Restaurant was very loud with all the snowbirds talking at a very high decibel. Wish they could install some sound absorbing material. Service very slow but too busy for small staff! Food was very good except for the very dry Beef Bourguinon. I would not recommend going on a weekend. Usually Cote France is wonderful!
Best New Year’s Eve. Very romantic. Food was delicious. Ambiance perfect! We will return for sure.
Service was impeccable. It was a special New Years menu consisting of three courses.
Each course was amazing. First time there, will be back.
Only place we could get a reservation for New Years Eve. Didn't know it had a fixed price menu. Only had 3 choices for entree and was $89 per person. I liked my meal but my husband and son were not satisfied. We sat outside. Seating was uncomfortable. Sat on cement seat. Hard to enjoy when we were terribly uncomfortable. Th waiter was good and authentic French but will not return. Overpriced.
Tables do not space diners 6 feet apart despite the COVID regulations! My foie gras appetizer was good but it was a little too cold. Guess the food storage laws make them keep it that way, but at home I would give it an hour on the counter. The balsamic drizzle and apricot chutney were appropriate touches. My husband found the sauce in his escargots en croute overly rich and blah. Would be better without all that reduced cream and with more garlic. Our main courses were OK but not stars. We did not notice herb flavors in any of the dishes. His scallops were good but the sauce was very bland. My duck breast was cooked to medium rare perfection but my sauce was also too bland. For some reason they strewed untoasted sesame seeds all over it. Definitely added NOTHING to the flavor.
What a jewel to this area. Superb food and great service.
They forgot to bring my salad, I had to ask for the salad. Unless they are used to serving the salad after the main meal. When I asked for the salad it was brought to me.
Everything was top drawer. I would recommend it without a doubt.
Côté France is one of our absolute goto restaurants in Venice, FL. The food is outstanding and extremely authentic coming from someone who has lived in France for almost a decade.
The menu is quite small but changes frequently and the offerings I would classify as classic French cuisine. In addition, they feature "blackboard" wine specials that are very good at a very fair price.
Côté France is one of my favorite restaurants in the Sarasota area and I wish the owners much success.
We go to this restaurant for delicious food - just wonderful. I cook and we enjoy my preparations but the French flair is divine!! Thank you
Absolutely amazing restaurant. Super traditional French food in the best way possible, just like my grandmother would make. Very haute cuisine and technique that rivals some of the best restaurants in France. If you haven’t travelled to France, or even if you have, definitely try this authentic restaurant. Honestly one of the best places I’ve eaten at, and I will continue to return.
Chef made me an item not on the menu and presented it to me himself! It was steak tartare! I also was given a birthday dessert!
Wonderfully surprised at the restaurant. The owner / server went out of his way to make our experience delightful.
We will definitely go back.!
Excellent French bistro; love the lobster bisque
Great dinner at Cote France. Look forward to our next visit. Nice to have an authentic French restaurant in a town of Italian restaurants like Venice, Florida.
A very good, small bistro with unique dishes. A bit pricey.
It was just okay
Great find! Everything from appetizers to desserts was wonderful! Can’t wait to go backb
Customer service outstanding ,and ambience, location, and my server/owner Thomas ,excellent service very accommodating to my dietary needs, will
return again, thank you,
Thank you so much for your wonderfull review See you again soon Thomas
We thought that we were back in Paris! A most extraordinary and romantic dining experience with exemplary service. French onion soup, Boef Bourguignon, homemade tart, all as authentic as you would get in Paris. The wine selection was extraordinary. A “must” when you are in Venice Beach!
A very nice experience. Tried some new food , Frog Legs, and were very pleased with the dish. Prepared deliciously. Owner/ Server, Thomas, delightful and professional. Looking forward to going again and Often.
For sometime, this restaurant has achieved a high level of service, selection and quality, in a restrained but personable manner. Very good to outstanding in every respect. The panic virus limited the number of patrons unfairly, but assured great attention to our food and environment. Definitely a doo again.
We decided to have lunch here and it did not disappoint. We each had a glass of wine with our meal, and we ate off the lighter fare part of the menu, which was just enough. If you haven’t been to Cote France you should try it.
Nice country French food and well done on COVID distancing and masks.
Wonderful food, great wine, and very good customer service. Love the monthly wine paring.
Great experience, excellent food. Planning to return for their wine/food pairing night.
Outstanding food, service and ambiance!
We went for our 50th Anniversary Dinner. The restaurant staff was exceptionally pleasant. The food was phenomenal . I had the filet, my husband had the beef bourguignon. He had french onion soup . I had veggie terrine. Just awesome. We ended with profiteroles. This is our favorite restaurant in Venice, FL.
We celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary with friends. Best place we've been in quite a while.
The wine pairing was excellent. Cote France had the food and wine region pair, plus an explanation of the wine, which was excellent wine. Food was wonderful and we look forward to the next wine pairing event.
I had the pate which was delicious. My husband had the goat cheese salad which was perfectly dressed. The duck with mushroom was creamy, perfectly cooked and just plain awesome.
Had a reservation for 8:30. We we parking the car and saw them pulling in the sign and locking the door as we arrived at exactly 8:30. I doubt that we will ever go back.
We went on one of the first days they were open after the lockdown. They had a pretty diverse menu all things considered. I had lamb and it was excellent. We ate outside. It was very quiet and pleasant.
Service was attentive but not intrusive. We had a wonderful time.
Love the food. Very authentic.
We are continuing to try every dish on the menu; tonight did not disappoint. The bisque was delicious and the house salad with goat cheese was exceptional. We went on to have the pork chop special as well as the vegetable special, which were both wonderful. A bottle of Cotes du Rhône, and chocolate tarts completed the evening. Another wonderful experience!
Exquisitely prepared food and wonderful service! We'll be back.
We find this to be a genuine country French eating experience - the cuisine choices, the wines, the service and (for one of us) the setting. The main floor space is small (perhaps 10 tables?) but nicely spaced and not noisy (which, of course, may be due to a more elderly and sedate clientele!). Highly recommended.
Wonderful experience from beginning to end. The French onion soup was delicious, filet mignon was cooked to perfection, and the Coq au vin was the best we ever had. We enjoyed a bottle of Cotes du Rhône per our server’s recommendation, which paired perfectly with our meal. The flourless chocolate cake and profiteroles were a delicious ending to the meal. Excellent!
Authentic French cooking met all expectations. Reasonably priced and great service. Would recommend to anyone. Good desserts, too.
Returning customers!
We had a nice dinner. We ate in their upstairs dining room which overlooked the town of Venice.
