   We had a superb meal at Cotto and were delighted by the whole experience. The food was superb and the wine delicious. The food seemed great value but the wine a bit pricey - but overall highly recommended!

   I used to love cotto and the owners are lovely. But tonight we were very disappointed. We were taken out the back even though there were tables available in the main areas. We were sat on our own with no atmosphere. There’s Only one vegetarian choice for both starter and main which is very poor for any restaurant let alone an Italian ! which my husband found watery, tasteless and disappointing. The wine is lovely but priced at £35 for a pecorino is very inflated in price, it should be half that! The swordfish starter and chicken main were overly seasoned in fact too salty and not particularly tasty. The prices are too inflated especially for the quality of food, the food should be exceptional for the prices charged! Service was slow and the music and accoutistics in the inside/outside area were too loud and I had to ask the music to be turned when it got busy. Card only option to pay is infuriating as there should be a cash option. All in all it was disappointing, over priced, under whelming and I have cancelled my next booking and not sure I’d hurry back. This is a real shame as we have had mainly lovely evenings there and hope that they will take on board our honest feedback.

   Our meal was delicious! Fish cooked perfectly, rest of dish lovely and dessert, scrumptious! Staff friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

   Friendly attentive staff. We were sat at the back of the restaurant which was draughty and noisy , which was a shame. Unfortunately all of our meals were incredibly salty with one meal being inedible. We didn’t pay for that meal . I wouldn’t rush back.

    So disappointed with the service, waited far too long to get the first order of drinks in and drinks that followed. We were never asked if we needed anything. Kept trying to get eye contact with servers but felt like they were just trying to avoid us. Food looked amazing, beautifully presented but wasn't matched by the flavour. Chef was really friendly and in the end came over to check we had everything, as we were missing plates. Felt like the order was missing more plates but I was so hungry I didn't want to wait to ask the question. My chair had a wonky leg, but the setting is truly beautiful. Such shame, as this hasn't been my experience before here. Menu could do with some green options too. oh and to finish off the night, my friend ordered a hot chocolate to warm up, it was luke warm at best and tasted like it was made by a hotel packet freebie. Lemonchello was good though but shot glass was half full!

    Really lovely meal at Cotto last night. Friendly, welcoming and efficient staff in what is a cosy and traditional trattoria. Between the four of us, we can pretty much recommend everything on the menu but particular mention to the fillet steak in parma ham starter and scallop risotto. Yum!

    Cotto never disappoints! It's my families fave restaurant for pizza (and other Italian food too!). My 7yo chooses here over any other italian including the chain ones. The pizzas are simply the best we've ever had anywhere in the world! Even leftovers cold the next day are lovely! I urge you to try them for yourselves you won't be disappointed! Staff are lovely and attentive, the ambience and decor is lovely and their cocktails are so good!

    Arrived for valentines meal. Was centred less than half a metre from both tables either side of us. Ordered a starter of calamari (insanely over cooked) then the sausage gnocchi (extremely stodgy). Served a luke warm beer and a pornstar martini. Staff were lovely and took off the £16 for the calamari. However, the meal still equated to £100 just for gnocchi, one beer and a pornstar martini. We didn’t question it as we just wanted to leave but this definitely was not worth the price.

    Absolutely love this authentic, cosy Sardinian restaurant. The cooking is superb and would highly recommend the truffle arancini. My husband had the lamb leg & fregola sarda and hasn't stopped talking about it yet. They also offer a good selection of gluten free options with offers to adapt existing dishes, which is a real boon and quite rare. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming and its awe-inspiring to watch the chefs cooking behind the counter. Cannot praise this place highly enough.

    The menu was poor for new years, there wasnt much choice for veggies unless you wanted a pizza or a pesto pasta which was not great. The staff were lovely, food came out quick, but overall was disappointing and overpriced. We have been before and loved it last time but just wasnt as great this time.
