Cotenna offers a fine selection of wine to pair with its menu. Its simple but casual ambiance makes it an ideal pick for everything, from a mid-week business lunch, to a group outing with friends. Open until midnight during the week, and 1 a.m. over the weekend, this restaurant is also an appealing choice for late night dining. Cotenna is open all week.
Cotenna is a great place to get dinner and is especially a great date spot.
Classic Italian, delicious, and not too crowded on a Sunday at dinnertime.
Had a great time! Great food and they easily accommodated (8)
Cotenna (and its sister locations) have survived the pandemic, by paring down their offerings of food and drink considerably. The menu is still diverse, with changing specials. It's hard to beat (or equal) their price-value ratio. There are many more tables now both out on the sidewalk and across the street in a second restaurant space, so reservations are easy to get.
My favorite amazing get the black truffle gnocchi!!!!!!!
NOT a Michelin Bib worthy restaurant any longer.
Food is mediocre Italian fair. Nothing special.
Service was overwhelmed but also charmless.
Limited attention paid to Covid safety.
Absolutely terrible service. Would not go back.
Hands down my favorite pasta place in NYC!! Amazing food, ambiance, and service.
Great dinners. Smaller portions but great service
Had a reservation at cotenna - ended up getting seated across the road at a different restaurant after an hour wait. Multiple people with reservations had similar experience
Took forever to come take our orders, and then kicked us out before we were done because they had another party with a reservation coming in.
Appetizers were great, main courses were average to mediocre at best.
Wine was on point.
Host and waiter needed to work on their hospitality skills.
Warm service, intimate environment (while practicing social distancing), delicious food - lamb chops cooked perfectly, pastas were simple (rigatoni, gnocchi, orecchiette) and well executed. Lights could be a touch dimmer.
They overbooked the restaurant and pushed us from an 8 PM reservation to 930. We ended up leaving
The best night ever!! The hostess was the most accommodating man and made my group of 10 feel like queens! Food and wine were delicious!
Loved the original, the concept was changed to a new restaurant, Aria and we weren’t informed. Very different ambiance, menu, service and standards than we were expecting.
Loved Cotenna, but I guess it’s no more.
Actually is now restaurant Aria across the street but same great food! Amazing pasta dishes and appetizers all very reasonably priced. Also, the outdoor seating was surprisingly very warm!
Server had his mask on his chin, which made us pretty uncomfortable.
Food was amazing, but appetizers and entrees arrived all together which was a disappointment.
Alex the Owner/Manager and his staff are so hospitable and friendly! And of course the food was incredible too. Lamb Chops, Shrimp Scampi, etc. One of my favorite places. Dog Friendly and Frenchie friendly as well :).
Cotenna does offer delivery in partnership with Postmates and Uber Eats.
