Server was amazing and kind and very attentive. Best French food we have ever had in the US. Very quaint and enjoyable ambiance. Chefs are magnificent. And extremely reasonable price. Many gluten-free options available and willing to work with food allergies. Duck was delicious and Flourless chocolate cake melted in your mouth! Definitely will return!
They were very busy and we had to ask for menu's and to order wine before dinner.
Food was very good and nice presentation.
Superb French restaurant with terrific service. Delightful in every respect!
Everything we had was delicious and the server was outstanding. We will be going back and highly recommend this restaurant. Wonderful dining experience.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Côté France and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We started with glasses of French sparkling wine with their delicious Côté France plate as an appetizer. For entrees, we ordered Coq au Vin and Plance of the Chef which were both beautifully prepared. For dessert, we shared a piece of the flourless chocolate cake. The service is friendly and efficient, and the ambiance is cozy and comfortable. And, free parking is available right across the street which makes it very convenient. Please note that they will be closed for the month of August '21 for vacation.
We really enjoyed all the food. The two guys did everything and it was a good experience. Both were polite chatted some and always moving to cook or keep customers happy. The options were very good, and many seafood and a few beef items this day. Onion soup, and escargot, were excellent. The fish and beef we excellent. The sweet potato was very pureed and sweet and I enjoyed it too. Many wines available, and dessert was delicious too. Overall a great experience with the only downside being a bit cozy with others dining too. We will return when in the area.
Frenchman Tomas was very attentive and made good recommendations. The seafood was very fresh (snapper and scallops), however, they came up short on the sauces. I had the duck breast and while the skin was not crisped, it was cooked medium as requested and was flavorful. We will give them another try!
The food and service are exceptional. We are new to the area and have been there twice in five days.
We were so happy to have discovered Côté France on OpenTable. What a treat! First, the restaurant is very small and is located in a historic building in downtown Venice, FL. We were warmly welcomed at the door and escorted to a fabulous table in the corner overlooking the quaint streets of Venice. Our server was friendly and efficient, and, my only wish is that he would have explained menu and specials in more detail rather than just reading them off the chalk board. We selected the French meat and cheese board as an appetizer and it was fabulous. The selections were perfect and the presentation was exquisite. Our various entrées were all delicious and beautifully prepared. The champagne and wines were delicious. We selected crêpes for dessert. I ordered the lemon and sugar crêpe and it was perfect but, the crêpe Suzettes were just okay. The presentation underwhelming for a flambé and alcohol did not burn off properly. Oh well, not a deal breaker! And, the French press coffee‘s were perfect as well. We will return soon!
Cheese course not to be missed
Will definitely be back
Small place with only one waiter. Service left a lot to be desired. We had to hunt down the waiter for the check after waiting 20 minutes after we were done eating.
Love this small French bistro with authentic and delicious food and good service.
Lovely restaurant. Food was delicious. The only critique I can make is that it was not served hot enough and they don’t list vintages on the wine list. Would have loved more extensive French wine and champagne options.
We were expecting amazing food based on the reviews and although my husband and I thought that the food was good , it was nothing special. It was Mother’s Day and after people were vaccinated, I’m sure they were happy to get out and that the restaurant was a lot fuller than usual. We will be back though to see if the quality of the meals improve
The food was great the service was a little slow but that was to be expected on Mothers Day.
Had wonderful cobia, cooked perfectly with a nice balance of flavors. Sat outside on the cement tables on provided cushions. Will return soon.
We went for Mother’s Day brunch. The food was very good, the service was a little slow but fine as we weren’t in a rush. Had a nice time.
We had a wonderful time with friends at dinner. There a mistake with the order and the chef was very generous and gave us a bottle of wine as well as quickly correcting the order. Wonderful service and ambiance.
Excellent French cuisine served in small quiet bistro setting with great service. Chef Thomas is from Lyon France and upholds the best traditions of classic French cooking. His pate campagne was the best I've had outside of France and the fish special was amazing.
We had an excellent meal - fish special and filet mignon were both great.
We had the rib eye and it was amazing. Our favorite restaurant in Venice for sure. The lava cake is amazing.
We sat upstairs. Whew it was hot. Food was ok. We were here one year ago. It was better then. Onion soup was chewy. Coq au vin was good. Beef bourgenone was tender.
Love the service and the food at this little corner restaurant.
Fantastic specials, great wine and a beautiful evening. We even signed up for their wine tasting dinner for May. Can’t wait!
Excellent food and nicely priced. Friendly and casual
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner, starting with their French onion soup. We both ordered beef entrées. They were well prepared, but for us, after the soup, were too much to finish. The suggested wine 🍷pairing, a 2016 Haut Medoc, was excellent!
Excellent little restaurant with great food and superb service.
A good find....
Come here regularly. Food is consistently very good. Fresh bread is great.
Perfect place for Sunday brunch sitting outside. Great menu with French and American favorites. Good quality and very reasonable prices. Highly recommend. Other menus for lunch and dinner look great too+
Food and beverage were cold
Thomas was the perfect waiter
They always have interesting wines on the Chalkboard
The kind and talented chef was gracious in letting us order coq au vin and boeuf bourguignon for brunch. It was deeply flavored and traditional, as you would hope coming from a man from Lyon. Good service, accommodating our strange desire for French fries. Wines also good. Would return and recommend for normal brunch and coffee specialties, which we saw being consumed around us.
Nice atmosphere. Food was very good and there was a nice wine selection.
Our party of three enjoyed a lovely sunset during our outdoor dinner. The service was exceptional despite one waiter covering all the outdoor tables. And each of us found their food to be really good. Very tasty and well-prepared. Two of us had the filet as poivre and one the scallops. The wine list was relatively short, but we found a lovely bottle and enjoyed it immensely. We highly recommend trying this restaurant. It was quite satisfying and reasonably priced.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner experience before our theatre that night. We have eaten there several times and always come away with a great experience. We will continue to dine there.
After the fifth luncheon I must say Tho’mas has a wonderful restaurant. We had four other friends with us and they raved about the food and value.
Enjoyed lunch at Cote France with a friend. Even ordered dessert, which I normally don’t do!
Excellent food, excellent wines. Personable, attentive service . What more can you ask for ?
Great food with excellent service although we waited forever to get the bill. Would go again.
This is a lovely small restaurant with small menu but fantastic food. The lamb is always fantastic. I had the beef this time and it was amazing and very tender. The desert are always great. You can smell the lava cakes when they are being made. Great little French Resturant.
