Great service and music
The service we recieved from our Maria was great!!👍
This was our first time at Cottonwood Kitchen. I think we have to give them a 2nd chance, because it was not the best experience. I ordered the seafood rolled enchiladas, which were really good and filled with lots of crab and shrimp. So far so good. My wife ordered the steak frittes (sliced pieces of steak). The steak tasted good, but it was cold when the server brought it to our table. We asked for it to be reheated. She came back promptly with the steak pieces now warm, but they failed to realize that the original order was for the steak to be cooked medium, and upon reheating the steaks they went from medium to very well done, to the point that they were dry. My wife unfortunately couldn't eat it and enjoy a good piece of meat. Two failures here: the kitchen should have realized that they just overcooked a very good piece of medium steak; and the server should have also noticed that the original order called for medium, not well done, and should have taken it back to the kitchen for a new fresh order. I think we will give them a 2nd chance, but they better perform next time!
Astonishingly poor food at an astonishingly high price. We live in Santa Fe and this restaurant will be unstable to compete here.
The wait staff, Jenna in particular were great!
There were 12 of us and she kept us all in line and remembered all our needs.
Perhaps they could have some alcohol education. I asked for Brandy and was told there was none, and when I asked about cognac I got it. I know they are different but the server should have suggested cognac
Went during Restaurant Week. Food was delicious and table server was great. Bar service was slow but drinks were good.
I'd recommend Cottonwood Kitchen, with a caveat. The music from the singer/guitarist in the bar area of the restaurant was extremely loud. We asked to be moved from where our original seats would be in order to escape the noise. Even far away from that area, the music was much, much too loud for comfortable conversation. I'd go back because the food was delicious and the service excellent. But I'd go at a time when the music was NOT playing at all.
Busy Friday night during restaurant week. Reservations recommended on a weekend night. Seated by gracious staff and were taken care of. Our wives salads came at same time the husbands entrees came. Wives entrees took another 20 minutes to arrive and by that time the husbands meals were complete. A bit of a disconnect in the kitchen and with the server. Donovan certainly tried his best to keep us informed, but unfortunately he was caught in the disconnect. I would still go back in a heartbeat as the ambience and the food was superb. Lounge music in the area was also nice. Have to expect things like this on busy, busy nights. We will be returning!!
Great food and service. It was a nice place for a meal after gambling. The pork BBQ was delicious as was the fish and chips. My friend enjoyed the Prime Rib. It was cooked perfectly!
Absence of the smoke walking through the Casino to get there it's a good restaurant. Nice wait staff and good food. Can't wait for the patio to open in the spring!
Evan the wait staff complained about the loud entertainment
Our family were very impressed with everything. I would recommend this place to everyone I know. Excellent service 👍
I've been to some upscale restaurants in casinos - Wendells at Inn of the Mountain Gods comes to mind - which is very nice and upstairs from the din and smoke of the casino. I thought Cottonwood Kitchen was going to be on that same level and it's just a notch down. Although there is no din from the casino - the games are all electronic with no bells or clanking or sirens, it still smelled of cigarette smoke. We had quite a lengthy wait for our food - ~30 minutes. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable, but I thought the compulsory sales pitch for the casino card was unnecessary. I enjoyed the live music. I ordered the beignets for dessert, but they turned out to be nothing more than cake donut holes. I would eat here if I was gambling at the casino (it is probably the only restaurant on site?) but I wouldn't make the drive otherwise.
We were very impressed with the menu and the surprise social hour discount on a Saturday evening! Wait staff is very professional, music is excellent, ambience is great. And the smoke level is quite reduced considering this is in a casino. We would highly recommend this as a high-end restaurant for family and friends!
The meals I have had at Cottonwood Kitchen have been well above par. In January I enjoyed a Prime Rib prepared perfectly and served with delicious side dishes. Service was exceptional. I have also enjoyed several other menu items and find the Tesuque Casino and Cottonwood Kitchen to be moderately priced and a great value.
Food was great, especially the $7.77 prime rib. Service was good even though they were very busy.
Entertainment was excellent, food presentation is great especially on the white dinner platters.
