   Arrived only to be told we had no booking by the staff. They tried to tell us to come back later for a table at 8.15. Our booking was for 6pm and we do not live locally and would need to have been making our way back to the train Station at 8.15. The lady staff member was not all that friendly and once I produced the email booking confirmation rather embarrassingly seated us. My food arrived luke warm at best. I was so hungry I ate it and was not inclined to send it back as the shine had already been taken off our meal out due to the issue with no booking. I don’t think I would return there to be honest. An expensive night out for a cold meal!

   Met for pre Christmas meal Booking for 4 at 13.00 Opted for the festive menu but when asked if there was a set price for 2 courses we were told the set price was for 3 courses only For starters 3 opted for the Prawn Gratinee which was advertised as king prawns - a more accurate description was larger than normal but definitely not King Prawns of which there were only 5 working out at over £1.20 per prawn - the other selection chosen was Parsnip Soup which was extremely tasty but served Luke warm For main course we all chose the Turkey Paupiette which was delicious but it was obvious it had been sitting under a heat lamp as the surface of the turkey and vegetables had dried out A very disappointing meal that was greatly overpriced

   Great place, slightly understaffed but they were full. Most other places closed or not accepting any more bookings. Manager was friendly and all the staff were great. Food as always was good

   We both had the set 3 course meal and the food and service was very good.First time at this Cote and not surprised that even on a Monday night was reasonably full.

   The food was terrible. The place looked very nice and the pictures online seemed delicious. But once there, the service was so slow it was like watching a glacier crawl. We ordered the burger for my kids and my mom and it was dry, tough and insipid. The kids did not eat at all! I ordered the steak and it was more nerve than steak. The peppercorn sauce was essentially flour, pepper and water…. My husband ordered the onion soup which was fine and the chicken which was overdone and chewy. The handicapped bathroom was more akin to a train station bathroom, dirty, smelly and the emergency cable hanging from the middle of the room had clearly been patched a few times… Overall, the worst dining experience we’ve had in the UK!

    The food was very very good but unfortunately our waiter wasn’t very good and even tables next to us said how poor he was! Big shame as we had mussles followed by crepes and that was very good.

    Good, reliable yet slightly interesting food. Enjoyed the onion soup and duck confit. Still unsure why having had two courses from the set 2 course menu I was banned from ordering dessert from the a la carte.

    I don’t think I will come here again, food wasn’t great plus is over price, I would, the waiter and the waitress don’t have any ideas how to look after customer, bad food, very bad service, no no no to this restaurant. I eat out a lot but I will not come back to this restaurant again.

    We went to Cote Brasserie for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. Complimentary prosecco on arrival and the staff were warm and welcoming. The food was fantastic with a great choice from light dishes to more substantial meals with plenty of vegetarian options, too. We shared prawns to start. I had salmon with ratatouille (delicious) & my husband had steak which was superb. My chocolate fondant was cooked to perfection. I can’t remember what my husband had for dessert, but we agreed that it was a wonderful meal and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

    The staff had to continually walk close past the back of our table to get to and from kitchen. Distrating when trying to talk. But this would not be a problem for most of the tables. Shared starter of Charcuterie board not good. But everyone enjoyed their main and pudding. Staff tried to take main order as we were eating starter, but happy to come back when we asked them too.
