   I am totaling disgusted. My husband and I had a reservation for dinner with another couple tonight. We drove from New Jersey. When we arrived, there was a note on the door that the restaurant was closed due to electrical problems until 9/4. Why weren’t we notified?? This is a disgrace!! We ended up having to come up with another place to have dinner which wasn’t easier last minute on a Sat. night.

   We believed media reports that this place was good. the restaurant was loud and crowded, tables are too close together, food was just ok. there were many things wrong with this experience. 1) we waited for about 10 min for someone to come to the table, waited for water/bread for another 5 min. 2) bread was stale and they seem annoyed when I asked for butter 3) there is a $10 sharing charge for entrees. this is in poor taste. 4) restaurant has a policy of no substitutions for meals, again poor taste and shows the restaurant does not care about the perferences of their customers. 5) we were told that we had to order both our appetizers and entrees even though we asked for more time. 6) waiter was mostly absent throughout our meal 7) wait staff in general seem harried, unorganized and unable to handle their tables.

   We have eaten at Cotoletta many many times and have always enjoyed it. Friday night our experience was not the same. Their air conditioner does not work efficiently so the had a few fans running. It was hard to enjoy our meals with sweet dripping down our face. Everyone was sweating from the customers to the servers. I will wait for the fall to return.

   They forgot to serve the appetizer. They also kept us waiting a long time before asking us if we wanted dessert or coffee after they cleared the table.

   First time going there. Very good food. A bit pricey but we had a fun night out with friends there!

   This is a very special place with great food and great service. They’ve got it down just right. Also, they are really good at handling pushy, main line types who want everything their way and immediately. It’s a worthy successor to the old Lanni’s from back in the day.

   Wouldn't recommend it because of the noise level that got in the way of any decent conversation chances. Yours may be the loudest restaurant I have been in. I realize it is difficult for management to deal with this in a small place, but a large crowd of 8 and a smaller group of 4 near our table were over the top loud and intrusive to the other guests. To make matters worse some chose to wander around having standing conversations with someone they knew near our table. Food is great. Ear thumping noise not so much. We'll try the Coteletta in the city.

    Dinner was a good experience...the artichoke apetizer was superb, the branzini and cutlet specials were exceptional. The only issue was the mussel appetizer which were poorly prepared..
