Our first visit to Cote was a memorable one. The Korean barbecue style of cooking on the grill at our table was really fun. Our servers were so great, personable and knowledgeable about all of the interesting dishes. The four of us had the butchers feast, which included several types of steak, cooked perfectly by our servers. The Korean side dishes and sauces accompanying the steak were so delicious. Cote really is a perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.

Butcher's feast was great. More than enough food. The Wagyu melted in my mouth. Server highly recommended/pressured us into appetizers but we definitely did not need it! The wedge salad was decadent and a little too heavy for us (three women).
I had friends visiting who come to NYC once a year and always expect a great restaurant experience from me. We agreed that this is now one of our favorite restaurants and can’t wait to return.

Good quality meat, attentive service and nice ambience.
We opt for the Steak Omakase (include filet mignon, ribeye, ribeyecap, hanger-steak, 150 days aged ribeye, american wagyu, A5 Japanese wagyu and galbi) and it was well worth it!
Meat cooked to your liking in front of you. We like medium rare and each piece was perfectly cooked, tasty, tender and juicy. The meal comes with side dishes (accompaniments) and dessert.
Highly recommend if you like meat.
Fabulous! A must do eating experience in NY. Great quality for the price and we always leave extremely full.
Food was great. Only negative was people at next table needed to “get a room” and made it somewhat uncomfortable for those on the side of the table facing them. Wish staff had asked them to cool it and be a bit more discreet.
Third time to this restaurant. It never disappoints! The meats are incredible and you don’t smell like BBQ’ed steaks afterwards. The ventilation system has been well thought out. The waitress who cook the meats for you at your table is putting on a show. The wine list is great. Nothing not to like except how long it takes to get a reservation. So much more fun than a traditional steak house. Sampling the different cuts make you appreciate the texture and the taste.

Not Michelin Star worthy.
It was all good (food and service) until they finished cooking and basically wanted us out of there. We had the butchers feast and for 4 people and it was very enjoyable during the cooking period.
I would have appreciated that the restaurant would just tell us they had another booking behind us or that there was a time limit. Rather than doing that, someone came over and just started clearing plates and took away my plate and utensils when I said I was still working on it. They came over once every 5min to ask to clear plates when there was still quite a bit of food on the table. Eventually we gave up and gave in. Then they gave us the bill and then took away the water.
Oh yeah, and don’t bother with the new bar downstairs unless you want to pay 20USD for a gin and tonic. Felt ripped off.

The steak omakase did not disappoint. Amazing selection of 8 different cuts of steak. Pricey but if you're celebrating something, you can't go wrong.
Truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. The servers were all knowledgeable and welcoming, the bartender made a mean drink, and the food was beyond compare. Thanks guys for the amazing night!
Be prepared to not be able to cook you meat on your own or maybe not how you like it. We were 3 ppl at our table and each of us like it cooked different ways. Our waitress got angry several times if we cooked it ourselves or moved it “without her permission”. If you are okay with that then this is the korean bbq for you. Otherwise good taste and value. You will definitely be very full after eating here.
This was the best Korean bbq I have ever experienced! The food was delicious. The service was great! The servers really know their stuff. I would only come back here if I were craving Korean bbq.

if I had one note for this place to consider, it would be the bathrooms -- they should be cleaned often or have an attendant there, as it's loaded with foot traffic and should be kept up!
It was a wonderful experience. We got the 125$ per person feast with the A5 Wagyu beef. I first thought that we were not going to have enough but it was plentiful. We had extra leftovers. There was 8 different kind of meats . Of course the A5 Wagyu was the best and tastiest of all . They saved the best for last . The cold noodle bowl was refreshing and tasty

It was my favorite meal of 2019. Great service, ambiance and delicious food. The butchers feast is so filling. You don't need to order more. Can't wait to get back again!
Server totally over sold us on food. We would have been fine with the inclusive meal option, but got another side based on her strong, persistent recommendation. All four of us agreed it was absolutely unnecessary.
Don’t know where the one Michelin star came from but it does not deserve it. There is no chef other than to make the salads. The waitress cooks for you and she burned our veggies. The meat was mediocre, not great. For the money, actually less, there are much better Korean BBQ places in NYC. Also, the table behind us was extremely intoxicated and rowdy and the establishment did nothing to ask them to quiet down, they just kept bringing them the Jack Daniels based drinks that they all ordered. One Michelin star restaurants are usually classier than this place. Go if you like but set the bar low for your experience.
First a steak house, then a Korean restaurant. The meat selection of Cote is by far the best out of any Korean barbecue restaurant- in fact, much better than most steak houses. The staff is knowledgeable and willing to suggest once they know your thoughts. Pricing is honest, yes the steaks are expensive but the side dishes are inclusive and so is water. Highly recommend.
bland food. cote is to korean food as benihana is to japanese. something that would make a person not interested in anything but unseasoned meat and a carb feel that they had an authentic foreign food experience.
Second visit. First timers probably get the Butchers Feast, but I recommend ordering a la carte. It is a little more expensive but you get the exact cuts you want and instead of unnecessary sides, you can splurge and get some A5 Wagyu.
It was amazing from beginning to end! Holiday friends dinner on Saturday, 12/8.
Service and meats were excellent. I just wish that other food groups were explained a little better as our table was not familiar with Korean dishes and did not know what we were trying.
