Great food ..great people have had dinner here 10 times ... great place ...
This is a very special place with great food and great service. They’ve got it down just right. Also, they are really good at handling pushy, main line types who want everything their way and immediately. It’s a worthy successor to the old Lanni’s from back in the day.
Wouldn't recommend it because of the noise level that got in the way of any decent conversation chances. Yours may be the loudest restaurant I have been in. I realize it is difficult for management to deal with this in a small place, but a large crowd of 8 and a smaller group of 4 near our table were over the top loud and intrusive to the other guests. To make matters worse some chose to wander around having standing conversations with someone they knew near our table. Food is great. Ear thumping noise not so much. We'll try the Coteletta in the city.
Dinner was a good experience...the artichoke apetizer was superb, the branzini and cutlet specials were exceptional. The only issue was the mussel appetizer which were poorly prepared..
This was my first time at the restaurant and while the food overall was very good I did not get the impression that the restaurant does not care much about its customers. The AC broke at least a few hours before we arrived and nobody at the restaurant tried to reach me. I had made a reservation a few weeks before. So we found out upon our arrival. Reluctantly we stayed although it was pretty warm when we sat down. Not surprising at all since it was very hot and humid outside, I’m sure in the 90’s. My friend wanted to stay and I wanted to leave but since she was visiting from out of town so I decided to stay. The server was very attentive however it got warmer and warmer as the evening went on and became unbearable so we rushed through our meal. When we finished eating the server asked if we wanted dessert. He said , “ we have sorbet and other things”. We could not believe that we were not even offered a dish of sorbet or some other dessert on the house. Bad business. It would have been one thing if they were courteous enough to call me when the AC broke and we decided to still go knowing the situation but to tell us the AC was broken oupon our arrival was not nice and inconsiderate. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back which is a shame as the food was very good. In situations l Ike this , classy restaurants do a little something nice for their customers. What would a dish of sorbet cost the restaurant for 2 people. $1? In fact, they should have given every customer who dined with them that night a dish of sorbet or something else on the house. It would have been a lovely and thoughtful gesture and would not have cost the restaurant a lot.
Amazing, attentive, accommodating service. Fresh, delicious food—generous portions, and we still cleaned our plates!! Atmosphere chill, cozy and unpretentious.
Great food and service as always!
They stopped taking credit cards, Why? I'm not sure why they changed their policy, but it is an inconvenience.
Excellent meal and service. Enough food for at least one more meal.
I live up the street from the restaurant yet this was my first time visiting. It won’t be my last. The ambiance was relaxed. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. I had the Veal Oscar and it was perfectly prepared. My husband had the Chicken Parmesan cutlet. I tried a bite and it was moist, tender and delicious. We will be making this a regular date night location.
We had a wonderful time connecting with friends.....They do not rush you so we had plenty of time to enjoy our food and still linger over a glass of wine. I can not recall what it is called but, we shared the most amazing pasta appetizer I have ever had ( and I am not a pasta nor cheese person). Made to order with a special cheese and cracked pepper - their signature dish and worth trying.
What a great restaurant. Authentic Italian food. We loved everything we had. The cacio pepe pasta is the best & a must is the cotoletta stack! Our server was excellent. Can’t wait to go back.
I love this restaurant. I have been there several times. The food is ridiculously good. The first few times I went with my husband and it was amazing! This past Saturday, I took relatives visiting me from out of town. They were raving about the food. They said it was the best veal cutlet they had ever had. They also said that the appetizer of pasta rolled in the huge parmesan wheel with freshly ground pepper is out of this world. They asked when they could visit me again so we can go to Cotoletta again. I would recommend highly!!!
Excellent spot tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. The long hots were excellent and the veal was perfect.
It was outstanding once again. Can’t wait to try their new place downtown
This is a new favorite find for us. The food was delicious. It is rather loud! But busy! And busy still when we left around 10 pm. Fun.
Excellent service, excellent food. Loved the cheese wheel pasta appetizer. Dining room was a little too noisy.
Food was great, place was busy and they were down one server. So service was a bit slow. Will definitely come back.
We have eaten dinner there 3 times in the last 6 weeks....never disappoints
We were charged 5.00 for our pasta that should have come with our Veal and then we were charged 1.00 for sauce because I wanted the sauce on the side. Will not be back don’t need to spend 25.00 for just a veal and nothing else
Excellent meal! Loved the Stack and veal milanese. There cutlets are the best.
second tome there in 3 days, definitely a go to place for food & service
Everything was just delicious. Service was great. Relaxed atmosphere, attentive staff.
Excellent wait staff they are very attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient. Veal chop Parma and Milanese are outstanding. Try the pastas as appetizers - all were great. Can’t wait to go back.
I was there twice in one week and found the service very attentive. During the second dinner the owner/chef came to our table and chatted with us. The food on both of my visits were different entrees and starters. Both were delicious. I had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo on my first visit. excellent sauce and the pasta came out nice and hot which I am a stickler for. On the second visit I had one of their classic dishes, Veal Milanese. I rarely eat veal but this was cooked, seasoned and breaded perfectly.
We've been to Cotoletta several times and have always loved the food. However, we particularly enjoyed this visit on a more mellow Sunday evening. Weekend nights are understandably jam-packed and it was a nice change to dine in a quieter, more-relaxed atmosphere. In any event, we love Cotoletta on any evening and highly recommend it. Delicious cutlets, as the name would suggest, and they always have appealing special additions to the menu.
Wonderful meal. Matt, our server, was friendly and attentive.
We arrived around 6:30 pm on Saturday night so restaurant wasn't full, but by the time we left it was packed and the noise level was pretty high. However, we could still have a conversation. Will return.
Terrible service. My reservation was at 7:15 and we didn’t get our appetizers until 8:30 and then our main course at 9:15. Wasn’t even worth the wait. Terrible service mediocre food. Would not recommend
I was very happy with this lovely little BYOB in Belmont Hills. I had the Veal Milanese with a side of pasta. My mom had Veal Marsala with a side of Broccoli Rabe and both were excellent. I had the ice cream balls for dessert and my mom had cannolis, also excellent.
Nice atmosphere, friendly servers and good food!
Had reservation waited for and extra 40 minuets, food outstanding will never go back on a Saturday night.
They rush us out because ppl where waiting 4 times a asked if we had finished big turn for!
Cotoletta never disappoints us. Great service and wonderful food. I took my two boys (11 and 8) who love the pasta made in the cheese wheal and the waiter demonstrated how they make it. Last night the veal Milanese was especially good.
The best hidden gem in the Philly area! From the ambiance to the food, this was an amazing experience!!
Food is great. However I asked for the veggies from one fish special to replace the veggies on the other fish special and they said no. It seemed a simple enough request. I was disappointed at the lack of flexibility.
Consistently excellent food. Rather noisy and lacks atmosphere, but is well worth the outstanding cuisine.
Amazing!! We will definitely be returning!! Cutlets were amazing!
It was great as usual. We live in Pittsburgh and come here when visiting our son. Been here 4 times in the past year. Love it!. Veal and chicken dishes are delicious and desserts unbelievable
Great restaurant off the beaten path. Food and service are outstanding.
