Cote D'Azur Ratings and Reviews
Cote D'Azur is better than ever under the new management......They maintanined the fav dishes from the previous owner and have added their own delicious touches. Our group enjoyed, the salmon, the yellow tail snapper ( best preparation anywhere), the lamb chops and the veal tenderloin. The desserts are sublime as well.
European atmosphere with continental comfort. Our table was ready for us when we arrived. Service was excellent. The roasted lobster was outstanding with a champagne caviar sauce. Pear dessert with chocolate caramel ice cream was exceptional. Pricey, but definitely worth it!
Our second visit and it will not be our last, we look forward to trying everything on the menue. We had an excellent bottle of a Saint Emillion Bordeaux that we look forward to again. We had different servers on both visits that were true, helpful professionals that understood a fine dining time line and added to the experience.
A busy New Years Eve admitted, but Tony was either over committed to extra tables or what appeared to be attending to regular customers. Meals were well designed and perfectly prepared, just feeling a bit rushed, then unattended. We'll give CD'A another visit during season on perhaps a less special night. BTW, the Escargo presentation was unusual and delicious in creamed pesto sauce.
This restaurant is simply Outstanding! Provencial cooking well executed, along with excellent service and an appropriate and affordable wine list. I am fortunate enough to dine at the best in NYC and France, and the quality of this establishment is certainly on a par with many at a cost well below. Well worth it!
Worried since this was our first visit with the new owners. Thrilled to see our favorite items were still on the menu especially the mussels appetizers, the tagine and tenderloin. Service was excellent. Tony one of the many familiar faces we saw was outstanding and very attentive. We were very happy that one of our favorite restaurants is still there.
I came out of the state to celebrate my son's 50th birthday and indicated that it was a BD celebration when making reservations. My son chose this place. i called several days before the date and talked with a lady about the BD dinner. Could I buy a cake to bring? No, they
serve a piece of flan cake. Could I bring candles? No, everything will be taken care of. We arrived at 5:30 and a lady greeted us at door and said Welcome and I see you are celebrating a BD. I said yes and this is my son. Dinner was pleasant and our waiter, Tony, was helpful when
we inquired about some of the menu items. He ask us if we wanted any desserts and my son
ordered creme brulee. No BD cake was offered.. When we were leaving I mentioned to same lady that greeted us at the door that this was a BD dinner and it didn't turn out that way.
She said "OH no one told me..I wasn't aware"
NOW really..I called on phone to confirm and then this lady (hostess-maybe) that greeted us said she saw on reservation that we had a BD in our group..
I would not recommend this place for any special occasion.
Excellent evening overall. My only complaint is that the booth seats seem a bit far from the table, and the backs of the booths are shared with the adjoining booth. So when someone at the abutting table moves, you get a jolt. Like having a child kicking the back of your airplane seat.
Knowing that there are new owners, we visited for dinner wondering what the experience would be like. Cote D’Azur was always our favorite French restaurant and we were thrilled to find that the new owners continue to prepare the same menu in the same way as the former owners. These new owners offered several off-menu items as well. The food was delicious, service was professional. We will continue to call this our favorite French restaurant.
We have been going to Côte D'Azur for several years for our anniversary in November. We were very disappointed this year. The service was below their normal standards and there seemed to be an overall tension between workers. The food was adequate at best. The prawn appetizer was undercooked, the escargot was not impressive. The rack of lamb was basically tasteless and was over cooked. Our waiter was more interested in talking with the couple next to us and forgot to refill our water glasses or to offer coffee. We don't know what has happened but it certainly is not the quality restaurant it once was.
Excellent dinner. Will definitely go there again and again. Under new ownership and the food was better than ever. We each had salads that were beautifully presented and full of flavor and freshness. Veal tenderloin was exceptional - perfectly cooked, excellent flavor and presentation. Rack of lamb special also exceptionally done.
Lovely atmosphere and new owner/chef was out on the floor making sure dinners were good. Gave us a wonderful creme brûlée for our anniversary celebration - might be the best I have ever had - creamy, full of flavor, outstanding. A great night.
Food as excellent as always. New owner are certainly present and welcoming the guests. All four of us had the Dover sole & were very pleased. Started with beet salad that was excellent. Looking forward to returning around Christamas. Thank you
My friend and I went for dinner to this place and we had a great dinner. Our server Claude was very attentive with a friendly smile and prompt service. He told us about the daily special. Recommend us the mussels which were delicious, for dessert we had the flan cake with the perfect combination of dessert wine recommended by our server Claude. We even got the previliege to meet the owners that happen to be there. The whole experiment was memorable.
Our waiter told us that the kitchen was sold out of a fish special. The table behind us ordered that same special while we were eating our main course. When we left the new owner said to us that the following to this restaurant is great how can anyone screw that up. I preceded to inform her what happened to us, she then followed us out into the parking lot with our waiter in tow. Telling us that the waiter told us a different special was sold out. I then informed the new owner it is poor form to chastise an employee in front of customers particularly following us out into parking lot. High price low class by ownership was clearly displayed.
Our first time undre the new owner. Really nice. Wonderful evening. Wait staff still in place and remembered us. New middle seating preferable to the previous arrangement. More relaxed, encouraged conversation. Wine list not long, but with real top to bottom value at each price range. Really like wine list being part of the menu. Nice touch. Food not as good as before, but better than almost any place in SW Florida and likely to improve as new owners settle in.
Worth a try.
