   Food is definitely not as refined as before. Small menu with many options “out” which didn’t leave much to choose from. I loved this placed when we first tried it years ago but it wasn’t the same… and not in a great way. It was still good food but just not great.

   Chez Tex was great! I went with a group of 10 and we were the only people there. We couldn’t figure out why because the food was great! It was nice and quiet for our big group which was great. The food is slightly expensive but it’s still good. I would definitely go back

    We came in with my wife at around 6pm and right away the waitress was very attentive and started talking about the food and wine with so much knowledge and pretty much told us what eat and drink. I didn't have time to take more pictures but took a couple. The wine selection is out of this world and the food some of the best I've had in Venice. Thank you and will see you very soon.

    Chez Tex was a dream! I had a large group coming for a birthday dinner for my wife and they were super helpful and welcoming. We had a great time, ate fantastic food, and it was all reasonably priced! Can't recommend this place enough

    Blueberries pancakes are FIREEE that syrup tho. Had an awakening w the chicken sandwich. I realized I like non-spicy chicken sandwiches too. Perhaps… even more. Here’s to 2022. We out here realizing things.

    I was a bit disappointed with the ambiance. The restaurant is smaller than I'd anticipated. We were glad to have a table at the front overlooking the street. The lunch menu wasn't very extensive but we were happy with what we ordered. We happened to strike up a conversation with the diners at the next table and they raved about their food.     The food and service from Sam was amazing! We were a little confused at first as we've walked past this place alot and have wanted to stop by for dinner. We hadn't looked at the menu and assumed it was some kind of boujis Tex Mex. It wasn't! The vegan tacos and the chicken were incredible, and we wanted the risotto but it was sold out. Looking forward to going back, and excited for some updates to the menu, maybe another taco option! Hopefully all the staff are as attentive and friendly as Sam, he was great.

    First time coming here, but definitely won’t be the last! The food was AMAZING! My server Elias was so friendly and helpful. I had a glass of white wine off his recommendation and it was terrific. This place is truly a hidden gem! Can’t believe I’ve been in the Venice area this long before discovering it.     Going to Chez Tex was my best idea of the week. The food was phenomenal. The wine was spectacular. I was so pleased. Max (the cute one) and Sam served my sister and me through this memorable meal. We had the squash, beet salad, steak and chocolates all to share and what a treat! Highly recommend!

    Cute atmosphere. Food is tasty but overpriced for what you get. Scallops and sausage meals were delicious. The cheese plates looked really good but we didn’t try that one. Don’t bother with the crème brûlée they make it burnt and too hard on the shell part.

    Despite the fact the outdoor dining is on the sidewalk of Main Street, so there's lots of street traffic and people walking their dogs past tables, a pleasant atmosphere. An interesting, plant forward menu, especially in the starters, although there is definitely meat items as well. To start three of us share 3 starters: zucchini fritters, charred cabbage, and a Mediterranean chickpea salad. All three are excellent. My crispy chicken sandwich with fries was excellent as well but is $20. Even though that feels pricey we've noticed that prices have overall jumped since restaurants have reopened after the pandemic. The prices here are completely in line with other comparable local restaurants. Alcohol is limited to beer and wine and prosecco cocktails.

    We were ignored most of the meal, our food took forever, the descriptions were misleading (chicken paillared is breaded, im gluten free). Had to send that back and ordered the steak salad where I said Im gluten free and could not have the deep fried onions. Got the dish when everyone was done eating and it came with the onions on it…ate the steak on top just because I was starving and left the salad. Then they charged us for everything and didn’t compensate for any of the mistakes. They even took our CC’s and didn’t show us the full bill. Only showed it to us split in two. We sat down at 7:15 and left at 10:15 to show you how slow it was.
