Exceptional in every way. We’ve been to their Mexico City restaurant and liked this better. However, be prepared to empty the piggy bank. We’ve eaten at exceptional restaurants around the world and never paid $65 for a piece of fish!
I’ve been at the restaurant several times and it’s always great service, great food, the duck carnitas are still my all time favorite!!!
Have enjoyed this restaurant in the past. Our meal this week was ordinary and frankly disappointing. Very expensive for average food. We won’t be returning any time soon
Food was good but not fantastic, service was great quick and reasonably priced. The blow fish was 🔥
This is the first time I'd been to Cosme for dinner and the noise is deafening. The music is WAY too loud to conduct a proper conversation. I was about to leave with my guest when suddenly the maitre D found a "quieter" table in a corner (just a tiny bit quieter but I appreciated his gesture).
Also, the bar stools are too to high I was literally UNABLE to sit on one. This is the first time this has ever happened to me in my life. Who was the decorator who assumed all clients would be over 6 feet tall!
Finally, while the food is divine, I think the fancy cocktails are a bit too complicated. One I tried was undrinkable.
And I think the prices are too high.
Food was very good but not worth the price.
Todo muy rico, además de que tuvieron en detalle especial por nuestro aniversario. La atención es buena.
This restaurant is one of the best I have experienced in New York. Everything was outstanding. I highly recommend the guacamole and the duck
The dishes are well balance and well thought out. Outstanding food and service overall. Nothing short of expectation for one of the world's top 50 best restaurant. The only thing that is hard to swallow is the price.
Very good good, everything we had. Also very good service. The only complaint is the wine list. No American wines at all! Also a bit too heavy on bio/natural wines. A bit too noisy for conversation.
Staff and service is always great. The food is special and superb always. Two top Tables are long so not intimate or great for romantic dinners for two.
The food here is good, but the service is mediocre for the price point.
So so good. Food and service was excellent !!!
We enjoyed every minute a Cosme. Food and service was outstanding.
Sitting next to the service doors lead to occasional bumps from busboys.
I loved the ambiance of the original Pojul and hoped for a similar couture experience.
As an Architect, I wished it felt more special.
Cosme lived up to the rave reviews, and more. Service was outstanding, wonderfully creative menu. Please bottle those sauces... the green mole and sesame chili were incomparable. On par with Ottolenghi's ROVI in London.
Food was delicious but the waiter was awful. Did a terrible job explaining this confusing menu!
Service was slow and chaotic. The food is fine, but the portions were small.
The food was not as good as it once was, and frankly was under-seasoned. The shrimp tostadas clearly were very fresh but were overdressed with mayo and under salted. Spice levels were set to an american 2/10. Mushroom quesadilla was bad, salsa bland. Too expensive for food that lacked conviction in flavor or substance.
An amazing atmosphere, they were very accommodating and respectful, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed, the food is fantastic and the desert excellent, the duck carnitas to die for! time and spirits amazing too.
My first time at Cosme on my short trip to NYC. Lunch was amazing! The thoughtful preparation and perfect balance of spices made for a unique and memorable meal. I enjoyed the seafood sea buckthorn ceviche with delicate blue corn tostada, soft shell crab with yellow mole and husk merengue corn mousse.
I look forward to dining at Cosme again on my next trip to NYC.
Fantastic cocktails, meal and service. Every bite was delightful.
Birthday dinner for my so. Who has travelled in Mexico and studied different regional cuisine
It was amazing
The duck was a warm, inviting wonderful dish to share and the mole is like an adult chocolate sauce.
We will be back
This time we go to the number 23 of the Top 50 Restaurants in the world, @cosmenyc. Headed by one of Top 50 Chefs in the world, @danielasotoinnes and legendary chef @enriqueolveraf.
This place was amazing. The flavors and dishes are well deserved of the ranking. The service was friendly and prompt. I'll need more characters and pages to describe the food. Innovative and executed perfectly. The team working the kitchen is amazing.
I couldn't choose a favorite...
Tataki al pastor
Mole de casa
Soft-shell crab, yellow mole
Husk meringue, corn mousse
Acacia, Mexican chocolate
Fresas con crema
Sorbets: peach, cantaloupe, mamey
Great food, although a bit pricey. Would like to see more options on the menu. Drinks are also really good (and expensive)!
Amazing as always! Love the drinks and appetizers
Every bite was excellent! We skipped the recommended “3 plates per person” suggestion since would have been a LOT. With four plates plus corn mousse for dessert, we had plenty. The service was extremely attentive, and nice amount of space between tables for ambiance. The food was like nothing we’ve had before!
Nuestra mesera Elizabeth nos trató increíble, nos hizo pasar un aniversario y una noche mexicana increíble... que lugar y que trató Recomendable !!!!
intimate ambience, good service, portions were very small but delicious
Apparently after you make a reservation is very complicate to call if you’re late and may lose your table. It may take around 15-20 min to order a single drink. The food is awesome though.
Typical Mexican. By no stretch of the imagination a World’s Best restaurant
The food was ok, nothing memorable. Was expecting better quality for the price. Had the guacamole, prawn tostada, and tataki Al pastor, lunch time.
Magical. It’s my favorite restaurant in New York!
Lots of stylish severs, but very impersonal. It was definitely a diverse, loud and happy crowd. Portions were small...flavors unique and big. Over-order and share. The duck carnitas and corn meringue dessert should not be missed. It’s so trendy that the objective seems to be to move as many people as possible through the tables. Value is in the flavors not the “dear”
contents or ambiance...at the end of the rushed evening you realize you’ve paid a premium for the “Cosme” mystique. Either they’ll figure out how to make it an enjoyable social and dining experience or they’ll be peddling frozen entrees at Trader Joe’s in the not too distant future.
Mejor restaurante Mexicano gourmet en NYC. Unos platos sobresalientes como el guacamole y los tacos de pato. El postre de maíz único. Buena carta de mezcales y excelente servicio
This restaurant shows how versatile the Mexican food can be. This is the first True HIGH END Mexican restaurant that includes Mexican wines in the menu and these are also of an excellent quality. The best example that Mexican does not mean cheap or classless. Congratulations to Chef Olvera
Way over-rate and ridiculously expensive!!!!!!
Excellent meal, although the menu is a bit confusing. The server explained it to us as "tapas-style" which was sort of true for the first and second courses, but the third (main) course was really pretty full-sized dishes. All that is to say, we left way too full and didn't even finish our dessert! But if that's the worst I have to say about a restaurant, it was a pretty great meal.
Great service and ambiance. Food is mostly good, very creative and innovative but has increasingly become less of a good value over the years.
