We had the rib eye and it was amazing. Our favorite restaurant in Venice for sure. The lava cake is amazing.
We sat upstairs. Whew it was hot. Food was ok. We were here one year ago. It was better then. Onion soup was chewy. Coq au vin was good. Beef bourgenone was tender.
Love the service and the food at this little corner restaurant.
Fantastic specials, great wine and a beautiful evening. We even signed up for their wine tasting dinner for May. Can’t wait!
Excellent food and nicely priced. Friendly and casual
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner, starting with their French onion soup. We both ordered beef entrées. They were well prepared, but for us, after the soup, were too much to finish. The suggested wine 🍷pairing, a 2016 Haut Medoc, was excellent!
Excellent little restaurant with great food and superb service.
A good find....
Perfect place for Sunday brunch sitting outside. Great menu with French and American favorites. Good quality and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend. Other menus for lunch and dinner look great too+
Food and beverage were cold
Thomas was the perfect waiter
They always have interesting wines on the Chalkboard
The kind and talented chef was gracious in letting us order coq au vin and boeuf bourguignon for brunch. It was deeply flavored and traditional, as you would hope coming from a man from Lyon. Good service, accommodating our strange desire for French fries. Wines also good. Would return and recommend for normal brunch and coffee specialties, which we saw being consumed around us.
Nice atmosphere. Food was very good and there was a nice wine selection.
Our party of three enjoyed a lovely sunset during our outdoor dinner. The service was exceptional despite one waiter covering all the outdoor tables. And each of us found their food to be really good. Very tasty and well-prepared. Two of us had the filet as poivre and one the scallops. The wine list was relatively short, but we found a lovely bottle and enjoyed it immensely. We highly recommend trying this restaurant. It was quite satisfying and reasonably priced.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience before our theatre that night. We have eaten there several times and always come away with a great experience. We will continue to dine there.
After the fifth luncheon I must say Tho’mas has a wonderful restaurant. We had four other friends with us and they raved about the food and value.
Enjoyed lunch at Cote France with a friend. Even ordered dessert, which I normally don’t do!
Excellent food, excellent wines. Personable, attentive service . What more can you ask for ?
Great food with excellent service although we waited forever to get the bill. Would go again.
This is a lovely small restaurant with small menu but fantastic food. The lamb is always fantastic. I had the beef this time and it was amazing and very tender. The desert are always great. You can smell the lava cakes when they are being made. Great little French Resturant.
Delicious appetizers and entrees. Service was very good and friendly. Strongly recommend this small restaurant. It is a true asset to the Island of Venice dining experience.
Every aspect was pleasant for a small space restaurant. Superb service. Tasty menu. I don’t drink alcohol, but I do like non-alcohol beer which they don’t offer. A cold Perrier sufficed nicely. The only disappointment was my wife’s red snapper apparently sat out for awhile and was cold. We didn’t complain-it can happen. In all, we really liked the restaurant.
Very nice experience. Food was wonderful- real country French cuisine. Thomas the owner was also our waiter. Very friendly place with great food. 😊
One of the best in downtown Venice. Food superbly prepared and the presentation is great as well. Always a treat to dine here.
We lunch there often!!!
Pleasant, friendly staff; excellent food.
The lamb is always amazing and love the small setting. The Chocolate Lava cake is just amazing, You can smell the aroma of the Lava cake when they are baking the cake. Great little restaurant.
This is a very lovely French Resturant with very good food and the Lava cake is wonderful.
Very good authentic French food! A little bit under seasoned, but I we were there on Valentine's day and they were exceptionally busy. The Valentine's Day special was very reasonably priced. Wouls definitely go back!
Best duck I've ever had. Absolutely delicious! Such a wonderful ambience for a romantic occasion.
Great desserts. Red snapper and side vegetables were good. Service was very inconsistent. Very overpriced for what we received.
My wife and I enjoyed Valentine's Day dinner and we ordered off the special menu which was $50 per person and definitely a good deal. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and we were able to eat outside. We will definitely be back.
We went there for a Valentine's dinner. As this was a special day the restaurant had a limited menu which limited selections. Really not able to rate normal menu/food selection. Restaurant is small and tables were very close together which was a little concerning because of vivid. Will try again as service was excellent and would like to experience the daily menu selections.
Showed up on time for our reservation, we were told they’d clean off one of the many dirty tables.
Waited 20 minutes, no efforts were made to clear a table.
We left. Told the wait staff we were leaving, and got a disinterested “we’re busy”.
I’ll never come back. The service here was even worse than the time I ate at a roadside restaurant in France.
One of the best kept quaint spots in town. We lunch there often and Throughly enjoy the restaurant.
We had a fabulous dinner at Cote France consisting of Escargot, French Onion Soup and Smoked Salmon appetizers, Coq Au Vin, Beef Bourguignon, and Cassoulet entrees, and Sunburn and Profiteroles desserts. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent, and we will return soon.
We heard that they changed Chefs and it’s true. This is a positive. Server was just ok. She needs a little polish. Scallops and snapper were good. A little pricey.
Amazing food, every time!
We had reservations for dinner at this delightful restaurant on Saturday night. The food is outstanding here. Unfortunately the service was not. The evening started out fine until the restaurant became full with every table upstairs and down full. With 2 servers it was impossible to keep up. There was no follow up... we might have liked a second glass of wine.... water glasses were not refilled, and there was a miscommunication about dessert. We ordered coffee twice, it never came. Everything we had was divine, but lack of good service puts a damper on your evening. I appreciate what covid has done to small business, but perhaps when the restaurant is completely booked a 3rd server could be added. We will definitely return, but adjust our time of reservation to insure better service.
Given the high marks by others for this restaurant, this was obviously a bad night for them. It started with my wife's hamburger that was supposed to be media rare and was media raw. My tuna special was difficult to discern as tuna, which was definitely not fresh. Finally, the souffle, which my wife and I shared for dessert, was partly frozen (not long enough in the microwave, I guess). We had such high expectations for this place, so we were very disappointed.
