One of those rare restaurants where the food is soo good you need to try it to believe it.
Outstanding service and food
The food here is second to none. The duck carnitas is to die for! However, the front of the house needs a lot of work. We were here early on a Friday evening, when the restaurant was only half full, yet service was already having difficulties. Our main course appeared 10 minutes before our appetizer--which was not a complex one--guacamole! Drinks ordered took an inordinate amount of time to arrive, and servers were attempting to remove service items when food was still clearly on plates. The prices here are also sky high--no cocktail under $19.00 for an average (as opposed to generous) pour. Were the food not so superb we wouldn't give Cosme a second thought.
Really disappointed with the service, I mentioned it was my Gf's birthday on several occasions and they assured me they would bring her a cake, but this never happened. Food was average at best, nothing remarkable and not helped with the service.
Food not soo good
and terrible service!!
I was looking forward to trying this restaurant because of all the hype. I was very disappointed. The food was just “ok” and my margarita was horrible.
While the food is outstanding, the portion sizes are ridiculously small in relation to prices. A terrible value.
La comida excedió las expectativas, las cuales eran muy altas. Una experiencia inigualable y mut recomendable.
Love the food here as it' s always impeccable, but i have recently found the hostess'es to be extremely rude. Its taking away from the overall experience. Used to come all the time but find myself shying away these days...
Excellent innovative Mexican cuisine accompanied by flawless service
Excellent food and ambiance. We understand food quality, complicated preparation and service, but felt that prices were extremely high, especially for wines. A bottle in Cosme costs $140 while in NOBU, same wine costs $85. Prices for dessert, out of wack!!!😩
Outstanding meal; attentive waiters. A bit pricey but definitely worth it!
It was really nice that they gave us little cake to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Their service overall was really nice and kind.
Was very pleasant, having been to some lower ranked restaurants; admittedly left feeling underwhelmed by the dining experience. No particular negatives, food was well presented and complimentary food tatse matched. Would both recommend and revisit.
Dinner with a friend from Asia. We were seated on time and food was very good. My friend enjoyed it very much.
Way overpriced. small portions except the entrees. Confusing menu
It was brunch,
The tables at the back have lighting fixtures at the wrong level, Eye level , it glares. Maybe we were not lucky to get a guest next to us with loud voice and scrapping his skillet was too loud!!
The presentation of the shrimp tostadas, use of flour tortilla, disappointing.
The food here is amazing!
One of our favourite special occasion restaurants. Fabulous food and drinks! Unique flavor combinations. This restaurant is pricey, but for a great night out it is a real treat, not to be missed!!
I told my wife (and baby) for her bday and the whole experience was just fantastic! Proud of what Chef Olvera is doing to elevate Mexican gastronomy around the world!
I was disappointed. The portions are really tiny foe the price, and i given the hype i was expecting something truly special. Didn’t think it was worth it.
Duck carnitas are a must! One of the tastiest meals ever
Exceptional in every way. We’ve been to their Mexico City restaurant and liked this better. However, be prepared to empty the piggy bank. We’ve eaten at exceptional restaurants around the world and never paid $65 for a piece of fish!
I’ve been at the restaurant several times and it’s always great service, great food, the duck carnitas are still my all time favorite!!!
Have enjoyed this restaurant in the past. Our meal this week was ordinary and frankly disappointing. Very expensive for average food. We won’t be returning any time soon
Food was good but not fantastic, service was great quick and reasonably priced. The blow fish was 🔥
This is the first time I'd been to Cosme for dinner and the noise is deafening. The music is WAY too loud to conduct a proper conversation. I was about to leave with my guest when suddenly the maitre D found a "quieter" table in a corner (just a tiny bit quieter but I appreciated his gesture).
Also, the bar stools are too to high I was literally UNABLE to sit on one. This is the first time this has ever happened to me in my life. Who was the decorator who assumed all clients would be over 6 feet tall!
Finally, while the food is divine, I think the fancy cocktails are a bit too complicated. One I tried was undrinkable.
And I think the prices are too high.
Food was very good but not worth the price.
Todo muy rico, además de que tuvieron en detalle especial por nuestro aniversario. La atención es buena.
This restaurant is one of the best I have experienced in New York. Everything was outstanding. I highly recommend the guacamole and the duck
The dishes are well balance and well thought out. Outstanding food and service overall. Nothing short of expectation for one of the world's top 50 best restaurant. The only thing that is hard to swallow is the price.
Very good good, everything we had. Also very good service. The only complaint is the wine list. No American wines at all! Also a bit too heavy on bio/natural wines. A bit too noisy for conversation.
The food here was absolutely delicious. And the server was extremely knowledgeable and cautious about ingredients, which is important to me as a Celiac. The only reason I knocked off a star is too get people to read this - because this is not your regular Mexican food. It is high end gourmet with a Mexican flair, and the prices are definitely not for everyone. But we loved everything we had & considered it worth every penny. Especially the crab puff, the bass, and tataki al pastor.
Staff and service is always great. The food is special and superb always. Two top Tables are long so not intimate or great for romantic dinners for two.
The food here is good, but the service is mediocre for the price point.
So so good. Food and service was excellent !!!
