this place as I heard great things about it. I was extremely disappointed. The wait staff was not very friendly, the food was not very creative, we did the 7 course menu and I left hungry and still spent almost $300, the wine pairings did not make sense and did not have much context, sometimes wine came out way before the food.
Loved it. Wonderfully curated menu and wine pairings. Culinary team was on point. Will be coming back the next time we’re in town! Thank y
Loved the food and ambiance. Will definitely return!
Warm raw oysters. Cold grilled 🍤. Not sure how this place stays open given small crowd on a Saturday night and the bland food/bad quality control.
Presentation, ambiance, and seating was the only thing that was good. Food was not spectacular. Pork was over cooked and tough. For the price I paid, I expected better food. The watermelon in the salad was old, like it sat out for a few days. I was very disappointed. Dessert was the only good thing about the food.
This place is simply put a gem in Austin. The creativity of the food, the personable staff, the chef’s complex dishes with layers of flavors and imagination... they are hands down my favorite spot in Town
Excellent. The wine pairing was the perfect touch! We love this place.
The only thing that I think could have some improvement was the wine pairing.
To be honest I was skeptical at first but after reading all reviews at Open Table, I figured it’s worth a try to experience a very unique place to enjoy some 7-course meal all prepared exquisitely by the Chef himself in front of us. And it didn’t disappoint. Hubby and I celebrated our 33rd Wedding Anniversary in this popular and exceptional restaurant last night and we don’t have enough words to express our satisfaction. And the wine pairings by Ashley, it’s phenomenal. Thank y’all. It was a very delightful night with such an amazing experience starting from the receptionist up to servers and wine specialist and most of all the Chef and his crew staff. Each and every menu is created with outstanding skill and is very flavorful. One of the most memorable Wedding Anniversary we’ve ever had. We are so proud to recommend them to other friends and families. We’ll surely come back. Thanks for making our special day so SPECIAL!!! We will never forget ...

When food is the reason for the gathering, this is my favorite place to gather. Each dish shows respect for the ingredients and not too-much respect for culinary conventions.
Went for birthday dinner. The experience was totally delightful. We sat at the counter to have the Tasting Menu (7 little courses). We asked for gluten free and dairy free for myself, and there were only two small adjustments to the seven courses served to make those accommodations. The cuisine is using very little gluten and just a small amount of dairy. We saw vegetable additions to some dishes for vegans who were eating near us. They wery satisfying ideas to replace a meat component. This is fine dining that is creative, delicious and cleverly presented. Service is friendly and well informed.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had. My wife was treated incredibly well for her birthday and the staff went out of their way to make her feel special. Amazing.
Food So good you cant wait for the next course. You will want to take a picture of every single dish.
Wonderful food and service as always! Favorite restaurant in Austin
Very unique concept. We like it. Wines are simply bad, but the food is great. Don’t do the wine paring.... night
Absolutely the best dining experience in Austin! We love yall!!!
Went there with my wife for her Birthday. Chefs and staff were awesome! Food was fun and tasty. Would go back again for sure.
Loved being right where the action is! Watching the chef's plate while answering questions, such a unique experience. Fantastic!!
The service was horrible and the food was better than average. Sadly, while I’d love to eat from the a la crate menu again, I won’t return because of the time we spent waiting to be served at every point of the dinner.
Eaten at top restaurants across the country. This one ranks right up there in chef’s ability to create a unique and diverse menu and execute beautiful, complex, and layered flavors. This was complemented by a great pastry program with desserts that were subtle, complex and delicious. And you can’t beat the counter side interaction w the kitchen. Michelin should find a star for these folks.
The seven-course meal was exquisite and beyond reproach on any front. The music, though, didn't fit the ambience, and the servers had to shout over it to explain our dishes and wine, sometimes not being able to be heard. The lone server on the exterior of the kitchen was extremely overworked, and responded only "it will take 10 minutes" when a cup of coffee was asked for. Still, a memorable experience.
Excellent meal, staff, and wine. I recommend this restaurant for special occasions and celebrations.
We sat at the counter for the 7 course tasting menu and could not have been happier with the experience. The food was fantastic, as was the service. Talking to the cooks was also great fun - we were able to ask questions about the preparations, some of the ingredients, where else to dine, and much more about Life in Austin. This meal was a highlight of our trip and we'd go there again in a heartbeat.
Amazing experience. We went for our anniversary and couldn’t have had a better experience. We got to speak with the chef(s) the entire time and love being able to watch the whole process take place in front of us. Highly recommended!
Not only was the food absolutely fantastic, but the staff was full of amazing people. We stayed almost an hour after dining, simply to chat and have a blast.
Absolutely Amazing. My new favorite spot!
Wonderful food and great service as always!
Everything was amazing! Tremendous layers of flavor. Great wine pairing. Highly recommend.
Food is incredible but not sure it’s worth the $100+ per person price tag
Recommended by friends as a fun and interesting experience, it was all that and more.
Fantastic food, what an experience for a tasting menu, personalized attention, we just loved how laid back and casual the chefs were throughout our meal. We really felt we were part of the creation process and loved the outcome. Highly recommend, one of my favorite tasting experiences in Austin!
Awesome! Imaginative menu with full flavors. Highly recommended for a special evening.
Amazing! Great food, staff, and wine!
Service was overbearing. No chance to enjoy each course
