   We dined here on several occasions during our last Windsor/Eton visit. The service was friendly, food excellent and the space was comfortable and inviting. We'll definitely return.

   Having visited Cote Windsor on New Years Eve and having had very disappointing service and an indifferent meal, we decided to give it another chance, as we normally really enjoy the food and ambience of Cote restaurants. We are so glad we did! The whole experience was delightful. Good food, excellent service and friendly warm ambience. Our faith has been restored and we will be visiting again soon.

   Went for new years eve and it was clear the restaurant had either overbooked or suffered from missing staff. The poor waiting staff were overwhelmed and everything took ages. Paid for a set menu but the amuse bouche never came. Was odd that the manager didnt come to apologise to all who were impacted.

    Thé restaurant was lovely with a waterside view. We booked through OpenTable and received an email confirmation but the restaurant didn’t have our booking. They said this often happens and best to use restaurant website. Luckily they were able to find us a table anyway.

    Cote in Eton is a wonderful location beside the river with super views. The food is the usual excellent Cote menu and every dish we had was nicely presented and cooked. All of our party thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The service from the team was excellent especially the more senior of the team who was very attentive and charming. We will go back which is as good a recommendation as you could wish for.

    We walked in to book for an hour to two hours later, happy to take what availability they had, and were told there were no tables available, only to walk outside and book our desired time on OpenTable…. Once we were in, everything was great!

    Starters and main whee to a high standard, ambience was nice with a view over the river. Unfortunately the dessert was not as described and was very unpleasant. No apology and not removed from the bill.. very poor show.

    I have eaten at Cote restaurants before but sorry to say the food this time was very poor. No fault of the front of house staff. My Prawn gratinee was 5 prawns (didn't look like cooked from fresh TBH) 3 croutons in a watery sauce and some green leaves plonked on top. The burger was burnt like leather and was sent back. The replacement minute steak was not the best. I won't be going back.

    Getting quite expensive now for the quality and size of portions: to pay £4 for a sliced tomato as a "salad" with a small quantity of chopped shallot on top is quite ridiculous. Not sure I would use Cote again as a easy choice. Its just too expensive for what it offers despite the understandable cost pressures

    Found this place on OpenTable UK (thank goodness there is a UK version). So glad I did. Six family members from US had lunch there. Food was great, Yahaira (? Yajaira) our server was fantastic as was the restaurant manager. There many food items to choose from and there was a prix fixe menu as well. Wine list was very acceptable. The place was noisy but it was busy and lunch time so it was all good. I love to see a busy restaurant because it tells me the place is good!

    They didn't have us in booking when we arrived, but they were able to fit us in. Some meals were obviously mass produced. One meal was cold, and another was described as 'dry'. Mine was nice but fish didnt smell fresh. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Of the 3 dinners we had in Windsor it was the least satisfactory over all

    Service was ok. Food came out in a timely fashion. The starters were nice but the mains a disaster. The moules had barely any sauce, small portion and at least a quarter weren’t open and therefore weren’t cooked. The fries were undercooked too. The dish wasn’t hot. Warm at best. The filet mignon was well done and was meant to be rare. It was sent back and came back out when everyone else had finished. When it did come back out it just lacked flavour. The steak was either a poor quality or had been frozen as it really lacked anything. It was chewy, the potatoes had no truffle flavour…. A very, very poor dish. My sons pasta was cold when it came out and we had to ask for the cheese three times. My eldest sons burger was ok but the chips were undercooked and again it wasn’t hot. When Cote gets it right it’s great this time it was terrible. No apology made and no reflection of our experience on the bill. We left feeling disappointed.

    We were only 7 minutes late to the closing time of the breakfast (weekend), which was supposed to end at 12:30, we asked if it was possible to have similar options, but the way of dealing was very bad, and unfortunately the worst was from the branch manager who did not even try to give alternative options from the lunch menu, in a way that if you did not like it, you can leave! and this is actually what happened later. This is unprofessional from him and he asked me to browse the website for updates of the branch amd learn how to book before coming when I was told that I am a semi-permanent customer of the restaurant for several branches in London and sometimes there may be delay, but I never have been in the same situation. Despite the beauty of the branch location, it needs more professional staff and importantly manager, thank you!

    We wanted a bite to eat before attending a local panto, and we arrived at 1145. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but it took over 1 hour to receive our meals. A table close by (who were NOT front the same household as they should been due to Windsor being in Tier 2) were raucous and overly loud this impeding on any kind of conversation we wanted to have. We ordered dessert but again this took so long to come we just had to pay the bill and leave. I should have taken the service off as the staff were not attentive, and we felt we didn’t receive any kind of service at all. Won’t be returning here.
