Cote D'Azur Ratings and Reviews
Our first time undre the new owner. Really nice. Wonderful evening. Wait staff still in place and remembered us. New middle seating preferable to the previous arrangement. More relaxed, encouraged conversation. Wine list not long, but with real top to bottom value at each price range. Really like wine list being part of the menu. Nice touch. Food not as good as before, but better than almost any place in SW Florida and likely to improve as new owners settle in.
Worth a try.
The food preparation is very good, however expensive when factoring in location, ambiance, noise, crowded setting, less-than-friendly service staff. While entree’s listed were on the ‘high side’, one guest’s choice of Bouillaisebase at $49 was a surprise as it was a ‘special’ not listed on the menu nor told of its cost among most other entrees in the mid to upper $30’s. Similarly also, the corkage fee of $30 does not endear one to the establishment when you’d like to bring a special wine to accompany the other’s purchased. We had a lovely meal but will not rush back.
We always go to Cote D'Azur each time we are in Naples. It is relatively close to our home here, but the key reason we go is the exceptional food, particularly the foie gras starter which is truly exceptional! We both had that and the pheasant tagine which was excellent. Great service and really good French wine completed another good evening and we will of course be back! Just one negative comment to make, the last couple of times we have booked, we have been placed on a table for two near the kitchen. This really lets down the ambience of our dinner and I will definitely request not to be seated there again next time we visit
WE TRAVEL TO NAPLES EACH YAER AND COTE D'AZUR IS A MUST! WE ASKED FOR THE PHEASANT TO BE ADDED TO THE MENU AS A SPECIAL FOR OUR VISIT AND VOILA WE DINED ON THE BEST FOOD AND WINE OF THE YEAR. THANKS ONCE AGAIN FOR A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE.
The ambiance was unique creating privacy under awnings at each booth. Service was friendly, informative, and flexible. Our meal was served at a nice pace. Food selections were many and delightful. I experienced the most tender veal steak I have ever eaten! I look forward to eating at this fine restaurant again soon .
The food was excellent. The service and ambience was fine. Very pricey! They charge $17 to split a meal which is ridiculous! If I had ordered the salad and my husband ordered the entree there would not have been a charge. I probably will kit go back god that reason.
We have eaten at Cote d'Azur many time in the last 10 years and it has always been excellent. This time will probably be our last. It was our anniversary and I requested one of the little booths for 2. The new hostess/owner did not look at the Open Table special requests. She apologized and later reseated us to a booth. They were not extremely busy but our waiter seemed to have a hard time taking care of his tables. My husband ordered duck which was very salty and too brown. I had the snapper with sauce which was more soupy sauce than fish. We were extremely disappointed with our experience. It is too expensive to leave feeling very disappointed. I douibt that we will be going there again. With the previous owners, Sadi and Claude, everything was always superb.
My husband and I were in Naples for his birthday. He is French, so I always like to surprise him with a 'little taste of home.' Knowing nothing about the French establishments in Naples, I did a quick search and read reviews. Beside the great reviews I read, the thing that caught my eye was the video that spoke about the previous owner leaving to return to France to enjoy his retirement with his family. He promised the new owner would keep everything the same, from menu to staff. That personal touch/message to old and new customers showed the dedication he had to his restaurant and clientele. Since we never ate there before we had nothing to compare to, but all I can say is the food is absolutely superb! My husband was able to speak French with our waiter who was from Paris, always a special treat to converse in one's native language. From the appetizers to dessert, our meal was absolutely delicious...the wonderful selection of tastes and colors presented to us in an artistic display made this birthday dinner for my husband one of the highlights of our weekend. We spoke to one of the owners on the way out and expressed our delight at everything, from the quaint ambiance to the fantastic food they prepared for us. This place is a gem for sure!!!
While near the high end of prices for the area ($230 all-in for two), this restaurant continues to be a wonderful option in the area. The food was absolutely top-of -the -line in both quality and creativity. So many so-called top Naples restaurants think that they can charge New York prices for mediocre food. This is one of the few restaurants in Naples where you get what you pay for: exquisitely-prepared regional French cuisine worth every penny you spend.
My wife and I had worked all week to move from our condo into a new house. After finishing we decided to celebrate with dinner at Cote D Azur, unfortunately we ran late and could not make our 8 pm reservation. I called and explained the situation and they said take your time, be safe. Long story short we arrived at 8:50, close to 9 pm closing but they still took excellent care of us. The meal was the best I have had in years, from the Tomato Burrata, Crispy Duck to our Dover Sole. This place is a gem, always solid on food and service!!
New owners have made this an even better restaurant. Great bouillabaisse! Fish was so fresh. And, dover sole, which my wife had, was great. Can't wait to see what new items they will add as they become more familiar with the kitchen and he customers.
A favorite of ours. We went in to celebrate Bastille Day. We were presented with a glass of champagne. We started with escargot. Delicious and a generous portion. I had the filet. It seemed a bit smaller and presentation was different. My partner had the lobster which was divine. We tried the bouillabaisse and it was out of this world. My only wish is a chocolate dessert that doesn't have lactose. We just recently returned from Provence. Many places had a chocolate fondant. It wasn't a soufle - so no long cook time. It was a small round cake with a soft chocolaty center. I'd love to see it on the menu.
First time experience for me. Food was exceptional, with first rate service and a very nice, small restaurant amibiance. Côte D'Azure enjoys a great reputation, and that is obviously well deserved. Great spot for a special occasion.
We dined at Cote D'Azur to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant was pretty empty with only 3 or 4 tables when we arrived and yet they seated us at a tiny table when there were plenty of bigger, nicer tables available. In addition, we were a little surprised that dessert was not complimentary for the person celebrating their birthday. They did however, put a free candle in the dessert we ordered. Woo hoo! Given the cost of dining at this restaurant, I think the owners/management are being a little cheap. Too bad!! Cote D'Azur could be the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion.
